Pressing toward the Goal Ahead

We are not called to fellowship with nonexistence. We are called to things that exist in truth, to positive things, and it is as we become occupied with these that health comes to the soul. Spiritual life cannot feed on negatives. The man who is constantly reciting the evils of his unconverted days is looking in the wrong direction. He is like a man trying to run a race while looking back over his shoulder.

What the Christian used to be is altogether the least important thing about him. What he is yet to be is all that should concern him. He may occasionally, as Paul sometimes did, remember to his own shame the life he once lived; but that should be only a quick glance; it is never to be a fixed gaze. Our long permanent look is on God and the glory that shall be revealed. What we are saved from and what we are saved to bear the same relation to each other as a serious illness and recovered health.

The physician should stand between these two opposites to save from one and restore to the other. Once the great sickness is cured the memory of it should be thrust out onto the margin of the mind to grow fainter and weaker as it retreats farther away; and the fortunate man whose health has been restored should go on to use his new strength to accomplish something useful for mankind.

Yet many persons permit their sick bodies to condition their mental stuff so that after the body has gotten well they still retain the old feeling of chronic invalidism they had before. They are recovered, true enough, but not to anything. We have but to imagine a group of such persons testifying every Sunday about their late illnesses and singing plaintive songs about them and we have a pretty fair picture of many gatherings among Christians today.

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night....

Tonight I Pray that we realize that there is nothing that can separate us from His great love.  He is always right there for us no matter how hard life has gotten.  I pray that you put all of you trust in Him as you walk with Him daily.  It is when you make the choice to choose a different trail that you take yourself out of the light of His great love!!!  I pray that as soon as you realize that you have strayed away from the path He has planned for your life that you call out to Him.  “Jesus I want you as the center of my life and I trust you with every part of my life.”  When you do this you will be back on the path with Him. For He says; “trust in me and I will make all of your paths straight.” I pray that He gives you a great hunger for His Word so that you will grow in His Will and Way for your life and never fall away or forget the promise that He has made to all of us. “I am with you always even until the end of the age.”  Let this assurance fill you with His Peace and Joy so that you can rest in the light of His Love.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen… I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!! ♥♥♥

All things else being equal, a Christian will make spiritual progress exactly in proportion to his ability to criticize himself.

Paul said, "But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment" (1 Corinthians 11:31). We escape the critical judgment of God by exercising critical self-judgment. It is as simple as that.

We often hear the axiom "Practice makes perfect." The fact is that practice, far from making perfect, actually confirms us in our faults unless it is carried on in a humble, self-critical spirit. The whole philosophy of instruction rests upon the idea that the learner is wrong and is seeking to be made right. No teacher can correct his pupil unless the pupil comes to him in humility. The only proper attitude for the learner is one of humble self-distrust. "I am ignorant," he says, "and am willing to be taught. I am wrong and am willing to be corrected." In this childlike spirit, the mind is made capable of improvement.

Tonight I pray that the Lord will bless you as you thank Him as you walk through the storms in your life.  That He will blanket you with His peace and you will become aware of His Presence in your life.  I pray that as you release your worries to Him, it will clear the way for you to seek His face unhindered.  Let Him free you from the fear hiding deep inside you. Sit quietly in His Presence and allow His warm light to soak into you and drive out all of the darkness inside you. That your thankful attitude will open the windows of heaven and His blessings will fall upon you through those openings into eternity. In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!!♥♥♥

The Danger of Eloquence

There are few things in religious circles held in greater esteem than eloquence. Yet there are few things of less actual value or that bring with them greater temptation or more harm.

One qualification everyone expects a preacher to have is the ability to discourse fluently on almost any religious or moral subject. Yet such ability is at best a doubtful asset and unless brought to Christ for cleansing may easily turn out to be the greatest enemy the preacher faces here below. The man who finds that he is able to preach on a moment's notice should accept his ability as an obstacle over which he must try to get victory before he is at his best for God and His kingdom.

