GOD'S OVERCOMERS

I insist that if we are burdened with genuine concern, we have the responsibility of examining the true spiritual condition of men and women within the church's ranks.

We do live in a time of soft, easy Christianity. It is an era marked by a polite "nibbling" around the edges of the Word of God. There is a mindset within present day Christianity that supposes one should get into trouble or suffer embarrassment for Christ's sake!

My brethren, what does it mean to be loyal to Jesus Christ? To confess that Jesus Himself is more important to us than anything else in the world?

Many find it hard to understand how large numbers of Christian believers could have died for their faith in our own generation! With a sense of distant admiration, we call them simple-hearted nationals. God calls them overcomers!

Professing Christians in our North American churches can hardly comprehend so costly a price for the faith we take for granted. Material prosperity and popular acceptance have sapped the vitality of our Christian witness!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night...

Tonight I Pray that you learn to rest in the Presence of the Lord.  In this world where there are so many distractions that clamor for your attention. I pray you seek out His will for your life so that He can direct your steps. The Lord does His best work when we are spending time in His Presence.  Nothing should be more important than your time with Him. For it is when we entrust our concerns to the Lord that He will lighten our load and take them into His care and keeping.  I pray that as you spend time with Him, that He will renew your mind, body and spirit.  I pray that He fills you to overflowing with His Holy Spirit!!!  Be still and know that He is God, for as you wait in His Presence you will receive a most precious gift; His Perfect Peace!!!  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen….  I Love You All!!!  God Bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Steering by Gods Compass

Put this down as an unfailing rule: Never seek the leading of the Lord concerning an act that is forbidden in the Word of God. To do so is to convict ourselves of insincerity. Again, prophet, psalmist, apostle and our blessed Lord Himself join to point out the way of positive obedience.
His yoke is easy, His burden is light and He giveth more grace, so let this be the second rule: Never seek the leading of the Lord concerning an act that has been commanded in the Scriptures. Now, a happy truth too often overlooked in our anxious search for the will of God is that in the majority of decisions touching our earthly lives God expresses no choice, but leaves everything to our own preference.

Some Christians walk under a cloud of uncertainty, worrying about which profession they should enter, which car they should drive, which school they should attend, where they should live and a dozen or score of other such matters, when their Lord has set them free to follow their own personal bent, guided only by their love for Him and for their fellow men.

On the surface it appears more spiritual to seek Gods leading than just to go ahead and do the obvious thing. But it is not. If God gave you a watch would you honor Him more by asking Him for the time of or by consulting the watch?

If God gave a sailor a compass would the sailor please God more by kneeling in a frenzy of prayer to persuade God to show him which way to go or by steering according to the compass?

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night...

Tonight I Pray, that you find your freedom as you seek to please Jesus above everyone else.  When you let other people’s expectations drive you, it will scatter your energy to the winds and drain the energy within you.  I pray that you rejoice in the Lord always and realize that it is a moment to moment choice that each one of us must make. I pray that you realize that the Lord is always near you and HE is always available to help you no matter what you are going through.  That when you abide in HIM and HE in you, your soul will be satisfied and your joy complete!!  I pray that the soul satisfaction that you find in HIM will help you to relate better to other people.  I pray that the light of HIS great love will shine from you and bless others with gentleness and love.  In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!! ♥♥♥

GOD'S PLACE AS CREATOR

We make a mistake if we do not learn to admire God in all things, great and small; for a new rich mine would be opened in our consciousness if we could learn to recognize God in nature as well as in grace!

We do acknowledge that the God of nature is also the God of grace; and it is true that we glorify God's redeeming grace no less when we glorify His creating and sustaining power. When Christ came to redeem us, He stepped into the framework of an already existent nature. If we will obey and believe, we can go on pushing back the narrow borders of our spiritual world until it takes in the whole creation of God!

At one time, the English merchant and renowned poet, William Blake, stood watching the sun come up out of the sea. The bright yellow disk of the sun emerged, gliding the water and painting the sky with a thousand colors. "Ah! I see gold!" the merchant said. Blake answered, "I see the glory of God! And I hear a multitude of the heavenly host crying, 'The whole earth is full of His glory.'"

