Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

Tonight I Pray that we come before the Lord with a heart of Thanksgiving, remembering the greatest gift that God has given to us is Jesus…For His love goes on and on into eternity!!!  Many people do not like mystery, but love is both mysterious and sacred.  A love so great that our Father sent His only Son to earth as an innocent babe born to die for all of the sin of the world! But death could not hold our Jesus.  When you go to His tomb it is empty!!! He is not there!!!   He is risen and is alive and with us each day as we read the Bible and come before Him in prayer.  I pray that you find His love, the most powerful love in the universe… As Christians there is no barrier between us and the Lord, for His blood continues to cleanse us daily from our sin as we come before Him in prayer and through His Word.   Never forget that you are His Beloved; this will be your forever identity and I pray that you rejoice in this!!!  HIS Love will prevail and the next time He comes back to earth it will not be as a defenseless babe in a manger or a broken man on a cross.  Jesus will return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and every knee shall bow before Him!!! I pray that if you don’t know Jesus that you ask Him to come into your heart today…  If you want to know Jesus and start life new and fresh in Him, pray this with me:  Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that You took the pain and the sins of world on the cross to give me new life. I ask You to come into my heart and to give me Your peace and joy. I confess that I am a sinner that I have gone my own way and have done wrong. Please forgive me for my sins. I receive You now as my Lord and Savior. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to follow You and to serve You all the days of my life. Thank you so much for loving me, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.  If you prayed that prayer you are a new creature in Christ Jesus!  You are Born Again!  Welcome to the family!!!  I Love you All!!!  God Bless You!!!♥♥♥

Hearing God
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
—Psalm 119:105

There are a lot of people today who say they hear the voice of God telling them to do this or that. But what we must remember is that God never will contradict His Word. He always will lead us according to what the Bible says.

Some people come up with some lame concepts, such as "We're not married, but God has told us it's okay to have sex." I could assure them that God didn't say that because in His Word, He says, "You shall not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14). God won't contradict His Word.

Let's say you were hoping for a letter from someone. You stand at the window, waiting for what seems like an eternity for the mail carrier to come by. Finally, he drives up, and you bolt over to your mailbox. You're looking for that letter. Maybe it's from someone you're in love with. Maybe it's an answer to a job application. Maybe it's something you ordered in the mail. Maybe you've won the sweepstakes.

But imagine this. What if you had a handwritten note sent to you from God? Would you carry it around in your pocket for a couple of weeks and open it when you got around to it? I doubt it. You probably would tear it open as you're thinking, Wow, God spoke to me! What does He have to say?

The Bible is a written letter from God. A lot of us carry it. We have it in different colors and sizes. We have it in different translations. Some of us even have it on our smartphones or tablets. But we never read it. Yet it's a letter from God to us. If you want God to speak to you, then open up His Word.

This was an excellent devotional from Pastor Greg.  I hope that you all enjoyed it and will get out your Bibles and take the time to visit with Jesus every single morning.  It makes such a difference in your daily walk with Him. If you draw closer to Him he will draw closer to you.  Have a Simply Heavenly day and may God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…..

Tonight I Pray that you take time out in your day to spend visiting Jesus.  Stop yourself from rushing into your day and begin it with Him. I pray that you realize that spending quality time with Jesus is essential for the success of your day.  Just sit in the morning light and be still in His Presence. Waiting upon the Lord will prepare you for everything that is ahead of you this day.  I pray that through your quiet spirit the Lord will speak to you and lead you in the art of learning how to rest in His Presence.  It is when we still our minds that we can carry the peace of the Lord everywhere we go.  I pray that you come to the realization that you never have to be without Jesus.  Never forget that His sheep hear His voice continually, for He is the ever present Shepherd. Step into the fullness of His love and His light will warm you with His words…  I am here always, even until the end…  Walk in that faith and you will experience His unfathomable peace.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen… I Love You All!!!  God Bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day.... April 29, 2014....

The Voice of CircumstanceGideon said to God, "If You will save Israel by my hand as You have said -- look, I shall put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor; if there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that You will save Israel by my hand, as You have said."—Judges 6:36–37

Not only does God speak to us through His Word and not only will He never contradict His Word, but God also speaks through circumstances. Although I'm not one to base major life decisions on circumstances alone, clearly there have been times when I have sensed that something was the will of God and then things would fall into place circumstantially. At other times, circumstances have made it obvious that God was saying no.