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

Tonight I Pray that whenever you feel distant from Jesus, whisper HIS name. For it is when you do this you are putting all of your trust in Him and this will help you to restore your awareness of His Holy Presence.  In this fallen world that we live in so many people claim to not believe in Him but use His name in cursing every day. I pray that we bless the Lord at all times; that we allow His praise to be continually on our lips, so that our souls can boast in the Lord! I pray that as we fellowship with others we will magnify the Lord and exalt His name together!!!  I pray that the Holy Spirit will move within us all and teach us that there is no fear in His Love which shines on each one of us continually.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!! ♥♥♥

No Morality Without God

It has always seemed to me completely inconsistent that existentialism should deny the existence of God and then proceed to use the language of theism to persuade men to live right. The French writer, Jean-Paul Sartre, for instance, states frankly that he represents atheistic existentialism.  If God does not exist, he says, we find no values or commands to turn to which legitimize our conduct.

So in the bright realm of values, we have no excuse behind us, nor justification before us. We are all alone, with no excuses. Yet in the next paragraph he states bluntly, Man is responsible for his passion, and further on, A coward is responsible for his cowardice. And such considerations as these, he says, fill the existentialist with anguish, forlornness and despair. It seems to me that such reasoning must assume the truth of everything it seeks to deny. If there were no God there would be no such words as responsible. No criminal need fear a judge who does not exist; nor would he need to worry about breaking a law that had not been passed. It is the knowledge that the law and the judge do in fact exist that strikes fear to the lawbreaker’s heart. There is someone to whom he is accountable; otherwise the concept of responsibility could have no meaning.

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

TONIGHT I Pray that you do not expect to be treated fairly in this life.  As we move closer to the rapture of the church things will get harder for you.  God never promised us that being a Christian would be easy, He did promise us that He would never leave or forsake us.  I pray that when people are mean and say hurtful things to you that you will to use this as an opportunity to grow in God’s Grace.  See how quickly that you can forgive the one who has wounded you. Don’t worry about setting the record straight.  God sees everything and knows what is happening in your life.  I pray that instead of obsessing over what people think that you keep your focus on God and what HE thinks of you.  Never forget that we are not called to be like other Christians we are called to be like Christ.  I pray that you see that HIS ways are much better than the ways of this world.  His ways are Peace and Love. I pray that the wind of the Holy Spirit will blow His fullness into your life and that you will be clothed in His Love and Peace.  Then you will be able to smile at others with HIS Joy and love them with His Love!   In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Working Out What God Works In You

The Holy Spirit in this passage is saying two things: God works in you to will, but you are to work with God in working it out. God works in you--that is, God is always previous. God is the aggressor. God saw you in the rut and wanted you to get out it. He thought of it first, not you. The impulse to know God came from Him and not from you.

God works first, and because God works we are to work with Him. We are therefore to dismiss all doubts and all morbid humility. It is entirely possible to be so humble, in a sick kind of way, that you paralyze yourself and get nowhere. For instance, you say to yourself, "That man has been preaching about getting out of the religious rut. While I haven’t agreed with everything, I have been feeling that I am in a rut and that I ought to get out. This circular grave is getting deeper every year of my life, and I can hardly see out of it. Give me four or five more years and you’ll look right over me and not know I’m here. I need help. But I wonder if God will help me." That is morbid humility. . . .

The very fact that you want out is proof that God has been working in you to will to get out. And if God worked in you to want to get out, then when you ask Him to get you out, do you suppose He would not help you out? Would God put an impulse in your heart and then refuse to accept your prayer when you came in answer to that impulse? . . .