TONIGHT I pray that You do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.  This is what the Lord asks us to do every day in His Word.  I pray that you come to the Lord for understanding because He knows you better than you know yourself. He knows what you are feeling, and what you are thinking.  There is not one part of you that is hidden from HIS view. Yet, many of us have a hard time being obedient to His Word.  Stop trying to be good enough for His love. Don’t allow your fallen body and mind lead you away from what the Lord has planned for you!!  I pray that every time you begin to worry about tomorrow, you will focus your thoughts on the Lord.  Come into His Presence where you can delight in His unmerited Love. Set a Prisoner Free
Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.  —Romans 12:17

We have all been hurt at one time or another in our lives. Someone may have wronged us, mistreated us, or slandered us. We didn't deserve it; we were innocent. So we think, I will never forgive them.

We need to forgive them. Even if we don't want to, we need to. Why? Because Bible commands us to forgive. Ephesians 4:32 says, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." And Colossians 3:13 tells us, "Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do."

In what we call the Lord's Prayer, Jesus taught, "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:9–12).

And think about this for a moment: we need to forgive for our own sake. Why? Because it tears us up inside. It also turns us into mean, bitter people who are no fun to hang around. All we want to do is talk about what happened to us and how these people hurt us. It is changes us for the worse. We need to forgive.

When you forgive someone, you set a prisoner free: yourself. Forgiven people need to be forgiving people. And if you are not willing to forgive someone else, then I have to wonder whether you understand what God has done for you.

We don't deserve forgiveness. Yet God, in His mercy, forgave all our sins. And there is no greater example of forgiveness than Christ himself hanging on the cross.

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

Tonight I pray that you rejoice in the midst of your difficulties realizing that Jesus is right there with you never leaving your side!!!  I pray that as you hold tightly to His hand you will realize that He designed you to live in a perfect union with Him.  Your union with Jesus does not take away from who you are; it actually makes you more fully yourself.  I pray that as we move closer to the Rapture of the church, we will look to Jesus for everything in our lives.  He will guide you and enable you to cope with any circumstances and give you HIS strength so that you will make it through any problems through trusting in HIM!!!  I pray that you find fulfillment through living close to Jesus.  That as you follow Him and yield to His guidance you will be transformed into the person that He designed you to become. While you worship Him in all things the warm light of hope will come alive within you!!!   Stand on that hope in Him!!! In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen and Amen!!!  I Love You all!!!  God Bless You!!!

Word of the Day... September 25, 2015....

Body Health Depends On Body Member Health

First, they misunderstand the nature of Christian faith. . . .

Second, they misunderstand the nature of the church. . . .

Third, they misunderstand what is wrong with them.

You cannot cure a weak member by prescribing a certain diet. You can eat caviar and hummingbird tongue until the sun goes down, but it will not help you, because that is not what is wrong with you. Somebody else says, "Let's take a trip." Take your trip--it is all right. Try not to get killed on the way. But remember, that is not what is wrong with you.

Somebody else says, "Let's start a committee to handle it." The lack of a committee is not what is wrong with you, either. You are missing the nature of true Christian faith, for true Christianity is inward, and what is wrong cannot be reached by these external means. Now suppose we are ready to admit that we are in a rut. You say, "Well, what is the church doing?" I don't know, because it is the individual that matters. You see, the church is composed of this fellow that lives out here a little way and those two people who live out there in Scarboro and the five who live in Rexdale and the seven who live up in Willowdale and the 14 who live out east. That is the church.

What the church does is what the individuals do. How well or how sick the church is depends on how well or how sick the individuals are. In other words, it depends upon how you are. We must come to the Lord and say, "Oh, Lord, what do I still lack? I have some things, Lord, but what do I lack? Or what is it that I ought to get rid of? How do I compare with what I should be? How do I know what I should be?"

