I pray that you do not allow other people to lead you away from putting Him first in every area of your life.  As this can cause you to slip and fall and then you can become weary.  Lean on Him for support and all will be right in your world.    I Pray that you put all of your trust in the Lord and walk in the light of His love every day of your life!!! In Jesus name I Pray, Amen and Amen. I love you all!!! …. God bless you!!!

Word of the Day... February 28, 2015...

Because Your lovingkindness
is better than life,
my lips will praise You.
Psalm 63:3

Lately the Lord has been trying to teach me how to rest in Him and praise Him in all situations. To stay deeply in love with Him through praise and worship.  I think it is a vitally important  part of our worship that many people sometimes neglect.  In any intimate relationship we need to spend time with the one we love.  If we don’t, we will drift apart until we feel like we no longer even know each.  Let alone be madly deeply in love.

So how do we stay in love with Jesus?  We get to know Him through spending time with Him every day in His Word and by praise and prayer.  The first thing I like to do each morning is to tell the Lord that I love Him with all of my heart.  Most of us have been in love with someone during our lifetime.  Try and remember what it was that made your heart beat faster.  I can remember my husband praising my beauty.  He would tell me that he loved my eyes and that I smelled really good. That I was a great cook and a wonderful mother. Those are little things I know but, when the man that you love tells you those things it just makes the earth move under my feet.  I would just feel so precious and loved.  When he would praise me I would do anything to make him happy.

Praise came naturally to us because we wanted to make each other happy. It was a genuine, stimulating part of romance. That is how we need to treat the Lord Jesus.  We praise Him through expressing words that would honor Him for His character, His name and His great power. The list just goes on and on there are so many things we can praise for.   I think that the Lord appreciates it when we in our human way take the time to praise the Lord.  To adore Him, to love Him and to praise Him.

I think it is a very important  part of our prayer life.  Adoration that is directed directly to  the Lord God.  I think as we step out in faith and just praise Him, it will begin to flow from us.  The more we praise Him the closer we will get to Him and I believe the Lord will bless us for it.

So before you go out into the world where sometimes you are not treated as someone who is treasured and precious.  Spend a little bit of time in the morning talking to our Father.  Hold tightly to His hand all through the day.  Whisper His name at different times in your day.  Simply whisper, Jesus I love you…  I think when you make a habit of this, you will find that each day will be Simply Heavenly!!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…..

Tonight I Pray as you close your eyes in sweet repose, that the Holy Spirit will keep a watch over you as you rest.  I pray that He guard your heart and mind while you sleep.  I pray that your mind will focus on His Words as you learn to rest in Him; I pray that you think on these things as you sleep;  whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is good…  I Pray that as you sleep the Holy Spirit will grant you His peace so you can relax in His everlasting arms. I pray that you awaken refreshed and ready to start your day with a thankful heart realizing that when you are truly thankful your visits with Jesus can be more intimate and fill you with gladness!!!  I pray that you realize that that we were made for this.   In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God bless you!!!♥♥♥

Beauty for Ashes
To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. —Isaiah 61:3

I have been amazed at the testimonies of some people when they tell me the way they used to be. I've looked at them and thought, There is no way they used to be that way. Jesus Christ has so radically changed them.

Isaiah 61:3-4 promises that God "will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory. They will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities destroyed long ago" (NLT).

For the person who has made a mess of his or her life—a pile of ashes, so to speak—God says, "I will bring beauty." For those who mourn because of the wrongs they have done and the sins they have committed, God says, "I will bring joy out of it."

Only God can take a tangled mess of a life, turn it around, and transform it in such a way that you wouldn't even know that individual used to be a very different person. Not only that, but such a transformation gives hope to others who may still despair over the condition of their lives.

If you come to Christ and say, "Lord, here I am. Forgive me of my sin," He can transform you and change you. He can take your mistakes and your sins, turn them around, and even use them for His glory. When you commit your life to Christ, putting the broken, stained, twisted pieces into His hand, He will transform it into a thing of beauty.  I loved this devotional today and learned so much!!!  I hope you have a Simply Heavenly day!!!

Be Ready for the Lord’s Coming
35 “Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning, 36 as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks. 37 The servants who are ready and waiting for his return will be rewarded. I tell you the truth, he himself will seat them, put on an apron, and serve them as they sit and eat! 38 He may come in the middle of the night or just before dawn. But whenever he comes, he will reward the servants who are ready. Luke 12:35-38

So what are we supposed to be doing until the Lord comes back?  There are several things, according to Luke chapter 12.