I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

I Pray Tonight that you take everything to God in prayer and realize that all of your mistakes can be recycled into something good through HIS transforming Grace!!!  Leave all of them right there with Him.  I pray that you trust in Him and do not be afraid.  Keep your eyes on Jesus and draw ever closer to Him.  I pray that as you grow closer to Him that you begin to see yourself from His perspective. For it is when we begin to look through His eyes we see that we are His beloved child.  He will take our errors and weave each one of them into an intricate work that is good. I pray that we realize that in Him we have redemption from sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.  I pray that you remember He is our song, our strength and that He wants us to live in conscious awareness of His Presence as we journey together towards heaven.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen. I Love You All!!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

Tonight I Pray that you realize that the Lord wants you to experience the riches of your salvation. Experience the joy of being a new creation in Christ Jesus, the old things have passed away and behold, all things have become new!  You are loved perfectly and constantly.  I pray that you stop judging yourself based on how you look or feel on a certain day.  Stop trying to fix yourself, instead fix your eyes upon Jesus, He is the lover of your soul.  Instead of judging yourself, use that energy to praise the Lord.  Come to Him with an attitude of thanksgiving.  I pray that you concentrate on staying close to Him at all times.  For when your focus is fixed on Him your walk will be an authentic one.  Refresh yourself in His Presence, trust in Him each moment of your day knowing that He is with you, watching over you wherever you go. He will never leave you or forsake you.  Stand on that faith!!!  In Jesus name I Pray, Amen and Amen….  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!!

Word of the Day... January 25, 2016...

I am not surprised that I still meet people who do not believe that Jesus Christ is going to return to earth. In fact, some of them, armed with their own Bibles and interpretations, are insistent on setting me "straight." One gentleman has written saying that I have it all wrong, and that Paul did not mean what I had said he meant, as I applied Paul's statement to everyday life. I took time to write a reply: "When it comes to saying what he meant, Paul's batting average has been pretty good up to now. So, I will string along with what Paul plainly, clearly said." I did not figure I needed someone to straighten me out-particularly someone who had decided the Bible does not mean what it says. No one is going to argue me out of my faith in what God has revealed and what God has said. As far as I am concerned, it is a fact that Jesus is coming again! The question I do raise is this: Are we prepared spiritually for His coming? Are we tolerating conditions in our midst that will cause us embarrassment when He does come?

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

I Pray Tonight that you come to the Lord with a thankful heart, realizing that when you do He will help you through every difficult time and your problems will fade and lose their power to trip you up. For it is when we let go and give everything to Him that we are set free from worry and despair. I pray that you trust in Him enough to let Him have complete control of your life as He chooses.  Don’t keep trying to make things happen according to your ways. I pray that you get a real hunger for His Word so that you can give every part of your mind, body spirit and soul over to Him so that the Holy Spirit can move mightily through you and allow you to walk in His Power and Glory!!   Refresh yourself in His Presence and rest in the light of His love.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!! ♥♥♥

The Way of Cain
Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.
—Jude 1:11

The Bible warns us about "the way of Cain" (see Jude 1:11). What is the way of Cain? For one thing, it is to worship God with impure motives. Cain brought his offering to the Lord, but he didn't bring it in faith. No matter how great your gift may be, if your heart is wrong, then it will mean nothing.

The way of Cain is also to have a heart and life that are filled with jealousy, envy, and hatred. There always will be people who will do better than you. There always will be someone who is better looking, more successful or more intelligent than you. So will you go through life frustrated and filled with jealousy and envy? Or, are you going to say, "God, everything I have is a gift from You anyway, and I am going to thank You for it. I don't want to destroy my life through envy and jealousy"?

Lastly, the way of Cain is to lie to God about what you have done. There is only one way to deal with sin, and that is to tell the truth because God knows anyway. God knew what Cain was about to do, and He warned him. But Cain did what he thought he should do, and sin pounced on him, consumed him, and mastered him just as God said it would.

It is the same for those of us today as well. Don't walk in the way of Cain. Instead, walk in the way of Abel. Hebrews 11:4 tells us that "by faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks." The way of Abel leads to blessing.

Tonight I Pray that as you trust in the Lord that He will keep you in HIS perfect peace, and HE will protect those whose minds cannot be changed, because they trust in HIM.  His peace is like a warm bright light that will shine on you and through you constantly.  You only need to put all of your trust in Him and refuse to worry.  I pray that during these last days as you face hard times that you will realize that the Lord Jesus is our Strength and our Song.  Seek Him out and you shall find Him and He will empower you to handle each task as it comes.  I pray that as you keep trusting in Him that the warm light of His Presence will envelope you with HIS love, Peace and Joy that circumstances can never touch.  In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!!