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

Tonight I Pray that you have the desire to seek out the Lord and delight in spending time with Him!  Realize like Mary did that there is great importance in just sitting at the feet of Jesus. When we wait upon Him, He will lead us where He wants us to be.  I pray that you know that you have the Creator of the universe as your Lord and He loves you! What more could you need?  I pray that you realize that it is when you are not connecting with Him at a deep level that you have a lack in your life and walk with Him.  Our part in this life is to learn to put all of our trust into Him, refusing to worry about anything! I pray that you will forget what is behind you and press on to what is ahead the prize which God has called us heavenward in Jesus Christ!!!  Walk In that LIGHT!!!  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

The Director of Our Way

Among the many wonders of the Holy Scriptures is their ability frequently to compress into a sentence truth so vast, so complex, as to require a whole shelf of books to expound.

Even a single phrase may glow with a light like that of the ancient pillar of fire and its shining may illuminate the intellectual landscape for miles around. An example is found in Jeremiah 10:23. After the Lord had spoken of the vanity of idols and had set in contrast to the gods of the heathen the glory of the living God, the King of Eternity, the prophet responded in an inspired exclamation that very well states the whole problem of humankind: O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. The prophet here turns to a figure of speech, one which appears in the Scriptures so frequently that it is not easy to remember that it is but a figure.

Man is seen as a traveler making his difficult way from a past he can but imperfectly recollect into a future about which he knows nothing. And he cannot stay, but must each morning strike his moving tent and journey on toward-and there is the heavy problem-toward what?

After Winter the Eternal Tomorrow

To the man out of Christ, the fall of the year, in spite of its many charms, must surely bring with it a deep and hidden terror. For it speaks of the approaching end, the time when it may be said, ?The summer is ended, and we are not saved.? It would be good indeed if the autumn winds could preach to the lost soul of the brevity of life and the long winter ahead.

The true Christian will not be saddened by the winds that herald the approach of winter. Like the wise ant he has made his preparation, and while the gusty tempest howls over him, he will sleep sweet in Christ while the circle of the heavens moves on toward the consummation of all things of which Moses and the prophets have spoken.

Happy man who knows that everything is well with him and that he will be among the blessed in that day when the breath of Jesus, like a breeze of spring, shall stir the sleeping dead to life again after the long night. I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

Tonight I pray that you come to the Lord for understanding.  Take it just one day at a time and trust in Him so that you can grow closer to Him. I pray that you realize that He knows you better than you know yourself and there is not one part of your life that is hidden from Him.  You are so fortunate that He looks at you with the eyes of Grace and He loves you, so don’t be afraid.  Allow His healing light to shine into the deepest part of you.  He will cleanse you from your sin, refreshing your spirit and renewing your soul. I pray that you trust Him enough to know that He will forgive you and He will never leave you or forsake you.  As you go out in the world daily, it can be very cold and harsh and sometimes it seems that there is no one that understands you or cares.  I pray that when you feel like this that you draw close to Jesus.  Whisper His name and allow the warmth of the Holy Spirit to fill you to overflowing so that you can become His reservoir of love that will overflow into the lives of others.  In Jesus Name I pray, Amen and Amen….  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!!

Being About the Lord's Business

Nehemiah, the good, rose up from his weeping to do something about a vision God had laid on his heart. Under divine providence, he was soon transported from Shushan to his beloved city, Jerusalem, armed with authority and equipped with materials to rebuild the ruined city. . . .

The first device of the "enemy," upon hearing of the undertaking, was to heap ridicule on the whole plan. Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem laughed Nehemiah and his helpers to scorn. Undeterred, Nehemiah replied with firm assurance, "The God of heaven, he will prosper us." And the work went on according to plan.

After all other means had failed to hinder the reconstruction, the conspirators tried to arrange for a conference with Nehemiah. The man of God saw in this an evil purpose to do him mischief and divert him from his monumental work. His reply to the would-be mischief-makers is classic, and might well be adopted for the all-time stock reply to all such overtures: "I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?" (Nehemiah 6:3).