We are to be watching for him. This doesn't mean that were to be standing around like idiots staring into the sky. To watch simply means to be alert and aware. For instance, when I am reading the newspapers or watching the news on television, I am always looking for the signs of the times. I'm not just looking for another conflict in the Middle East or another economic meltdown in Europe or noting that China is getting stronger every day. I am looking for the things that might point to biblical signs that indicate the day of the Lord's return is near.

We should be ready to go. As the time for the coming of Jesus Christ approaches, each one of us should ask am I ready to go? You don't want to be engaged in some activity that would make you ashamed if Jesus were to suddenly appear.

We should not only be ready for his return but we should anxiously await it. Have you ever dreaded the arrival of somebody coming to your house to visit? Do you remember what it felt like and how you didn't even want to answer the door?  Or have you ever really looked forward to someone's arrival so much that before they even came you would find yourself looking out the window to check for them? Then before they could even knock on the door, you opened it? That is how we should be what we think of the return of Jesus Christ. We should be looking forward with great anticipation and joy not dreading it at all.

We are not only to be waiting, but we also should be working. If watching is evidence of faith, then working is the evidence of faith in action. Watching for the Lord's return will help us prepare for our own lives, but working will ensure that we bring others with us. We should be using these last days to serve the Lord and look for every opportunity to tell people about Jesus. Watching daily for the Lord's return isn’t a miserable way to live; it is a happy joyful purposeful way to live. Have a Simply heavenly day!

You Need a Middleman
by Skip Heitzig

The book of Job is far more important than most people make it out to be. Even though some like to rank it with the classics—like Shakespeare, Homer, and Dante—it's even more important than any of those, because first, it is divinely inspired, and second, the deepest issues of life emerge in this book: we see humanity struggle with divinity. And this book, perhaps more than any other in the Old Testament, reveals our need for Jesus Christ.

In Job 9:32-35, Job cried out for a very particular kind of person, a certain kind of a helper. He said, "For [God] is not a man, as I am, that I may answer Him, and that we should go to court together. Nor is there any mediator between us, who may lay his hand on us both. Let Him take His rod away from me, and do not let dread of Him terrify me. Then I would speak and not fear Him, but it is not so with me."

I want to zero in on the word mediator, or middleman. Why would Job ask for a middleman? Well, he realized there was a great gulf between heaven and earth, between himself and God. At this point in his life, he had lost all of his wealth, prominence, and most of his family; he was brought low. He saw how great, transcendent, powerful, and huge God is and how puny, unimportant, and small he was (see Job 9:5-15). And because of that, he asked for somebody "who may lay his hand on us both" (v. 33). That's what a mediator does: stand between two estranged parties with one hand on each person to bring them together.

We have exactly the same need today. Any thinking person who looks at the universe we live in will come to the rational conclusion that there must be a God. But the next issue that arises is how can we as human beings connect with this transcendent, magnificent God? Do we just choose any religious path or spiritual journey? Who will take us to Him? That's what Job cried out for.

And Job knew there was no one to fix it: "Nor is there any mediator between us" (v. 33). Now, our world is full of would-be mediators. They offer advice, enlightenment, a horoscope reading, a palm reading, or say that they alone interpret the truth the right way, but all of them fall short. Even the priesthood in the Old Testament was flawed, because they were sinners like everybody else. Our sins have caused separation between ourselves and God, and we're all imperfect.

But in stepped Jesus. First Timothy 2:4-6 says that God "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all." The cry was answered; the middleman stepped forward. Jesus Christ, the perfect Mediator, the go-between, laid His hand on God and on us and said, "I'm going to bring you two parties together." This means you don't have to go through angels, saints, or a preacher to get to God; you can go directly to Him through Jesus, who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). He died in your place and now lives to represent you before the Father.

I think the heart cry of every individual is "How can I connect with God?" God put a hole in the soul of everyone (see Ecclesiastes 3:11; Romans 8:20) so that we would cry out and say, "How can I ever contact God? I need a mediator." And that Mediator, that bridge, is Jesus Christ. You must come through the narrow gate of a relationship with the Savior who died for your sins and rose from the grave for your justification. It's the only way. And it's up to each of us to respond to that truth.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

When God Says No
Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had prevented them from preaching the word in the province of Asia at that time. Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed north for the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to go there. So instead, they went on through Mysia to the seaport of Troas.
   —Acts 16:6–8

Sometimes the Lord will step in and say no to even the most loving and carefully considered of our plans. There are many ways, of course, that God can stop or redirect us. Sometimes it's through the warning of a respected friend. Sometimes it might be through a lack of peace in our lives. All of the circumstances might look just fine, but something inside us doesn't feel quite right. We have a lack of peace about it.