A classic example of God speaking through circumstances was when God spoke to Gideon, who laid his fleece out on the ground, asking God to confirm His Word. Certainly Jonah got the right message when God brought his journey to an abrupt halt, and he found himself in the belly of a very large fish.

Of course, as a part of this process, God speaks to us through people. For example, there have been times when I've been listening to someone preach or have been talking with a friend, and suddenly what he is saying addresses the situation I'm going through, even though he is completely unaware of my circumstances. It makes me realize that it is God Himself speaking to me through those individuals.

Maybe God has spoken to you through a pastor or a Christian friend. Or perhaps He has been speaking to you through circumstances. Listen carefully, and remember that He never will contradict His Word.

I had to share this devotional from Pastor Greg.  I have had this happen in my own life.  When I was unsure about what was going to happen in my life many times the Lord would speak through a pastor or a good friend and they wouldn’t even be aware of it.  I am just so blessed to have a Lord that truly cares for each one of His children.  I hope you have a Simply heavenly Day…  God bless you!!!!

Word of the Day... April28, 2014...

The earliest memories of my childhood include fishing. I wasn't particularly good at it, but I remember what it felt like to catch something on the other end of the line. It was an exhilarating feeling—even if it was just a can or a rock.

John 21:1-14 tells a different fishing story: the story of Jesus' third appearance to the disciples after His resurrection. While waiting for Jesus at Galilee, Peter decided to go fishing, and the other disciples joined him, but they didn't catch anything. The next morning Jesus appeared on the shore and told them to cast their nets on the other side of their boat. They ended up with a huge amount of fish—and an intimate breakfast with the risen Lord.

Even though the last two verses of John 20 sound like a perfect ending for his book, John wrote another chapter. Why? I believe he wanted his readers to know how to relate to a resurrected and returning Lord. At the end of chapter twenty, the disciples believed in the resurrection, but they were unclear about their responsibility: Okay, He's risen. Now what?

We just celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ this past Sunday. How do we relate to our Savior who is alive and coming back? How do we live while we're waiting for Him to return? I think the answers are found in this short section of John.

The first thing we ought to do as the church is gather frequently, just as the disciples did. The word church has become such a religious word, but it originally was a secular term meaning a group of citizens called out of their city or society to assemble together regularly. A biblical definition of the church is a holy assembly set apart to meet regularly and worship Christ. As we wait for the Lord to return, we need to be with God's people, "[stirring] up love and good works" (Heb. 10:24).

The second thing we need to do is be active. The disciples were waiting for Jesus to come to Galilee (see Matt. 28:7), but while they were waiting, they went fishing. I suggest that until the Lord returns, we stay busy. Jesus recommended the same thing (see Luke 19:11-27; Matt. 25:14-30). We should invest our time and talents in doing the Lord's work. Live your life, work hard, and make decisions trusting that He will direct you as you're moving. Don't couch your excuses in spiritual terminology: "I'm just waiting on the Lord." Wait actively on Him.

Here's the third thing to do: be obedient. When Jesus asked the disciples, "What have you caught?" He was only asking so they would admit their failure and recognize their need. Failure causes us to think about our motives and be open to something new, like casting our net on the other side of the boat. Be more than competent and diligent in your Christian life; listen carefully and be obedient: Is this what the Lord is telling me to do at this time? I want to follow His lead.

Finally, be intimate with our resurrected Lord. If you talked to the disciples that morning, they probably would have said, "The highlight of the day was eating breakfast with Jesus; it reminded us of the sweet intimacy of that Last Supper." I love that Jesus loved to eat. Eating was an intimate form of fellowship in ancient times. In Revelation, Jesus said, "If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me" (3:20).

I'm so thankful that John included this story so we can know how to relate to our resurrected and returning Lord. Remember what Jesus said: "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming" (Matt. 25:13). May we live intentionally while we wait for His return.  I had to share this with you.  I hope you enjoy this devotional from Pastor Skip as much as I did.  Have a Simply Heavenly Day!!!  God bless you!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night...