The great task to which God had called Nehemiah was so important that every other consideration must be waived. Would that we might have such an overpowering sense of being about our Father's business and be so impressed with the grandeur of our task that we would reject every suggestion of the evil one that would bid us take up some lesser pursuit. Let us rout him with the words that date back to 445 B.C., and which cannot be improved upon: "I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down."   I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

TONIGHT I PRAY that you refuse to worry! In this world there'll always be something enticing you to worry. That is the nature of this fallen world that we live in. Things are not as they should be. So the temptation to be anxious is constantly with you, trying to worm its way into your mind. I pray you realize the best defense is continual communication with the Lord, richly seasoned with Thanksgiving. I pray that you stay aware of HIS PRESENCE, allowing Him to fill your mind with His Light and Peace, leaving no room for fear. I pray this awareness lifts you above your circumstances, enabling you to see problems from HIS perspective. For when you do this with HIM you can keep the wolves of worry at bay.  I pray that you never forget WHO lives within you. He can bring order to your day and help you to control your thoughts and actions.  You only need to make the choice of how much of Him you want in your day…   In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day... September 21, 2015...

Our Model Intercessor

Two other considerations may help us here. One is that our Lord did on at least one occasion pray for sinners. "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing," was a request made to God on behalf of evil men. Is it not reasonable that if Christ prayed for sinners once, He may be expected to pray for them again? Also we must remember that Jesus was a Son of man and frequently referred to Himself by that title. As such, He had and has a relationship to the whole human race. Is it thinkable that He would not pray for the race to which He belonged?

I realize that we are on holy ground right here, and common modesty would urge us to withhold any dogmatic judgments. But I believe that the question, Does our Lord pray for the unsaved? may be answered truthfully as follows: (1) As High Priest of His own redeemed people, Christ prays an efficacious prayer of intercession which avails only for those who trust Him as their Redeemer and Lord. This prayer is found in essence in John 17. (2) As Son of man and Savior, He prays for the lost world as well. Unless His prayers for the world were ascending to heaven, the judgment of God would not be withheld for a moment from the earth.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

Tonight I pray that Jesus comfort and guide you through your days and nights.  Do not let the trappings of this sinful world lead you into a life of bitterness, greed and jealousy.  Instead, keep your eyes on God and His wonders and mercies that endure forever. Remember that you are saved by His grace, by His blood and that is a gift that none of us deserved but were given anyway.  God’s riches at Christ expense has nothing to do with living your best life now or being rich in this world.  God’s riches exist in the pure agape love He has for each and every one of us.  Do not worry about the riches of this world, instead do as God calls us to do and store up your treasures in heaven!  Bitterness and greed sow seeds of hate and spite.  It will rot you from the inside out.  I pray that you realize that HIS ways are better than ours and stop trying to figure out what is happening and simply trust in Him and thank Him in advance for all of the good that will come out of it in the end.  For He knows the plans He has for you and they are good.  In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen and Amen….  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!!  ♥♥

Bond, James Bond
"God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important."
—1 Corinthians 1:28

A 1964 Aston Martin sold a little while back.

It has a 282 horsepower engine and can go 145 miles per hour. The price? 4.6 million dollars!

Why so much? It was the car that James Bond drove in the films "Goldfinger" and "Thunderball." It has some unusual options: guns that poke through the taillights, a license plate that rotates, and best of all, an ejector seat on the passenger side! Of course, none of those features actually work.

So why so much money for the car? Because James Bond, or more specifically Sean Connery, drove it in those classic films. You see, the value is not so much in the car itself, but in the one who used it.

The same goes for you. Your "value" in God's eyes has nothing to do with your own merit, or talents, or resources. Your worth comes from the fact that Jesus Christ is living inside you, which makes you infinitely more valuable than an Aston Martin!

An honest assessment of the 12 men that Jesus called to be His disciples shows us that they were far from perfect. In fact, they had many flaws—just like you and me. That is not to say these were not dedicated, gifted men. But Jesus did not call them because they were great; rather their "greatness" was the result of the call of Jesus.

In 1 Corinthians 1:26–28, Paul reminds us, "Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don't see many of 'the brightest and the best' among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn't it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these 'nobodies' to expose the hollow pretensions of the 'somebodies'?" (MSG).

The disciples' greatness was not because of who they were as individuals; it was because of the One who called and used them.