The Green-Eyed Monster
Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.
—Genesis 4:4–5

If you want to be a miserable person, then be an envious person. It is not necessarily a bad thing to admire something that someone else has. When we say, "I envy you. You are going on vacation," we aren't necessarily using envy in the worst sense of the word.

To envy is to be angry when someone else has something that you don't have. A literal definition of the word envy is "a malignant or hostile feeling." So it is not a matter of saying, "You have a lot. Wow, that is really great! I wish I had that!"

Rather, it's an attitude that says, I am actually angry with you that you have those things and I don't have them.

Envy has been described as a small-town sin; it breeds on proximity. We don't tend to envy someone who is famous and successful. Instead, we envy our neighbors, a relative, or a coworker. We are fine as long as we are all equal, as long as we are all on the same playing field. But if one begins to succeed, if one gets an opportunity we think we should have had, if one has something wonderful happen, we become envious.

We don't know exactly what caused Cain to murder his brother Abel, but I think it is safe to say that envy and jealousy played a part. Abel's sacrifice was accepted, and Cain's was not. Envy unchecked can become a major problem, and Cain's envy led to murder. Cain was not mastered by God, so he became enslaved by the Devil.

Shakespeare called envy the green-eyed monster, and it's a green-eyed monster that can strangle you. Be a jealous person, and you will give the Devil a foothold just as Cain did—and you will face the repercussions.

Tonight I Pray that as His children we can enjoy resting IN HIM and glorify Him in the midst of adverse circumstances.  For it is when we stand on our faith and trust in HIM that His light shines brightest through us even in the darkest night. I pray that we all remember just WHO lives within each one of us.  That our Father left us a HELPER who is the Holy Spirit and through the intimacy of our relationship with Him we are transformed from the inside out!!!  When we yield to Him and allow Him to set the pace in our life, we can enjoy the tempo of a God breathed life. I pray that we all hold tightly to His hand as a little child and He will open the way and light our path even unto the radiance of His Glorious Presence!!!  In Jesus name I Pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!!♥♥♥

Word of the Day... January 22, 2016....

Anyone making even a quick review of Genesis will discover that God has told us more about His presence in creation and in history than about the details of human civilization. We believe that eternity dwells in the Person of God and that the material universe came into being through God's creation. The first man and woman in the human race were created. They failed in their initial encounter with Satan, our archenemy. Following that, the Genesis record becomes a narrative of human failure against the abiding backdrop of God's faithfulness. God Himself, through the Holy Spirit, points out a universal problem: the natural brotherhood of human beings is a sinful brotherhood. It is the brotherhood of all who are spiritually lost. But the Bible has good news. It is the revelation of a new brotherhood, the brotherhood of the redeemed! We know it in our time as the believing church of our Lord Jesus Christ in all nations. It is a new brotherhood among men based on regeneration -and restoration!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

Tonight I Pray that you realize that you have to go through a storm to get to the other side where the Son is warm and bright!!! Never forget dear ones that He has promised us that he will never leave us or forsake us ever!!! Remember that night on the boat with His disciples as they crossed the sea and the storm came.  Jesus continued to sleep and never worried for a second.  If only the disciples had remembered what He had told them, “lets cross to the other side of the lake.” If they had remembered His words they would never have feared.  So I pray that as you are going through this storm do not fear even when the winds howl and the seas threaten to sink your boat.  Just call His name Jesus…. Wait listen He has never left your side!!!!  He is right there with you through everything!!!  I pray that you trust that He will make a way when there seem to be none.  Stand on that faith!!! Satan is a liar and has already been defeated!!!  Just hold on to His hand and enjoy the ride across the sea until you get to the other side and can stand again on His solid rock!!!  He shall fill you with JOY unspeakable and fill you to overflowing with His love and glory!!!  I pray that you never doubt it.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you All!!!  Maranatha and God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day... January 21, 2016...