Tonight I Pray that you realize that as a child of God you are HIS for all eternity!!!   No one can deny you that inheritance in heaven.  We are secure in Him. Even if you stumble and falter as you journey through this life, He will never let go of your hand.  I pray that you know that your future is absolutely secure In Jesus!!!  When you can stand on that faith you will be free to live a more abundant life.  The Lord has prepared this day for you and He has taken great care and attention to every detail.  Instead of living each day by trying to fill it up with things to keep you busy, I pray that you pause and rest in the Lord Jesus.  It may sound easy to do, but it takes a deep level of trust and faith on your part.  When you make the decision to step out in that faith you will see that His way is Perfect. I pray that you live in the light of His Presence and when you do His Light will shine brightly through you for the whole world to see…  In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen and Amen….  I Love You all!!  God Bless You!!! ♥♥♥

Persevering through Pressure

by Charles R. Swindoll
so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.  Hebrews 6:18

Doubts often steal into our lives like termites into a house. These termite-like thoughts eat away at our faith. Usually, we can hold up pretty well under this attack. But occasionally, when a strong gale comes along---a sudden, intense blast---we discover we cannot cope. Our house begins to lean. For some people it completely collapses. It is during these stormy times, during the dark days and nights of tragedy and calamity, that we begin to feel the destructive effects of our doubts---running like stress fractures through the structure of our lives.

For me, there are three times when the intensity of doubt reaches maximum proportions.

One such time is when things I believe should never happen, occur. There are times when my loving, gracious, merciful, kind, good, sovereign God surprises me by saying yes to something I was convinced He would say no to. When bad things happen to good people.

I once received a letter from a woman who heard a talk I had given entitled "Riding Out the Storm." Little did she know how meaningful it would be to her. Just as she was entering into the truth of that message, she arrived at home to discover that her young, recently married daughter had been brutally murdered.

Why did God say yes to that? Why did that bad thing happen to that good person? The effect of such termites within our soul is great. They eat away at us, and doubt wins a hearing.

Doubts also increase when things I believe should happen, never occur (the other side of the coin). When I expected God to say yes but He said no. Numerous parents of young men and women have said good-bye and sent their children away to war, convinced God would bring them home again. But sometimes He says no.

Joni Eareckson Tada (and a thousand like her) trust confidently for awhile that the paralysis will go away---that God will say, "Yes, I'll get you through this. I'll teach you some deep lessons, and then I will use you with full health in days to come as I heal you completely." But God ultimately says no. When we expect Him to say yes and He says no, doubts multiply.

The third situation in which doubts grow takes place when things that I believe should happen now, occur much, much later. Of all the doubts which creep into our soul perhaps few are more devastating than those that happen when we are told by God, in effect. "Wait, wait, wait, wait . . . wait . . . wait!" All of us have wrestled greatly with His timing.

These "pressure points" provide a perfect introduction to the verses in Hebrews 6. This is that great chapter that begins with a strong warning, continues with words of affirmation, and closes with words of reassurance and ringing confidence. It addresses the Christian hanging on by his fingernails as he feels himself sliding down the hill. It shouts: "Persevere! Hang tough! Be strong! Don't quit!" Even when God says no, and you expected yes. Even when He says yes, and you anticipated no. And especially when He says to wait, and you expected it now.

If you're in that painful space right now, my word for you is: persevere! Hope in God---this is not the end.  I love Charles Swindoll and I thought this was perfect to share with you on this first day of the week to start everything off knowing that we serve a very loving God who is large and in charge.  Have a Simply Heavenly Day!!!  God bless you!!!

Word of the Day... April 26, 2014...

You will not fear the terror of the night.

Psalms 91:5

What is this "terror"? It may be the cry of fire or the noise of thieves or intrigued appearances or the shriek of sudden sickness or death. We live in the world of death and sorrow; we may anticipate facing ills and difficulties during the night as well as in the glare of the noonday sun. This should not alarm us, for whatever the terror may be, the promise is that the believer shall not be afraid. Why should he be?

Let us put this more closely—why should we? God our Father is here, and will be with us all through the lonely hours. He is an almighty Watcher, a sleepless Guardian, a faithful Friend. Nothing can happen without His direction, for even hell itself is under His control. Darkness is not dark to Him. He has promised to be a wall of fire around His people—and who can break through such a barrier?

Unbelievers may well be afraid, for they have an angry God above them, a guilty conscience within them, and a yawning hell beneath them. But we who rest in Jesus are saved from all these by His rich mercy. If we give way to foolish fear, we will dishonor our testimony and lead others to doubt the reality of godliness. We ought to be afraid of being afraid, in case we should grieve the Holy Spirit by foolish distrust. Down, then, you dismal forebodings and groundless apprehensions—God has not forgotten to be gracious, nor held back His tender mercies. It may be night in the soul, but there need be no terror, for the God of love does not change.