We're told in the book of Colossians that we should let the peace of God settle with finality all matters that arise in our minds (see Colossians 3:15). If we're starting to do something or go somewhere and sense a lack of God's blessing on that plan, we need to learn to stop and seek His peace and His desire for our lives.

God also can redirect us through simple circumstances. The car won't start. A particular door won't open. A check won't clear. A flight is delayed. An illness comes. Has it happened to you? You had plans in a certain direction, and God stepped in and said, "No. That isn't what I had in mind for you at this time. I have another plan." You may have wanted to go into the ministry, and instead God called you into business. Or perhaps you had prepared yourself for a career in business, and God called you into ministry! You have wanted to be married, but God called you to be single. Or perhaps you were sure you would be single, but then He dropped someone into your life out of the blue. You may have wanted a large family, but you had a small family—or no children at all.

Sometimes things turn out differently than what we had imagined or planned. Ultimately, however, our lives belong to Him, not to ourselves. And His plans, even when they seem difficult, are the very best plans for this life and the next.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

Tonight I Pray that you get a real hunger for the Word of God so that you won’t be deceived by churches that just want to tickle your ears and not preach the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I pray that as you grow closer to the Lord through His Word that you will be able to have HIS eyes and discern the wolves in sheep’s clothing from genuine shepherds who preach the Word of God.  I pray that as you dwell more in the Word that the Holy Spirit will lead you where He wants you to be, realizing that He goes before you and also beside you, so that you are never alone. I pray that HIS Peace be with you as you rest in Him.  Allow it to settle over you and enfold you in His loving Presence!!!  Jesus love is the same Yesterday , Today and Forever!!!  Walk in the warm light of HIS Great Love!!!  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen!!!  I Love You All!!!  God bless you!!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day... February 23, 2015...

In your light do we see light.    Psalm 36:9

No lips can tell the love of Christ to the heart until Jesus Himself shall speak within. Descriptions all fall flat and feeble unless the Holy Spirit fills them with life and power; until God makes Himself known to us, the soul does not see Him. If you would see the sun, would you gather together the common means of illumination and seek in that way to view its splendor? No; the wise man knows that the sun must reveal itself, and only by its own blaze can that mighty orb be seen. It is the same with Christ. "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah!" He said to Peter. "For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you." Purify flesh and blood by any educational process you may select, elevate mental faculties to the highest degree of intellectual power, yet none of these can reveal Christ.

The Spirit of God must come with power and overshadow the man with His wings, and then in that mystic holy of holies the Lord Jesus must display Himself to the sanctified eye, as He does not to the spiritually blind sons of men. Christ must be His own mirror. The great mass of this dim-sighted world can see nothing of the indescribable glories of Jesus. He stands before them without form or majesty, a root out of a dry ground, rejected by the vain and despised by the proud.

Only where the Spirit has illumined the eye, quickened the heart with divine life, and educated the soul to a heavenly taste, only there is He understood. He is precious to the believer; He is the chief cornerstone, the Rock of your salvation, your all in all; but to others He is "a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense." Happy are those to whom our Lord reveals Himself, for His promise to such is that He will make His home with them.

O Jesus, our Lord, our heart is open; come in, and never leave. Show Yourself to us now! Favor us with a glimpse of Your embracing loveliness. I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

TONIGHT I PRAY that you linger in His Presence for a while each day. So that the Holy Spirit can instruct you in how to rest in Jesus.  I pray that the Holy Spirit shows you that starting your day alone with the Lord Jesus is essential preparation for a successful day.  He will equip you with everything that you need.  He knows what is going to happen to you this day and if you walk with Him you will not grow weary or lose heart.  I pray that as you learn to rest in Jesus that you will grow strong as a Christian.  Just hold tightly to His hand and keep your eyes on Him.  Rest in the Light of His Mighty Presence so your spirit will be filled with the warmth of His great love and let that love just shine through you to everyone that you meet!!!  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day... February 22, 2015...

Step by Step
A person's steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand their own way? . . . In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.
—Proverbs 20:24; 16:9

God is in control of all circumstances that surround my life. Sometimes we may feel we understand these circumstances, but at other times we don't have a clue why certain things happen as they do, and we are mystified. We make our plans. But God always will have His way.

There's nothing wrong with making a plan for tomorrow or for next month or next year. But we must always plan with this proviso: the Lord may change our plans and take us in a completely different direction. It is His prerogative to do so; He, not you, is in control of your life.