The Saint Must Walk Alone

Most of the world's great souls have been lonely. Loneliness seems to be one price the saint must pay for his saintliness.
In the morning of the world (or should we say, in that strange darkness that came soon after the dawn of man's creation), that pious soul, Enoch, walked with God and was not, for God took him; and while it is not stated in so many words, a fair inference is that Enoch walked a path quite apart from his contemporaries.
Another lonely man was Noah who, of all the antediluvians, found grace in the sight of God; and every shred of evidence points to the aloneness of his life even while surrounded by his people.
Again, Abraham had Sarah and Lot, as well as many servants and herdsmen, but who can read his story and the apostolic comment upon it without sensing instantly that he was a man "whose soul was alike a star and dwelt apart"? As far as we know not one word did God ever speak to him in the company of men. Face down he communed with his God, and the innate dignity of the man forbade that he assume this posture in the presence of others. How sweet and solemn was the scene that night of the sacrifice when he saw the lamps of fire moving between the pieces of offering. There, alone with a horror of great darkness upon him, he heard the voice of God and knew that he was a man marked for divine favor.
Moses also was a man apart. While yet attached to the court of Pharaoh he took long walks alone, and during one of these walks while far removed from the crowds he saw an Egyptian and a Hebrew fighting and came to the rescue of his countryman. After the resultant break with Egypt he dwelt in almost complete seclusion in the desert. There, while he watched his sheep alone, the wonder of the burning bush appeared to him, and later on the peak of Sinai he crouched alone to gaze in fascinated awe at the Presence, partly hidden, partly disclosed, within the cloud and fire.
The prophets of pre-Christian times differed widely from each other, but one mark they bore in common was their enforced loneliness. They loved their people and gloried in the religion of the fathers, but their loyalty to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and their zeal for the welfare of the nation of Israel drove them away from the crowd and into long periods of heaviness. "I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children," cried one and unwittingly spoke for all the rest.
Most revealing of all is the sight of that One of whom Moses and all the prophets did write, treading His lonely way to the cross. His deep loneliness was unrelieved by the presence of the multitudes.
'Tis midnight, and on Olive's brow
The star is dimmed that lately shone;
'Tis midnight; in the garden now,
The suffering Savior prays alone.
'Tis midnight, and from all removed
The Savior wrestles lone with fears;
E'en the disciple whom He loved
Heeds not his Master's grief and tears.
- William B. Tappan

He died alone in the darkness hidden from the sight of mortal man and no one saw Him when He arose triumphant and walked out of the tomb, though many saw Him afterward and bore witness to what they saw. There are some things too sacred for any eye but God's to look upon. The curiosity, the clamor, the well-meant but blundering effort to help can only hinder the waiting soul and make unlikely if not impossible the communication of the secret message of God to the worshiping heart.

Sometimes we react by a kind of religious reflex and repeat dutifully the proper words and phrases even though they fail to express our real feelings and lack the authenticity of personal experience. Right now is such a time. A certain conventional loyalty may lead some who hear this unfamiliar truth expressed for the first time to say brightly, "Oh, I am never lonely. Christ said, `I will never leave you nor forsake you,' and `Lo, I am with you alway.' How can I be lonely when Jesus is with me?"

Now I do not want to reflect on the sincerity of any Christian soul, but this stock testimony is too neat to be real. It is obviously what the speaker thinks should be true rather than what he has proved to be true by the test of experience. This cheerful denial of loneliness proves only that the speaker has never walked with God without the support and encouragement afforded him by society. The sense of companionship which he mistakenly attributes to the presence of Christ may and probably does arise from the presence of friendly people. Always remember: you cannot carry a cross in company. Though a man were surrounded by a vast crowd, his cross is his alone and his carrying of it marks him as a man apart. Society has turned against him; otherwise he would have no cross. No one is a friend to the man with a cross. "They all forsook Him, and fled."

The pain of loneliness arises from the constitution of our nature. God made us for each other. The desire for human companionship is completely natural and right. The loneliness of the Christian results from his walk with God in an ungodly world, a walk that must often take him away from the fellowship of good Christians as well as from that of the unregenerate world. His God-given instincts cry out for companionship with others of his kind, others who can understand his longings, his aspirations, his absorption in the love of Christ; and because within his circle of friends there are so few who share inner experiences, he is forced to walk alone. The unsatisfied longings of the prophets for human understanding caused them to cry out in their complaint, and even our Lord Himself suffered in the same way.