Children of light may walk in darkness, but they are not therefore cast away. No, they are now enabled to prove their adoption by trusting in their heavenly Father in a way that hypocrites cannot do.

Though the night be dark and dreary,

Darkness cannot hide from Thee;
You are He, who, never weary,
Watchest where Your people be.

I really enjoyed this devotion today from Truth for Life by Alistair Beggs.  He is really good pastor that I enjoy listening to daily.  I hope that you are as blessed by this as I was.  Have a Simply Heavenly Day!!!  God bless you!!!

Word of the Day... April 25, 2014....

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous man shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17

I think there are a few really great Bible teachers out there and Skip Heitzig is one of them.  I really enjoy reading his work and I thought I would share this with all of you.  I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.

The Bible teaches that "The just shall live by faith" (Romans 1:17). We are all born into the slavery of sin and are under the wrath of God until we are set free by Jesus Christ. That certainly isn't a message the world wants to hear.

The world wants to celebrate the righteousness of man: They want to believe that we are all basically good. But Romans 3:10 tells us God's perspective from heaven: "There is none righteous, no, not one." The world thinks if you are really religious and work really hard doing good things, then you earn your way to heaven. But the Bible says those who realize that they are sinners and place their faith in Jesus Christ (like the thief on the cross) are the ones who will be with Him in paradise (see Luke 23:39-43).

God's attitude toward sin has never changed. Romans 3:19 tells us that the whole world is guilty before God. "Therefore, by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (vv. 20, 23-24).

Paul points to Abraham as our example. "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness" (Romans 4:3). On the other hand are those who "have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes" (Romans 10:2-4).

Man is incurably addicted to working for his own salvation. I don't know what it is about us. We can't just say, "I am not good enough, I accept Your gift." No, we say, "I am going to be good. I am going to pull up my boot straps and earn salvation." The problem is ignorance; it's "not according to knowledge." In other words, we don't have a correct understanding of the revealed will of God in the Scriptures.

Paul said this: "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation" (Romans 10:9-10). Here are two essential articles of faith: acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus--that He is God in human flesh--and that He rose physically from the dead.

And it goes on: "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame...whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (vv. 11, 13). It's the gospel of grace, not through works, not through religion, not through moralistic behavior, but through faith.

We all have sinned; there is none righteous in His sight--not one. People aren't basically good. All people are basically wicked and must be redeemed. Unless we understand that, we will never understand the meaning of the gospel. The good news is what Jesus is willing to do for each one of us--to forgive us and to declare us righteous.

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night...

Tonight I pray that you find comfort in knowing that He is Perfectly Good and Infinitely Strong!!!  He is our stronghold in times of trouble.  Come to Him with all of your weaknesses; physical, emotional and spiritual.  You can rest in the comfort of His Loving Presence for He is the good Shepherd and He knows those who trust in Him.  I pray that you keep your eyes fixed on the Lord. For it is when we are in tune with Him that we can see that He is already at work in our life. Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds those who trust in Him. Though you may feel frightened even in a very dangerous place in your life, the safest place to be is in His Will.  He protects those whom He loves!!!!  Stand on that faith!!! In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!!♥♥

Word of the Day... April 24,2014....

The Key to Answered PrayerIf you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.    —John 15:7

How often have you felt that your prayers were hitting a glass ceiling — as though the Lord were saying no? Maybe it is because you were praying outside of His will. Maybe it's because you were praying for something that God didn't want you to have.

We need to remember the promise Jesus spoke of in John 15:7, which says, "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." Another version puts it this way: "But if you live your life in me, and my words live in your hearts, you can ask for whatever you like and it will come true for you" (PH). I really like that version — especially the part that tells us to ask for whatever we like.

But let's also remember the condition: "If you live your life in me, and my words live in your hearts. . . ." If you are maintaining a living communion with God and His words are at home with you, then your desires are going to change. Your prayers won't necessarily be the same as they were before. As you get in sync with the will of God, you will see that prayer is not getting God to do what you want Him to do, but prayer is getting you to do what God wants you to do.

You will discover the important truth that prayer is not bending God our way — it is bending us His way. And then, you just may see your prayers being answered in the affirmative.