Jeremiah 10:23 says, "O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps." And in the book of Proverbs, the writer asks the question: "The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?" (Proverbs
20:24, NLT).

We sometimes call this guiding of our steps "divine providence." Does that mean, then, that bad things never will happen to good and even godly people? No. But it does mean that even when bad things happen, God can bring good out of bad, as Romans 8:28 assures us.

All of God's good promises, however, won't be fully realized until we get to heaven. There are some things we can look at in life and say, "That was a really terrible experience, but now as I look back in retrospect, I can see the good that has come from it." But then there are other things we will experience in life that we never will see good come out of—or at least "good" as we understand it. It won't be until we get to the other side and see the Lord face-to-face that we will understand these things.

Even so, we entrust our lives to His good hands and His great wisdom and praise Him for directing us step by step.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Finish with Joy
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.  —1 Corinthians 9:24

There are some events in the Olympics that don't interest me at all. When it comes to track and field, however, I really sit up and take notice. I love to watch the runners—whether it's relay races, long distance runs, or the short sprints. (Probably because I ran track in high school.)

During a recent Olympics, I was watching one of the long distance events. One of the runners started off back in the pack. Gradually he moved up toward the middle. With about four laps to go, he suddenly broke ahead and took the lead. I thought, Is he going to make it? Could he possibly win? But it wasn't to be. In those last laps he fell back again. The next thing I knew, he was in second place, third place, fourth place, fifth place. He didn't even win a medal.

I know what it's like to be in the last lap of a race. You're giving it your all, but your legs feel like rubber—as if you have no control over them. They feel like they are burning inside, and it's so difficult to just keep running, let alone reach for a burst of speed.

The apostle Paul often used athletic terms to describe what it is to be a Christian. In today's opening passage, He wrote about running in such a way as to receive the prize. He told the Ephesians that he had finished his race with joy.

Let's not quit running our race. Let's run to win a prize. Let's finish with joy. In a normal race, we know where the finish line is. We know how many miles or laps we have to run to finish the contest. But when it comes to life, you and I don't really know when we will round that last bend or run that last step. Even though we think we have a long way to go, we might be right at the tape. What an encouragement to live each day for Jesus as though it were our last.

Run well today. Reach for the prize.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

TONIGHT I PRAY That you do not get discouraged when you have difficulty focusing on the Lord.  I believe that He knows that you truly want to have a closer walk with Him and be aware of His Presence in your life at all times. I pray that you do not let the feelings of failure weigh you down and take your focus off of HIM. Through HIS Word and Prayer I pray that you begin to see yourself as HE does and feel His love surround you even in the hardest of times!!!   I pray that when you feel your mind beginning to wander that you are not surprised, we live in a world that has been rigged to distract you away from the Lord Jesus.  When you notice that your mind is wandering call out his name.  “Jesus help me to focus on YOU” When you do this, rejoice for the enemy has already lost.   You have victory through Jesus!!! Praise the Lord in these triumphs, and they will increase and you will walk in the light of our Lord!!!  In Jesus name I Pray, Amen and Amen!  I Love You All!!!  God Bless you!!!  <3 span="">

Word of the Day... February 19, 2015...

"All Scripture is . . . profitable for . . . training in righteousness" (2 Tim. 3:16).
God’s Word nourishes your spiritual life.

We conclude our study of the character and benefits of God's Word by focusing on the benefit that ties all the others together: training in righteousness. Everything the Word accomplishes in you through teaching, reproof, and correction is aimed at increasing your righteousness so you'll "be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Tim. 3:17, NIV).

"Training" refers to training or educating a child. The New Testament also uses the term to speak of chastening, which is another important element in both child rearing and spiritual growth (Heb. 12:5-11). The idea is that from spiritual infancy to maturity, Scripture trains and educates believers in godly living.

Scripture is your spiritual nourishment. Jesus said, "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God" (Matt. 4:4). Peter exhorted us to be like newborn babes, longing "for the pure milk of the word, that by it [we] may grow in respect to salvation" (1 Pet. 2:2).

You should crave the Word just like a baby craves milk. But Peter prefaced that statement with an exhortation to put "aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisy and envy and all slander" (v. 1). That's the prerequisite. James taught the same principle: "Putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word" (James 1:21). Attempting to feast on Scripture without confessing your sin is like attempting to eat a meal while wearing a muzzle.

Either the Word will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from the Word. Deal with sin immediately so it doesn't spoil your appetite for God's Word. And even if you know the Bible well, be regularly refreshed by its power and reminded of its truths. That's the key to enjoying spiritual health and victory.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…..