The man who has passed on into the divine Presence in actual inner experience will not find many who understand him. A certain amount of social fellowship will of course be his as he mingles with religious persons in the regular activities of the church, but true spiritual fellowship will be hard to find. But he should not expect things to be otherwise. After all he is a stranger and a pilgrim, and the journey he takes is not on his feet but in his heart. He walks with God in the garden of his own soul - and who but God can walk there with him? He is of another spirit from the multitudes that tread the courts of the Lord's house. He has seen that of which they have only heard, and he walks among them somewhat as Zacharias walked after his return from the altar when the people whispered, "He has seen a vision."

The truly spiritual man is indeed something of an oddity. He lives not for himself but to promote the interests of Another. He seeks to persuade people to give all to his Lord and asks no portion or share for himself. He delights not to be honored but to see his Savior glorified in the eyes of men. His joy is to see his Lord promoted and himself neglected. He finds few who care to talk about that which is the supreme object of his interest, so he is often silent and preoccupied in the midst of noisy religious shoptalk. For this he earns the reputation of being dull and overserious, so he is avoided and the gulf between him and society widens. He searches for friends upon whose garments he can detect the smell of myrrh and aloes and cassia out of the ivory palaces, and finding few or none, he, like Mary of old, keeps these things in his heart.

It is this very loneliness that throws him back upon God. "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up." His inability to find human companionship drives him to seek in God what he can find nowhere else. He learns in inner solitude what he could not have learned in the crowd - that Christ is All in All, that He is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption, that in Him we have and possess life's summum bonum.

Two things remain to be said. One, that the lonely man of whom we speak is not a haughty man, nor is he the holier-than-thou, austere saint so bitterly satirized in popular literature. He is likely to feel that he is the least of all men and is sure to blame himself for his very loneliness. He wants to share his feelings with others and to open his heart to some like-minded soul who will understand him, but the spiritual climate around him does not encourage it, so he remains silent and tells his griefs to God alone.

The second thing is that the lonely saint is not the withdrawn man who hardens himself against human suffering and spends his days contemplating the heavens. Just the opposite is true. His loneliness makes him sympathetic to the approach of the brokenhearted and the fallen and the sin-bruised. Because he is detached from the world, he is all the more able to help it. Meister Eckhart taught his followers that if they should find themselves in prayer and happen to remember that a poor widow needed food, they should break off the prayer instantly and go care for the widow. "God will not suffer you to lose anything by it," he told them. "You can take up again in prayer where you left off and the Lord will make it up to you." This is typical of the great mystics and masters of the interior life from Paul to the present day.

The weakness of so many modern Christians is that they feel too much at home in the world. In their effort to achieve restful "adjustment" to unregenerate society they have lost their pilgrim character and become an essential part of the very moral order against which they are sent to protest. The world recognizes them and accepts them for what they are. And this is the saddest thing that can be said about them. They are not lonely, but neither are they saints.

Word of the Day... January 20, 2016...

Wherever faith has proved itself to be real, it has inevitably had upon it a sense of the "present" God. The holy Scriptures possess in marked degree this feeling of actual encounter with a real Person. The men and women of the Bible talked with God. They spoke to Him and heard Him speak in words they could understand. With Him they held person-to-person converse, and a sense of shining reality is upon their words and deeds. This sense of "Someone there" filled the members of the early Christian church with abiding wonder. The solemn delight which those early disciples knew sprang straight from the conviction that there was One in the midst of them-they were in the very Presence of God! This sense of "Someone" there makes religion invulnerable to critical attack. It secures the mind against collapse under the battering of the enemy. Those who worship the God who is present may ignore the objection of unbelieving men!