This was a great devotion from Pastor Greg.  He is right Jesus is not an order take He is God and He gives us what is best for us.  A primary reason why prayer is unanswered is sin. God cannot be mocked or deceived, and He knows us intimately, down to our every thought. If we are not walking in His Will and Way or we harbor enmity in our hearts toward our brother or we ask for things with the wrong motives (such as from selfish desires), then we can expect God not to answer our prayer because He does not hear.

God may often seem silent to us, but He never sends us away empty-handed. Even if prayer has not been answered, we must rely upon God to do so in His own time. Even the exercise of prayer is a blessing to us; it is because of our faith that we are stirred to persist in prayer. It is faith that pleases God, and if our prayer life is wanting, I think it is a reflection of our spiritual life.  God hears our impoverished cries for mercy, and His silence inflames us with a sense of persistence in prayer. He loves us to reason with Him. Let us hunger for the things that are after God’s heart and let us walk in His ways and not our own. If we are faithful to pray without ceasing, then we are living in the will of God, and that can never be wrong. God is good all the time!!!  I hope you have a Simply Heavenly day!!!

The Reality of Heaven
by Charles R. Swindoll

Revelation 21:1-6

The same Bible that develops the subject of hell also reveals the truth about heaven. What is heaven like? Playing harps all day? Lounging around on Cloud Nine? Living in enormous mansions along solid gold streets? Does it mean we'll all have long white robes with matching sandals, glowing halos, and big flapping wings? Hardly!

Heaven is an actual place. A prepared place, designed for God's redeemed people, those who have accepted God's free gift of His Son.

"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14:1-3)

According to this and other New Testament verses, heaven will be a place of beauty, peace, constant health, and happiness, filled with people from all the earthly ages who have one thing in common: faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, who took away the sin of the world.

In heaven we'll have a face-to-face, exclusive relationship with our Savior, gloriously enjoyed without interruption or heartache or grief or sin or the threat of death.  God promised that He would make all things new in heaven.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband . . .Then He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. (Revelation 21:1-2, 6)

Heaven will be the destiny of those who take God at His Word, believing in His Son, Jesus Christ, and coming, by faith, to salvation . . . without cost.

Can something this good really be free? Even free of works? You decide after reading these Scripture verses.

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:24)

Yes, salvation comes to us "free and clear" of any hidden charges or religious deeds or human effort. We come to God through Christ . . . lost, sinful, without hope, and deserving of hell. In grace, He sees us in Christ and in grace loves us, forgives us, accepts us into His family, and promises us an eternal home with Him in heaven, the ultimate destination of all His people.

Salvation is the single most important issue in all of life. Yet, if we are not careful, we'll put it off until later; we'll even put it completely out of our minds. Salvation is an urgent matter and is yours for the taking.

I ask you, will you do so today?

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night...

TONIGHT I Pray that the Lord to help you to put off anger, loss of temper and bitterness and put on being tenderhearted and sensitive! You may have some obstacles in your path, but the good news is, the Power that is for you is greater than any power that is against you. I declare power to violently resist the enemy! The Holy Spirit can conquer all of the storms in your life!!! Take His hand and as you walk with Him be as the birds that fly into the WIND as it pushes against them, it moves them higher into the heavens. That even in the worst storms the Lord will hold you in His arms and allow you to rest in Him.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!    God bless you!!!

Word of the Day... April 22, 2014....

IngratitudeAlthough they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.—Romans 1:21
A man who was nailing down a loose shingle on a roof lost his footing and began to slip. Working three stories above ground, he was terrified at the thought of falling to his death. He started shouting, "God, help me! I'm falling! Do something!" Just as he came to the edge of the roof, his belt loop caught on a nail and stopped him long enough to grab hold again.
He shouted, "It's okay, God! I got caught on a nail."

That is how we can be. We cry out to God. He answers our prayers. Then we say, "It's okay, God! Everything seemed to work out."

But do we ever stop and think that God might have worked through certain circumstances to come to our rescue? My point is, we need to put as much zeal in thanking God for what He has done as we put into pleading with God when we are in need.

I heard about a hospital chaplain who kept a record of some two thousand patients whom he had visited, all who seemed to be in a dying condition and showed signs of repentance. Among those restored to health, he felt that only two showed a marked change in their spiritual lives after their recovery. In other words, when these people thought they would die, they repented. But when they recovered, they forgot about God.