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

TONIGHT I PRAY that you will rejoice and be thankful to the Lord for all that He has blessed you with!!! That you never put the love of money or earthly treasures above Him, instead store up your treasures in heaven. To have an authentic walk with God so that you will do what is Godly instead of what is evil. That as you walk with the Lord through this day, practice trusting and thanking Him all along the way. For it is when we trust in Him that His peace will flow into us. Thankfulness lifts you up above your circumstances. I pray you realize that He does His greatest works through people with grateful, trusting hearts. Rather than planning and evaluating, practice trusting and thanking the Lord continually. I pray that as you rest in the Lord Jesus, a shift will take place that will revolutionize your life. Walk in that faith! Walk in that trust!!! In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen. I love you all! God bless your sweet hearts!!!!♥♥

The Quiet Call of Christ

It is like the Lord to fasten a world upon nothing, and make it stay in place. Here He takes that wonderful, mysterious microcosm we call the human soul and makes its future weal or woe to rest upon a single word--if. If any man, He says, and teaches at once the universal inclusiveness of His invitation, and the freedom of the human will. Everyone may come; no one need come, and whoever does come, comes because he chooses to. Every man holds his future in his hand. Not the dominant world leader only, but the inarticulate man lost in anonymity is a man of destiny. He decides which way his soul shall go. He chooses, and destiny waits on the nod of his head. He decides, and hell enlarges herself, or heaven prepares another mansion. So much of Himself has God given to men. There is a strange beauty in the ways of God with men. He sends salvation to the world in the person of a Man and sends that Man to walk the busy ways saying, If any man will come after me. No drama, no fa nfare, no tramp of marching feet or tumult of shouting. A kindly Stranger walks through the earth, and so quiet is His voice that it is sometimes lost in the hurly-burly; but it is the last voice of God, and until we become quiet to hear it we have no authentic message. He bears good tidings from afar but He compels no man to listen. If any man will, He says, and passes on. Friendly, courteous, unobtrusive, He yet bears the signet of the King. His word is divine authority, His eyes a tribunal, His face a last judgment.

Meaningless Words

At the risk of shocking some tender-minded persons, I venture to list here a few words and phrases that to millions of evangelical Christians have no longer an identifiable content and are used merely as religious sounds without any relation to reality. They have meaning, and they are good and sacred words, but they have no meaning as used by the speaker and as heard by the listener in the average religious gathering. Here they are: victory, heart and life, all out for God, to the glory of God, receive a blessing, conviction, faith, revival, consecration, the fullness of God, by the grace of God, on fire for God, born again, filled with the Spirit, hallelujah, accept Christ, the will of God, joy and peace, following the Lord--and there are scores of others.

We have reared a temple of religious words comfortably disassociated from reality. And we will soon stand before that just and gentle Monarch who told us that we should give an account of every idle word. God have mercy on us.

Word of the Day... September 17, 2015....

TOO LATE

John, in the sixth of Revelation, describes the most tragic, unavailing prayer meeting in the world's history! Cries and groans, shouts and demands, moans and whisper - all will be heard in that coming Day of the Lord when the forces of judgment are released. Even the mountains and the islands will be removed from their places. But by then, the prayers and cries of sinful men and women will be too little and too late! All of the great men of the earth, all the important people, all who have mistakenly put their trust and hope in purely human abilities will join those crying out in guilt. They will call on the crumbling rocks and mountains to fall on them to hide them from the wrath of God. I am among those who believe that the judgments of God are certain. We do not know the day nor the hour. But God is indeed going to shake the earth as it has never been shaken before, and He will turn it over to the Worthy One to whom it belongs - Jesus Christ!

"NOW IT IS THE LORD"

Is it possible to become so enamored of God's good gifts that we fail to worship Him, the Giver? Dr. Albert B. Simpson, the founder of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, invited to preach in a Bible conference in England discovered on his arrival that he was to follow two other Bible teachers. All three had been given the same topic, "Sanctification." From the pulpit, the first speaker made clear his position that sanctification means eradication-the old carnal nature is removed. The second, a suppressionist, advised: "Sit on the lid and keep the old nature down!" Dr. Simpson in his turn quietly told his audience that he could only present Jesus Christ Himself as God's answer. "Jesus Christ is your Sanctifier, your all and in all! God wants you to get your eyes away from the gifts. He wants your gaze to be on the Giver-Christ Himself," he said. This is a wonderful word for those who would worship rightly: Once it was the blessing; Now it is the Lord!