I pray that you remember everything our Savior did for us and take that Love out into a very dark world and light it up with HIS glory!!!!  Remember who your Father is and walk in HIS LIGHT!!! Give Him thanks and praise knowing that we can never praise Him too much and that our Lord will inhabit the praises of His people and the more we praise Him the closer and more intimate our walk with Him will become.  I pray we stand on the knowledge and have faith that He is with us and watches over us where ever we go.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!!! ♥♥♥

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…..

Tonight I Pray that you realize that God is our refuge and our strength and ever present help in times of trouble.  I pray that you allow Him to enfold you in the radiance of HIS Glory!!! I pray that when you sit in the stillness of the night and listen for His voice, you will hear Him.  For it is when we make the time to visit with Jesus we get to know Him on a more intimate level and He will bless you for putting Him first in your life.  I pray that as you spend this quality time with Jesus you will begin to see Him transform you from the inside out.  Then He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. I pray that you hold tightly to Him in childlike faith and never waiver but stand firm in His Word and he will lead you into the light of His great love.  In Jesus name I Pray, Amen and Amen…. I Love You All!!!   God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Is There Someone You Need to Forgive?
"Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another."
 —Colossians 3:12–13

The film Les Misérables, adapted from Victor Hugo's book by the same name, is the story of Jean Valjean, who was sent to prison for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family.

Upon his release, Valjean goes to a monastery, where he is shown kindness by the bishop. But at night, he runs off with the bishop's silver and is captured by the police. While being questioned, the bishop tells the police that he gave the silver to Valjean. Once the police leave, the bishop gives Valjean two silver candlesticks and tells him that he has been spared by God and that he must make an honest man of himself.

The bishop says, "Jean Valjean, my brother, you no longer belong to evil, but to good. It is your soul that I buy from you and I give it to God." Valjean, wanting to start a new life, under a new identity, breaks his parole conditions and is then pursued by an officer known as Javert.

Javert hunts Valjean, but Valjean just wants to live in peace. Later in the story, Valjean has an opportunity to kill Javert, but instead sets him free. Valjean also showed many acts of kindness, including adopting Cosette, the daughter of a prostitute named Fantine—a forgiven man, becomes a forgiving man.

We all love stories like that. But what about when we have someone to forgive?

Paul reminds us in the Book of Ephesians, "And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you!" (Ephesians 4:30–32 NLT, emphasis added). Is there someone that you need to forgive?

When you forgive someone, you set a prisoner free: yourself!

Word of the Day... January 16, 2016....

The amount of loafing practiced by the average Christian in spiritual things would ruin a concert pianist if he allowed himself to do the same thing in the field of music. The idle puttering around that we see in church circles would end the career of a big league pitcher in one week. No scientist could solve his exacting problem if he took as little interest in it as the rank and file of Christians take in the art of being holy. The nation whose soldiers were as soft and undisciplined as the soldiers of the churches would be conquered by the first enemy that attacked it. Triumphs are not won by men in easy chairs. Success is costly.

If we would progress spiritually, we must separate ourselves unto the things of God and concentrate upon them to the exclusion of a thousand things the worldly man considers important. We must cultivate God in the solitudes and the silence; we must make the kingdom of God the sphere of our activity and labor in it like a farmer in his field, like a miner in the earth.

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night.....

Tonight I Pray that you realize the Lord is with us in all that we do. He is always aware of what we are doing and cares about everything in our life, right down to the smallest detail.  I pray that you will learn to rest in Jesus and trust in Him for every part of your life. Take everything to Him in prayer and be still and wait upon Him.  The weaker you are the more gentle He will be with you.  Allow your weakness to be the door to His Presence.  I pray that you know He will be your ever present help, your strength and your refuge.  I pray that as you keep your eyes focused on Him you will be protected from falling into the deep waters of depression and self-pity. I pray that you get a real hunger for His Word so that you will grow closer to Him and never let go of His hand as He leads you through the obstacles that life presents.  Walk in the warmth of His light and love!!! In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day... January 14, 2016....