TONIGHT I PRAY that you worship in the beauty of HIS holiness. I pray that you can see that He created beauty to declare the existence of His Holy Being. A magnificent rose, hauntingly glorious sunset, oceanic splendor all these things were meant to proclaim His Presence in the world. Most people rush past these beautiful things without giving them a second thought. I believe that the Lord is pleased when we admire the beauty and awesome splendor of His creation and praise Him for it.  I pray that we lift up empty hands of faith and praise His Holy Name, then we will leave ourselves open to receive His Presence, Light, Life, Joy and Peace that flows freely through us!!!  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love you all!!!  God Bless You!!! ♥♥♥

Keeping Us in View
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.   —Proverbs 15:3

A little boy was always getting into trouble in his Sunday School class. Finally, in exasperation, his teacher said to him, "I want you to know that God is watching you all the time. Even when I can't keep my eyes on you, God has His eyes on you. He's watching you. So you'd better straighten up."

The boy was terrified by the thought of God watching him all the time, like some great eye in the sky. After Sunday School, he told his parents, "The teacher said that God is watching me all the time." They could see that the thought terrified their son rather than bringing comfort to his heart. So his parents put it into proper context for him.

They said, "Yes, it's true that God is always watching you. But there's a reason for that. The truth is, He loves you so much that He just can't take His eyes off you."

Many times when we think of God watching us, what comes to mind are the seemingly omnipresent surveillance cameras we have in public places today. I knew someone who worked in a department store, and he showed me how these work. They are hidden in places where we tend to never look, and they can pretty much watch everyone. Most people don't even realize that in many public places, cameras are basically tracking them wherever they go.

So when we consider the fact that God is watching us, we might think, That's terrifying. But it all depends. If we are rebelling against the Lord, then the thought of His constant surveillance could be more than a little frightening.

But if our hearts are right with Him, then . . . what an incredible comfort! He never loses track of us, never misplaces our file, never takes His loving attention from us for even one moment. God is watching us, but He loves us so much that He can't take His eyes off us. We may lose sight of God, but He never loses sight of us.
I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

TONIGHT I PRAY that you keep yourself open to the working of the Holy Spirit in your life.  Sometimes God will allow you to go through situations to draw out impurities in your character. Embrace what He's doing so you can get to the next level in your spiritual journey. Sometimes when you are praying over and over and you don’t believe that your prayer has been answered, I pray that you just stop and be still.  Listen to the Holy Spirit within you.  Sometimes God removes a person in your life for your protection. Think about that before you go running after them. He gives us what we need so that we can grow into the men and women that He has planned for us to be.  I pray that you realize that His deepest desire for you is that you learn to depend on Him totally in every situation.  It is when you do that He will work with you and through you.  Use your freedom wisely, by relying on Him constantly.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen….  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!!

Word of the Day... February 17 2015...

It was I who knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought.    Hosea 13:5

Yes, Lord, You did indeed know me in my fallen state, and You did even then choose me for Yourself. When I was loathsome and self-abhorred, You received me as Your child, and You satisfied my longings. Blessed forever be Your name for this free, rich, abounding mercy. Since then, my inward experience has often been a wilderness; but You have kept me still as Your beloved and poured streams of love and grace into me to gladden me and make me fruitful. When my outward circumstances have been at the worst, and I have wandered in a land of drought, Your sweet presence has comforted me. Men have ignored me, and I have been scorned; but You have known my soul in adversities, for no affliction dims the luster of Your love. Most gracious Lord, I magnify You for all Your faithfulness to me in trying circumstances, and I deplore the fact that I have at times forgotten You and been proud of heart when I have owed everything to Your gentleness and love. Have mercy upon Your servant in this matter!

My soul, if Jesus acknowledged you in your lowly condition, be sure that you own both Himself and His cause now that you are in prosperity. Do not be puffed up by worldly successes, and do not be ashamed of the truth or of the poor church with which you have been associated. Follow Jesus into the wilderness: Bear the cross with Him when the persecution heats up. He owned you, O my soul, in your poverty and shame—never be so treacherous as to be ashamed of Him. Let me know more shame at the thought of being ashamed of my best Beloved! Jesus, my soul cleaves to You.

I'll turn to Thee in days of light,
As well as nights of care,
Thou brightest amid all that's bright!
Thou fairest of the fair!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….
TONIGHT I PRAY that you thank the Lord frequently as you journey through out your day.  When you do this it enables you to pray without ceasing and it allows you to become more aware of His Pleasure shining upon you and your prayers become a sweet aroma to the Lord.  I pray that you thank Him throughout the day for it will bring you His Presence and Peace. When your mind is occupied with thanking the Lord, you will have no time for worrying or complaining. If you practice thanking Him consistently negative thought patterns will gradually grow weaker and weaker.  I pray that you draw nearer to Jesus with a grateful heart, and let His Presence fill you with His Joy and His Peace. In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day... February 16, 2015...