Meant for Good
"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."
—Genesis 50:20

Aren't you glad the word oops is not in God's vocabulary? God is sovereign, which simply means that God is in control. He doesn't make mistakes. He does what He wants when He wants with whom He wants in any way He wants.

That could be a little frightening if we didn't know that God is also good. The things that He allows into our lives are for our benefit and for the benefit of others.

Joseph understood that. And one cannot read the story of Joseph without thinking of Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." All things work together—not just the so-called good things. Joseph summed that up in his way when he told his brothers who had betrayed him, "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive" (Genesis 50:20).

As you get a little bit older, some of the things you thought were good may end up being bad, and some of the things you thought were bad may end up being good. And then, sometimes good things are just good things and bad things are bad things.

God helps us sort it all out. And with the passing of time, you look at things a little more objectively and a little bit differently. There are things that God allows in life that don't make sense. But I believe that ultimately in my life, all things will work together for good. That may not be fully realized until I get to heaven. But until then, I am willing to live by that promise.

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…..

TONIGHT I PRAY THAT as you come to the Lord with all of your weaknesses both physical and spiritual, that you will be able to rest in the comfort of HIS Presence. Knowing that in your heart that nothing is impossible with Jesus!!!  I pray that you turn your mind away from your own problems, so you can totally depend on Jesus to meet all of your needs, both  Spiritual and physical. For when you release every part of your life to Him it is even more spectacular than you can even imagine!!!  Instead of trying to direct HIM to do things, stop trying to control everything so that you will be able to experience HIS Peace. Look and see what the Lord is already doing in your life. When the anxiety attempts to wedge its way into your thoughts, remind yourself that the Lord is your Shepherd.  He is taking care of you. Therefore there is nothing you should be afraid of. That the safest place for you to be is in HIS will, Word and Way for your life…   Walk in that Light, and faith!!! In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen.  I love you all!!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥

From Kneeling to Standing
And Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?"   —Genesis 41:38

One moment Joseph was in prison, and the next moment he found himself standing before Pharaoh. You might think that Joseph would have been very careful with his words. But when Pharaoh called him in to interpret his dream, Joseph told the ruler, "It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace" (Genesis 41:16).

I think Pharaoh must have been immediately impressed with Joseph. Who is this guy? He's not bowing and scraping before me. This guy has conviction. I like him. He had never met anyone like Joseph.

Joseph wasn't ashamed to tell Pharaoh the truth. He spoke boldly to him. And Joseph's example is good to remember when we're sharing the gospel. Sometimes we want to edit out the parts we are uncomfortable with. We love to share the life-changing message of who Jesus is. We like to tell people that if they will turn from their sin, He will forgive them, and they will have a peace that passes understanding, a wonderful joy, and the hope of heaven.

But we also need to tell them that if they don't believe in Jesus, they will be separated from God for all eternity in a place called hell. I am not saying that we should only preach messages about hell. But I am saying that if we neglect to mention it, we are changing the essential message of the gospel.

When Elijah walked into the court of wicked King Ahab, he said, "As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word" (1 Kings 17:1, emphasis added). Then he walked out. Where did Elijah get courage like that? From God.

If you kneel before God, you can stand before any man.

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…..