The godly men of old through whom the Scriptures came to us were faithful in their exhortations to personal faith and godliness, characteristic of the early church. The apostolic method of teaching, instructing and encouraging was based on solid and fundamental Christian doctrine. This was Paul's method in his New Testament letters. First he gives his readers the scriptural reasons for certain Christian actions and attributes. He provides the basis and reason-then he exhorts the readers to respond appropriately. We do not know if Paul was the human writer to the Hebrews, but the method of exhortation is like Paul's. We are assured that Christ is greater than Moses and greater than the angels and that He purchased mankind's salvation. Then the exhortation: if all of these things are true, then we should keep on loving one another, keep on praying for one another. It is a good and gracious argument: because we have reasons for doing something, we ought to do it without del ay and without reservation!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night.....

Tonight I Pray that you trust the Lord Jesus with all of your thoughts.  Don’t hold anything back from Him.  Confess every sin to Him that is on your heart and leave them there with Him. I pray that you practice thinking in certain ways – Trusting Him and thanking Him.  Then those thoughts will become more natural.  We pray that you reject sinful or negative thoughts as soon as you become aware of them.    It is when you do this that your mind will be on the Lord all throughout your day.  This method of controlling your thoughts will keep your mind in HIS Presence and your feet on HIS path to peace.  Saturate your spirit, your soul, your minds and your body, With HIS Holy Presence, In Jesus name, I pray.   Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!!!! ♥♥♥

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…..

Tonight I pray that when everything is going wrong in your life that you will look to the Lord for growth opportunities in your life.  Especially look for areas in your life that you need to let go of and give to the Lord. Thank the Lord as you go through these times and count it all joy as you walk with Him through these trials.  Trust Him to orchestrate everything that happens in your life.  For it is when our faith is tested that it produces patience and if patience has its perfect work, you may be perfect and complete lacking in nothing.  I pray that you are looking for what the Lord is doing in your life. Hold tightly to His hands in these last days and worship Him by living close to Him and thanking Him in all circumstances.  In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen And Amen. I Love You All!!! God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

Tonight I pray that you allow yourself to grow strong in the Light of HIS Presence!  The world around you is moving so quickly that sometimes you feel overwhelmed. He is the calm at the center of your life during the storm!!!  Your weakness does not make Him angry or want to give up on you.  On the contrary, it attracts His mighty power so that it can flow into your heart when you yield yourself to Him.  Never forget that when you are at your weakest He will saturate you with His power!!! Don’t go to the world for sustenance instead be still and know that He is God. Rest in Him… Yield up everything to Him, for it is when we are still and trusting in Him that He can become our Light, Salvation and Strength to bring us through the hardest times in our lives, so that we can be a blessing to others.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day... January 11, 2016...

We try to sympathize with the writer John as he attempts to describe heavenly creatures in human terms in the book of Revelation. He knew and we know that it was impossible for God to fully reveal Himself and the heavenly glories to a man. John tries to describe for us the four "living creatures" in Revelation 4. The first was like a lion; the second was like an ox; the third had the face of a man; the fourth was like a soaring eagle.

Did you know that for centuries Christians have seen those same "faces" in the four gospels of the New Testament? God has put Jesus Christ's picture everywhere! Matthew's is the gospel of the King. Mark's, the gospel of the suffering Servant. Luke's, the gospel of the Son of Man. John's, the gospel of the Son of God. Four loving, adoring, worshiping beings, faithfully and forever devoted to praising God! Make no mistake about it: the imagery is plainly the gospel of Christ. He is what Christianity is all about!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

Tonight I pray that you will go to the Lord for understanding and that He will give you divine strategies so that you can walk in discernment, wisdom and understanding!!  That every spirit of deception would be unveiled and revealed in the name of Jesus! I pray that you realize that He is with you like a safety net, nothing is hidden from HIS sight.  That He will walk with you. Loving you, protecting you and showing you that even through all of the ups and downs in this world we never have to face them alone.  That His Presence in our lives will limit what can happen to us. The Holy Spirit is The Helper. He can lift us out of even the darkest mire and back into the light of HIS great love!!! The Holy Spirit is given to us to confirm that we belong to God.  Stand on that faith and walk in His Word, Will and Way for your life.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love you all… God bless you!!! ♥♥♥