O you who dwell in the gardens, with companions listening for your voice; let me hear it.    Song of Solomon 8:13

My sweet Lord Jesus remembers well the garden of Gethsemane, and although He has left that garden, He now dwells in the garden of His church: There He discloses Himself to those who keep His blessed company. The voice of love with which He speaks to His beloved is more musical than the harps of heaven. There is a depth of melodious love within it that leaves all human music far behind. Tens of thousands on earth, and millions above, are consumed with its harmonious accents. Some whom I know well, and whom I greatly envy, are at this moment hearkening to the beloved voice.

O that I were a partaker of their joys! It is true some of these are poor, others bedridden, and some near the gates of death; but, my Lord, I would cheerfully starve with them, pine with them, or die with them if I might simply hear Your voice. Once I heard it often, but I have grieved Your Spirit. Return to me in compassion and once again say to me, "I am your salvation."

No other voice can content me. I know Your voice and cannot be deceived by another; let me hear it, I pray You. I do not know what You will say, nor do I make any condition, my Beloved; simply let me hear You speak, and if it be a rebuke I will bless You for it. Perhaps the cleansing of my dull ear will require a painful surgery, but let it cost me what it will, I have only one consuming desire—to hear Your voice.

Pierce my ear with Your harshest notes, but do not allow me to remain deaf to Your calls. Tonight, Lord, grant Your unworthy servant his desire, for I am Yours, and You have bought me with Your blood. You have opened my eyes to see You, and the sight has saved me. Lord, open my ear. I have read Your heart; now let me hear from Your lips.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard me Through The Night.....

Tonight I Pray that we learn to wait patiently with HIM while He blesses us.  Never forget that the Lord dwells in timelessness.  He lets us know this when He tells us in the Word:  I AM, I Was and I will Always Be. I pray that you don’t allow your human frailness to get caught up in time.  We as humans can only take time in twenty four hour segments.  Lean on the Lord Jesus and allow Him to teach you how to master time and not allow it to be your master.  I pray that you seek to meet the Lord Jesus in timelessness.  When you put all of your focus on Him, the demand that time presents will diminish. Trust that He will Bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you His Peace.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen.  I Love You All!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

A Daily Deposit
Show me, Lord, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.   —Psalm 39:4

Let's say that your phone rings tomorrow morning, and it's a call from the manager of your bank. He tells you, "I received a very unusual call the other day. Someone who loves you very much and is quite wealthy has given you a large sum of money. This anonymous donor will be depositing 86,400 cents into your account every single day."

"How's that again?" you ask.

"Every single day, this person will deposit 86,400 cents into your account."

Is that much money? you wonder at first. Then you get out your calculator and figure out that it amounts to $864 every day. That's pretty good, you're thinking.

"But there is one condition," the banker continues. "You have to spend it every single day. You can't save it up. You can't add it to the next day's balance. Every day, you must spend that money. What is not spent will be taken away. This person will do this each and every day, but the condition is that you must spend the money."

So you go back to your calculator and figure out that $864 times 7 equals $6,048 per week. That amount, multiplied by 52, comes to $314,496 per year. That's a pretty good deal. And that is also a fantasy.

So let's deal with reality. Someone who really does love you very much deposits into your bank of time 86,400 seconds every single day. That someone is God. And the condition is that you must spend it. You can't save up time today and apply it toward tomorrow—there's no such thing as a twenty-seven-hour day. Each and every day, you have the opportunity to invest your precious commodity of time.

I like the way Paul wrote about this in Ephesians 5:15-17: "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is" (NIV).  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Word of the Day... February 14, 2015....

We have all become like one who is unclean.    Isaiah 64:6

The believer is a new creature; he belongs to a holy generation and a peculiar people. The Spirit of God is in him, and in every respect he is far removed from the natural man. But for all that the Christian is still a sinner. He is so because of the imperfection of his nature, and he will continue as such to the end of his earthly life. The dirty fingers of sin leave marks on our cleanest clothes. Sin spoils our repentance, before the great Potter has finished it upon the wheel. Selfishness defiles our tears, and unbelief tampers with our faith.