I Pray TONIGHT that you place all of your trust in Jesus.  Listen as He softly announces HIS Presence to you.  His shimmering radiance taps gently at your consciousness, seeking entrance.  That even through His great power that rules all of heaven and earth, you will feel His gentleness.  I Pray that as you put all of your hope in Him that you will be protected from self- pity and depression.  Hope in Him is like a golden cord that will connect you to heaven.  The more you cling to this cord, the more our Lord will bear your burdens; in doing so He will lighten your load.  He wants you to cast all of your cares on Him for He truly cares for you.  Cling to hope and His rays of light will reach out to you through the darkness and touch you.  When He does He will change your life forever. Praise His holy name and thank the Lord as He fills with His marvelous joy!!! In Jesus name we pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!!♥♥♥

“And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, ‘Who can this be that even the wind and the sea obey Him!’”  Mark 4:41

Many years ago while traveling in Jerusalem, we encountered the most severe dust storm recorded in twenty-two years. As the evening settled in and we went to our beds, we could hear the wind whistling outside our hotel. The next day brought thunder and lightening. As morning arrived, we woke to a snow-covered Jerusalem! From our room we viewed the Temple Mount and the surrounding hills blanketed with a beautiful covering of white. Palm trees were flocked by the winter blast and big oranges hanging from trees were topped with what looked like white frosting on a cake.

The city was excited to see the sight and people in our hotel rejoiced at the unexpected change. “It’s like having a holiday – a day of rest!”  they exclaimed.

We can learn something from this. Some people always seem to be fretting and fuming. They appear to have been born in stormy weather. They’re perpetually agitated in mind so that they cannot sit back and rest. Just the other day I overheard someone complaining about our rainy season. I thought, dear friend, we shouldn’t complain about the rain. It is God’s blessing to a thirsty earth. We should rather give thanks to God for what comes from His hand. Do you think for a moment that you could manage the weather better than He does? Without the storms, the air would be stagnate and unhealthy. So let’s commit to resting in Him, even in the midst of the unexpected!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…..

Tonight I Pray that you realize that we can come to the Lord with a thankful heart even in the midst of tribulation and sorrow.  That we can face our trials with a power that others do not have…  The power of the Lord God!!! I pray that as we face those oncoming storms that we lean closer into Him so that He can help us to navigate our way through the storm. For it is when we put our trust in Him, we have the assurance that He will help us to endure the trial before us and discern His purpose for it so that we can grow into a more intimate walk with Him.  I pray that each of us can be like the eagle who has the ability to lock its joints and soar effortlessly on the updraft, instead of flapping his wings.  I pray that as we wait upon the Lord, that He will help us to use the winds of adversity to soar above our problems.  After all, God promises “Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; and mount up with wings like eagles” In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love you all!!!  God bless You!!! ♥♥♥

“For whom the LORD loves, He chastens and scourges every son whom He receives.”  Hebrews 12:6

Content is the child who understands this verse. Loving discipline is required if a child is to grow up responsible. The Lord has His ways of correcting those who are His. Even the most committed saint will err and when God’s Word is not heeded, the Lord will use harsher means.

Christian, if you find yourself under His rod of correction, rejoice, for your salvation is certain! Always remember that God’s love is not weak and vulnerable to change as ours is. Discipline is right to do and good to receive as long as love is driving the rod of correction. Know that with the Lord this is always so. I have come to rest in the Lord’s chastening, for by it I am reminded of His everlasting love for me and His commitment to be Abba, my Father.

He has made us glad The Joy of the Lord is our strength!!! I pray when no one seems to understand you that you draw closer to the HIM the One who loves you completely and perfectly.  As He fills you with His great love I pray that you allow it to overflow from you into the lives of others.  I pray that you walk in the light of His love forever!!!  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen.  I Love you all… God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day... September 11, 2015...

“But Abram said to the king of Sodom, ‘I have raised my hand to the LORD, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth, that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich…'”
Genesis 14:22-24

Abram, rather Abraham, was a man of integrity. But how is integrity gotten? How does a man learn what is the right thing to do? Much can be taught in the home, but some things can only be learned by experience. Abraham learned to lean upon the reality of God rather than the immediate rewards of man.

We would all do well, both within our homes and in the church, if we were to rely more upon God than on what man can provide. It is much too easy for us to depend upon external things, things that can be seen and touched. Yet, the things that are seen are things that in time will vanish away. That which is physical must eventually yield to time, and thus return to the dust. Abraham became a man of faith who lived out his life before God and man. His integrity was established because he believed that God was personal and could be known experientially. May we all draw closer to God in our daily lives and may we all learn to rely upon Him, rather than on the offerings of men.