What would you think of a person who always wanted things from you but never offered a word of thanks in return? We can be that way with God, can't we? Let's remember to thank Him.
When I read this I couldn’t help but think that I never want to be ungrateful for all that the Lord has done for me.  I want to come to Him daily with a thankful heart.  I will never forget the day that the Lord helped me through lung cancer and I want that feeling to stay fresh inside my heart and soul forever!!!

I will never forget that day when I came home from the hospital and opened my Bible and read those words that He gave me that afternoon:
When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”  John 11:4

It was in that minute that I knew that the cancer would never return and that the Lord had spared my life!!!  I can remember crying out to Him and thanking Him over and over.  God is good all the time is not just a cliché it is the truth that we can stand on.  I believe that God answers every single one of our prayers and thankfully He doesn’t give us what we want all the time.  He gives us what we need.  What is best for us!!!  I hope that you have a Simply Heavenly day!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night...

Tonight I Pray that you get into the habit of putting on the full armor of God every single day!  Don’t allow anything to come between you and Jesus.  I pray that you realize that the closer we get to the end the more trials Satan will throw in our path.  It will be when we have HIS full armor on that the Holy Spirit will be able to flow through us and carry us through the trials to the place He wants us to be.  Then we will have the opportunity to seek out the Lord so that we can please Him above everything else in our life. I pray that we walk IN the Lord and not try to walk in both this world and with Jesus for when you allow other people’s expectations to drive you, your energy is scattered to the wind draining you of everything.   When we pretend to be something we are not, we cannot please God.  I pray that we all turn our eyes to Jesus and make Him the central focus of our lives, for it is utterly impossible to be inauthentic while we are in the Presence of the Lord.  He has designed us to need Him every moment and when we realize this He will show us that He can meet every single one of our needs.  Hold tightly to His hands and allow Him to lead you through the maze  of darkness and into the warm light of His eternal Love!!! In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!!!

Word of the Day... April 21,2014...

Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

What brought Adam and Eve down? We assume it was the attractiveness of the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. But it wasn't the fruit; it was what the fruit promised.

Satan told them, "God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil" (Genesis 3:5). In other words, "Eve, listen. You will be a goddess. Adam, you will be a god. Come on, go for it." And they did. The devil had appealed to their pride.

That is one of the devil's subtle ways to strike: he attacks us through pride. Popularity can be more deadly than persecution. Christians start believing their own press and become inflated with pride.

First the devil comes to us and says, You are worthless. You are a piece of garbage. God would never use someone like you.

We reply, "Well, I don't know. The Bible says that if I will confess my sin, God is faithful and just to forgive me my sins and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. And the Bible also says that God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise. So I think God will use me."

Then the devil changes his whole mode of attack. Instead of trying to tear us down, he whispers in our ear, You are the awesome man of God (or the wonderful woman of virtue)! Everything you say is wonderful. You are so great! And we soak it up.

I had to share my devotional with you today from Greg Laurie. I think what he is talking about here has happened to every single one of us.  We just have to remember to stay in the Word for that is where we get our strength.  God is not the author of confusion. It is so on point that I believe that all of you would enjoy reading it.  I hope you all have a Simply Heavenly day!!!  God bless you!!!  Jesus Loves you!!! ♥♥♥

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night...

Tonight I pray that you come to the Lord with a happy heart and a teachable spirit, because a happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing. I pray that the Lord reveals to you that a closer walk with Him is a life where you will be continually renewed through the power and might of His Spirit.  I pray that as we seek the Lord with an open mind we will see that our journey with Jesus involves being transformed by the renewing of our mind on a daily basis through prayer and by being in Your Word. I pray that you are aware that He keeps a steady eye on us and that He understands us perfectly and still loves us!!!!   He embraces us with HIS Everlasting Love!!!  I know the things He has planned for you.  Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  I pray that you stand on that faith and give yourself fully to the Lord and this adventure of increasing attentiveness to His Presence in our lives.  In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen and Amen!!!! I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!! ♥♥

What Easter Truly Means to Me

Last night my husband and I watched the Passion of the Christ and I have to say no matter how many times I watch that movie I cry.  It really hurts me to see the pain that Jesus endured for all of us.  I have heard people say “It was the Jews that killed him” or “It was the Romans that killed Him!” To be honest it was neither of them that killed my Jesus.  It was LOVE that put Jesus up on that cross to die an unbearably painful death for each and every one of us.