The best thing we ever did apart from the merit of Jesus only added to the number of our sins; for when we have been most pure in our own sight, still, like the heavens, we were not pure in God's sight; and as He charged His angels with folly, so He must charge us with it, even in our most angelic frames of mind. The song that seeks to emulate the angels' melodies has human discords in it. The prayer that moves the arm of God is still a bruised and battered prayer, and only moves that arm because the sinless One, the great Mediator, Jesus, has stepped in to take away the sin of our supplication. The most golden faith or the purest degree of sanctification to which a Christian ever attained on earth has still so much dross in it as to be only worthy of the flames.

Every night we look in the mirror we see a sinner and need to confess, "We have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment." How precious then is the blood of Christ to hearts like ours! How priceless a gift is His perfect righteousness! And how bright is the hope of perfect holiness in heaven! Even now, though sin dwells in us, its power is broken. It remains, but it no longer reigns; we are in bitter conflict with it, but we are dealing with a vanquished foe. In a little while we will enter victoriously into the city where nothing defiles.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard me Through The Night.....

Tonight I Pray that each of us make Jesus the focal point in our lives for security, our hearts and our minds so that we can stay close to the Lord in these last days when there is so much in the world to infect us. I Pray that as we trust the Lord in this, He will bring us to the place in our lives where we can have a conscious dependence on Him for every part of our lives. So that we can live IN Him!   I pray that we truly realize just who our Lord is The Prince of Peace and no matter what this world throws out on us we can still rest in the Peace of our Lord!!!  I pray His blessings over each one of you as you rest in the light of His love and grow strong in His Presence knowing nothing can happen to us that He doesn’t allow.  I pray that as you read His Word that you grow strong in faith and stand on the Supernatural Promises that He gives us in His Word.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God bless you!!!! <3 o:p="">

Word of the Day... February 13, 2015...

His head is the finest gold; his locks are wavy, black as a raven.    Song of Songs 5:11

Comparisons all fail to set forth the Lord Jesus, but the spouse uses the best she can find. By the head of Jesus we may understand His deity, "for the head of Christ is God"; and then the mold of purest gold is the best conceivable metaphor, but all too poor to describe one so precious, so pure, so dear, so glorious. Jesus is not a grain of gold, but a vast globe of it, a priceless mass of treasure such as earth and heaven cannot excel.

The creatures are mere iron and clay—they will all perish like wood, hay, and stubble; but the ever-living Head of the creation of God will shine on forever and ever. In Him is no mixture, nor smallest taint of alloy. He is forever infinitely holy and altogether divine. The wavy locks depict His manly vigor. There is nothing effeminate in our Lord. He is the manliest of men—bold as a lion, strong as an ox, swift as an eagle. Every conceivable and inconceivable beauty is to be found in Him, though He once was despised and rejected of men.

His head the finest gold;
With secret sweet perfume,
His curled locks hang all as black
As any raven's plume.

The glory of His head is not shorn away. He is eternally crowned with peerless majesty. The black hair indicates youthful freshness, for Jesus has the dew of His youth upon Him. Others grow weak with age, but He is forever a Priest like Melchizedek; others come and go, but He remains as God upon His throne, world without end. We will behold Him tonight and adore Him. Angels are gazing on Him—His redeemed must not turn their eyes away from Him. Where else is there such a Beloved? Oh, for an hour's fellowship with Him! Be gone, you intruding anxieties! Jesus draws me, and I run after Him.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Just Waiting on Him
His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it."
—John 2:5

When David was called by God to be king, he was out watching sheep, just being faithful. The day David killed Goliath, he didn't wake up that morning and hear God say, "David, today you are going to the valley of Elah. There will be a giant Philistine named Goliath, and you will kill him with a stone." No, at his dad's request, David was taking some cheese sandwiches to his brothers out on the front line . . . just being faithful on an errand for his dad.

What was Gideon doing when God called him? He was hiding from his enemies. He was terrified. But God saw his potential, and the next thing Gideon knew, he was leading troops into battle.

And what was Elisha doing when Elijah called him to carry on the work? He was out plowing in the field. Moses was watching a bunch of sheep in the desert when God called him to deliver the Israelites. Then there was Daniel, who was so faithful to the Lord that his enemies couldn't find one thing wrong with him. They had to make up lies about him so that he would be sentenced to death. And how about that teenage girl in Nazareth who had a visit from one of God's most powerful angels, with a message about a Child who would be called the Son of the Most High?

My point is this: They were faithfully doing what God had set before them. They weren't running around, looking for big, important things to accomplish. They didn't have public relations consultants or agents. They were simply doing the little things, waiting on God.