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

Tonight I Pray that you take everything to the Lord in prayer.  He is working on our behalf and truly cares about our concerns.  He is a Lord that counts our tears and that is just how much He truly loves us.  I pray that you feel the warmth and security of Him taking care of you on this night. I pray that you put all of your trust in Him and I pray that you get a real hunger for His Word so that you will grow into a more intimate walk with Him.  I pray that you stop trying to do things under your own power and release every part of your life to Him.   For it is when you give everything to the Lord you are released to fall back into the security of His everlasting arms.  Stand on that faith in the Lord and allow Him to teach you His ways.  For when you take the time to search Him out through prayer and His Word He will be found by you and there is no greater treasure than that!!! In Jesus name I Pray, Amen and Amen…  I love You All!!!  God Bless You!!!

He Is- My Rock
To you, Lord, I call;
    you are my Rock,
do not turn a deaf ear to me.
For if you remain silent,
I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Psalms 28:1

In a time when he felt crushed by opposition within his kingdom, David turned to the Lord, begging God to save him. David called God “my Rock.” This powerful image suggests that God is both strong and immovable.

Because God is your rock, you will not be shaken. His stability becomes your stability. His strength, your strength. His steadiness, your steadiness. When you feel overwhelmed by problems or people in your life, follow David’s lead and cry out to God, your rock. He will not turn a deaf ear to you but will hear your prayer and be your strength.

The Blessedness of Obedience

It will take more than talk and prayer to bring revival. There must be a return to the Lord in practice before our prayers will be heard in heaven. We dare not continue to trouble God's way if we want Him to bless ours. Joshua sent his army up to conquer Ai, only to see them hurled back with bloody losses. He threw himself to the ground on his face before the Ark and complained to the Lord. The LORD said to Joshua, "Stand up! What are you doing down on your face? Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant . . . That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies . . . because they have been made liable to destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction" (Joshua 7:10-12).

If we are foolish enough to do it, we may spend the new year vainly begging God to send revival, while we blindly overlook His requirements and continue to break His laws. Or we can begin now to obey and learn the blessedness of obedience. The Word of God is before us. We have only to read and do what is written there and revival is assured. It will come as naturally as the harvest comes after the plowing and the planting.

Yes, this could be the year the revival comes. It's strictly up to us.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

Tonight I Pray that you realize that we serve a Mighty God and nothing is too difficult for Him!! He has chosen to use the weak so that He can accomplish His purposes. Your weakness is designed by the Lord to open you up to His power. Do not fear your limitations and never allow fear to block the flow of His Strength into you. Instead of trying to fight your fears, concentrate on putting all of your trust into HIM. When you relate to Him in confident trust, there is no limit to how much He will strengthen you.   He is your Helper the One who will teach you to pray and give you a mighty hunger for His Word!!! Stand on that Faith and trust in Him every day and He will make your paths straight.  In Jesus name I Pray, Amen and Amen.  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!! ♥♥♥

Prophetic Preaching

If Christianity is to receive a rejuvenation, it must be by other means than any now being used. If the Church in the second half of this century is to recover from the injuries she suffered in the first half, there must appear a new type of preacher. The proper, ruler-of-the-synagogue type will never do. Neither will the priestly type of man who carries out his duties, takes his pay and asks no questions, nor the smooth-talking pastoral type who knows how to make the Christian religion acceptable to everyone. All these have been tried and found wanting.

Another kind of religious leader must arise among us. He must be of the old prophet type, a man who has seen visions of God and has heard a voice from the Throne. When he comes (and I pray God there will be not one but many), he will stand in flat contradiction to everything our smirking, smooth civilization holds dear. He will contradict, denounce and protest in the name of God and will earn the hatred and opposition of a large segment of Christendom. Such a man is likely to be lean, rugged, blunt-spoken and a little bit angry with the world. He will love Christ and the souls of men to the point of willingness to die for the glory of the One and the salvation of the other. But he will fear nothing that breathes with mortal breath.

This is only to say that we need to have the gifts of the Spirit restored again to the Church. And it is my belief that the one gift we need most now is the gift of prophecy.