You see Jesus knew that we would be judged on our merit and He knew that every single one of us would fall short.  The Bible says:  For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).  Without His love and saving grace we would all be doomed.  For the punishment for sin is death.

God originally created the earth and man perfect.  But when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and rebelled against Him and sinned, He had to punish them.  The punishment for sin is death.  God being a righteous judge could not pardon our sin. Likewise, overlooking sin would make the holy God unjust. Death is God’s just consequence for sin. The Bible says “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Even good works cannot make up for wrongs against the holy God. Compared to His goodness, “Our righteousness is as filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6).

Ever since Adam’s sin, every human that has ever lived has been guilty of disobeying God’s righteous laws. Sin is not just big things like murder or blasphemy, but also includes the love of money, hatred of enemies, a lying tongue and pride. Because of sin, every one of us  deserves death eternal separation from God in hell.

The promise required an innocent death. Luckily for us we serve a very loving perfect God.  He knew what we were going to do and He sent His only Begotten Son to be our Lamb.  It would be through His shed blood on the cross that we would have forgiveness for our sin.  We have to remember that the Lord is a Holy God and He cannot let sin go unpunished and that is why Jesus came to earth.  He was born of a virgin, died on the cross for our sins and on the third day He arose from the dead!

The Scripture says, “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Evidence affirms that the sinless Jesus bled and died on a cross. Most importantly, the Bible explains why Jesus’ death and resurrection provide the only entrance to heaven.

So How do we receive this free gift of salvation? We are saved by grace through faith. First, we must hear the gospel the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection (Ephesians 1:13). Then, we must believe—fully trust the Lord Jesus (Romans 1:16). This involves repentance, a changing of mind about sin and Christ (Acts 3:19), and calling on the name of the Lord (Romans 10:9-10, 13). Jesus tell us in the Bible:

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second into their mother’s womb to be born!”  Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. John 3:3-6

If you want a new life in Christ Jesus, ask Him into your heart today.  Simply pray this:  Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that You took the pain and the sins of world on the cross to give me new life. May God bless you and Happy Easter!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night...

TONIGHT I Pray that every counsel, design, plan, desire, expectation, imagination, device and activity of the enemy against your life be rendered null and void!!!  We can’t reach our highest potential in our own ability. It’s going to take the Most High God breathing in our direction, making a way where it looks like there is no way.  Don’t let the giant problems, restrictions, or even legitimate excuses deter your dreams and overpower your passions. Go for what God has placed in your heart!  I pray that every power prolonging any battle in your life to receive permanent defeat in Jesus’ name! The spirit of fear and worry is overturned!  Move forward in the name of Jesus Christ I pray!!!  Be Blessed!!!  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen. I love you all. God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day... April 19, 2014...

Make the Right ChoiceI have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.  —Deuteronomy 30:19

When I first became a Christian, I decided that I would somehow find a way to live in two worlds. I was planning to hang out with my old friends and still be a Christian. For a time, I felt as though I were in a state of suspended animation. I wasn't comfortable with my old buddies, but I wasn't quite comfortable with the Christians, either. So I decided to be Mr. Solo Christian. I even said to my friends, "Don't worry about me. You're thinking I will become a fanatic and carry a Bible and say, 'Praise the Lord.' It will never happen. I'm going to be cool about this. I won't embarrass you, but I'm going to believe in God now."

However, as God became more real to me and I began to follow Him more closely, He changed my life and my outlook, and my priorities began to change.

There are people who will discourage you from growing spiritually. They will say, "I think it's good that you are a Christian. I go to church too, at Christmas and Easter, and for weddings. But you're getting a little too fanatical. You actually brought a Bible to work the other day. We were so embarrassed. You're no fun anymore. We're glad you have made changes in your life, but don't become too extreme." There are people like this who will discourage you.

When this happens, you have the choice to either do what God wants you to do or to go with the flow. Are you going to let people hold you back? Are you going to let people discourage you from wholehearted commitment to Jesus Christ?

This is a good devotional today from Pastor Greg and I really like that he speaks to a strong walk with Jesus Christ and putting Him first place in your life. After what Jesus did in my life I will never be ashamed of him again and I will serve Him all the rest of the days of my life.  I hope that you have a Simply Heavenly Day....