Sometimes we have great ideas of what God will do. But we have to wait on Him. What are your dreams right now? Maybe you want to do something for God, but you think it will never happen. Then again . . . maybe it will. Maybe it even will surpass your wildest dreams. Just be faithful to do what God has set before you right now. Your future is safe in His hands.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Word of the Day... February 11, 2015...

When the Time Is Right
You must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.   —2 Peter 3:8–10

We live in a culture in which everything happens fast. We don't have to wait for much of anything anymore. So when we're told to wait for the Lord's return, it can be difficult for us. We look around at our world and say, "Lord, come on. Look how bad it's getting! Have You forgotten? When are You coming back?"

But we must understand that God has His own schedule and is not bound by ours. Jesus came the first time at the appointed hour, and He will come the second time in the same way. The Bible tells us, "But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children" (Galatians 4:4-5, NLT). God watched this little world of ours, and He knew when the right moment in time had come.

When Jesus arrived on the scene, the people were ready. The Romans ruled the known world with their vast system of roads, easing transportation. Taxes were high, morale was low, and morals were even lower. It had been four hundred years since Israel had heard from God . . . since a prophet had come . . . since an angel appeared . . . since a miracle had been performed. Then John the Baptist burst on the scene, announcing that the Messiah had indeed arrived. When the time was just right, God sent His Son. And when the time is just right, the Son will return again to this earth.

I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did. I can’t wait to go up in the Rapture and be with the Lord forever!!!  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!

Word of the Day... February 10, 2015...

Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.
 Luke 22:46

When is the Christian most liable to sleep? Is it not when his temporal circumstances are prosperous? Have you not found it so? When you had daily troubles to take to the throne of grace, were you not more awake than you are now? Easy roads make sleepy travelers. Another dangerous time is when all goes pleasantly in spiritual matters. A Christian did not fall asleep when lions were in the way or when he was wading through the river or when fighting with Apollyon. But when he had climbed halfway up the Hill Difficulty and came to a delightful spot, he sat down and promptly fell asleep, to his great sorrow and loss.

The enchanted ground is a place of balmy breezes, filled with fragrant odors and soft influences, all of which tend to lull pilgrims to sleep. Remember Bunyan's description: "Then they came to an arbor, warm, and promising much refreshing to the weary pilgrims; for it was finely wrought above head, beautified with greens, and furnished with benches and settees. It also had in it a soft couch, where the weary might lean." "The arbor was called the Slothful's Friend, and was made on purpose to attract, if it might, some of the pilgrims to take their rest there when weary."

Depend upon it—it is in easy places that men shut their eyes and wander into the dreamy land of forgetfulness. Old Erskine wisely remarked, "I like a roaring devil better than a sleeping devil." There is no temptation half so dangerous as not being tempted. The distressed soul does not sleep; it is after we enter into peaceful confidence and full assurance that we are in danger of slumbering. The disciples fell asleep after they had seen Jesus transfigured on the mountaintop. Take heed, joyful Christian, easy days are close neighbors to temptations: Be as happy as you will—only be watchful!

I loved this devotional today and learned so much!!!  I hope you have a Simply Heavenly day!!!  God bless you!!!

Word of the Day... February 9, 2015...

What Really Counts
If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand--shine!   —Matthew 5:15

How should I live my life on this earth? What purpose does God have in mind for me, now that I have received His Son, Jesus Christ, into my heart?

These are questions every believer should ask, because if you have no goals or purpose, you can waste your life. As I have often said, if you aim at nothing, you're bound to hit it.

Many people simply want to prolong their lives rather than try to find their purpose in life. Certainly medical science is helping us live longer lives. We can add years to our lives, but we can't add life to our years. Should our primary goal be to prolong our lives, or should it be to live life to its fullest?

Jim Elliot was fresh out of college when he felt the call of God to go to the mission field. Tragically, Jim and four other young missionaries lost their lives in the jungles of Ecuador in an attempt to reach others with the gospel. It might seem like a terrible waste of life for such a young man with so much promise. But after his death, this entry was found in one of his journals: "I seek not a long life, but a full one, like You, Lord Jesus."

That is a good goal: to live a full life, a life with meaning and purpose. We don't know how long we will live; that's up to God. But life isn't merely a matter of years. It's a matter of how we live. It isn't the years that count but what you do with those years.

Sometimes heartaches, trials, and tragedies can threaten to squeeze all of the meaning out of life. In our darkest moments, we may even wonder why God leaves us on the planet. But if our heavenly Father has chosen to give us life for another day, we can be sure that He has a purpose in doing so. We need to wait on Him, keep our eyes open to every opportunity, and trust Him daily for the grace to keep us going.  I hope that you enjoyed this devotional as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!  God bless you!!!
