Trusting For Fruit

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.  John 15:4

How did you begin to bear fruit? It was when you came to Jesus and cast yourself on His great atonement and rested on His finished righteousness. What fruit you had then!

Do you remember those early days? Then the vine flourished, the tender grape appeared, the pomegranates budded, and the beds of spices produced their fragrance. Have you declined since then?

If you have, we charge you to remember that time of love, and repent, and do your first works. Commit yourself fully to the activities that you have proved to draw you closest to Christ, because it is from Him that all your fruits proceed.

Any holy activity that will bring you to Him will help you bear fruit. The sun is, no doubt, a great worker in fruit-creating among the trees of the orchard: And Jesus is even more so among the trees of His garden of grace.

When have you been the most fruitless? Has it not been when you have lived farthest from the Lord Jesus Christ, when you have slackened in prayer, when you have departed from the simplicity of your faith, when your graces have engrossed your attention instead of your Lord, when you have said, "My mountain stands firm, I will never be moved" and you have forgotten where your strength lies-has not it been then that your fruit has ceased?

Some of us have been taught that we have nothing apart from Christ by terrible humiliation of heart before the Lord; and when we have seen the utter emptiness and death of all earthly power, we have cried in anguish, "From Him all my fruit must be found, for no fruit can ever come from me."

We are taught by past experience that the more simply we depend upon the grace of God in Christ and wait upon the Holy Spirit, the more we will bring forth fruit unto God. We must trust Jesus for fruit as well as for life.

Never take for granted My intimate nearness. Marvel at the wonder of My continual Presence with you. Even the most ardent human lover cannot be with you always. Nor can another person know the intimacies of your heart, mind, and spirit. I know everything about you—even to the number of hairs on your head. You don’t need to work at revealing yourself to Me.

Many people spend a lifetime or a small fortune searching for someone who understands them. Yet I am freely available to all who call upon My Name, who open their hearts to receive Me as Savior. This simple act of faith is the beginning of a lifelong love story. I, the Lover of your soul, understand you perfectly and love you eternally. ~ Jesus Calling~

“Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”     —Luke 12:7

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.    —John 1:12

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”   —Romans 10:13

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night...

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night....

TONIGHT I PRAY THAT as you come to the Lord with all of your weaknesses both physical and spiritual, that you will be able to rest in the comfort of HIS Presence. Knowing that in your heart that nothing is impossible with Jesus.  I pray that as you pry your mind away from your problems, so you can recall all that our Father can do if only you allow Him to.  It is even more than you can even imagine!!!  Instead of trying to direct HIM to do this… Look and see what the Lord is already doing in your life. When the anxiety attempts to wedge its way into your thoughts, remind yourself that the Lord is your Shepherd.  He is taking care of you. Therefore there is nothing you should be afraid of. That the safest place for you to be is in HIS will, Word and Way for your life…   Walk in that Light, and faith!!! In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen.  I love you all!!!!  God bless you!!!

Word of the Day... Thanksgiving Day 2013....

Remembering to Say Thanks

Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!   —Psalm 107:8

In the Old Testament, we find an interesting story of how King Jehoshaphat took an uncommon approach when his enemies waged war against him. Instead of sending in his army first, he sent the choir and musicians.

Imagine the scene: "All right, guys, here's the plan today. An army is out there, armed to the teeth. So we are sending in the choir and the musicians." If I had been a choir member or musician, I might have wondered whether the king liked our music.

But God had directed Jehoshaphat in this unusual battle tactic. We read that Jehoshaphat appointed people to sing to the Lord, praise the beauty of holiness, and go out in front of the army saying, "Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever" (2 Chronicles 20:21).

So that is exactly what they did. The Bible tells us that when they began to sing and praise, God sent an ambush against the enemy, and they were destroyed. God's people were able to go into this situation giving thanks, because He was in control.

In approaching God to ask for new blessings, we should never forget to thank Him for the blessings He has already given.

Have you recently come to God for help and He came through for you? Did you come back to say "thank you"?

If we would stop and think how many of the prayers we have offered to God have been answered and how seldom we come back to God to thank Him, it just might amaze us. We should be just as deliberate in giving thanks to God as we are in asking for His help.

I hope that you take this to heart on this special day.  Our God is good all the time and we need to take time out to spend a little time with Jesus, in praise and with a thankful heart.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!  ♥♥♥

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

I Pray TONIGHT that you place all of your trust in Jesus.  Listen as He softly announces HIS Presence to you.  His shimmering radiance taps gently at your consciousness, seeking entrance.  That even through His great power that rules all of heaven and earth, you will feel His gentleness.  I Pray that as you put all of your hope in Him that you will be protected from self- pity and depression.  Hope in Him is like a golden cord that will connect you to heaven.  The more you cling to this cord, the more our Lord will bear your burdens; in doing so He will lighten your load.  He wants you to cast all of your cares on Him for He truly cares for you.  Cling to hope and His rays of light will reach out to you through the darkness and touch you.  When He does He will change your life together. Praise His holy name and thank the Lord as He fills with His spontaneous flow of joy!!! In Jesus name we pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!!♥♥♥

Standing By

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  —Romans 8:31

We tend to think that when we are in the will of God, the doors should fly open, birds should be singing, the sun should be shining, and everyone should be applauding. But it doesn't always work that way. Sometimes when we are in the will of God, so-called bad things happen. They seem bad, but in reality they might actually be good things.

I think sometimes that what we define as good may in fact be bad. And some of the things we think of as bad in turn will ultimately turn out to be good.

Acts 23:11 tells us that while Paul was in prison in Jerusalem, "The following night the Lord stood by him and said, 'Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.' "

Here is what God was saying: "Paul, look. I told you what was going to happen, and you went for it. And I want you to know that you are doing what I wanted you to do." You see, when a person is really walking with the Lord, it will impact other people. It will cause a reaction.

Paul felt that God wanted him to go to Jerusalem. The prophet Agabus warned him that if he went there, he would be arrested. Other believers begged him not to go. But Paul said, "What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus" (Acts 21:13).

So Paul went to Jerusalem, and sure enough, he was arrested and found himself in a prison cell. Yet God still had a future for Paul. And guess what? God has a future for you, too.  This word from Pastor Greg Laurie has a special meaning for me.  As I was diagnosed with lung cancer and was feeling so alone and hopeless, the Lord used that horrible illness to draw me closer to Him and to use it for His glory!!! It actually has become one of the greatest blessings in my life and has drawn all of my family into a closer walk with Jesus!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night....

Tonight I Pray that you realize that we can come to the Lord with a thankful heart even in the midst of tribulation and sorrow.  That we can face our trials with a power that others do not have…  The power of the Lord God!!! I pray that as we face those oncoming storms that we lean closer into Him so that He can help us to navigate our way through the storm. For it is when we put our trust in Him, we have the assurance that He will help us to endure the trial before us and discern His purpose for it so that we can grow into a more intimate walk with Him.

I pray that each of us can be like the eagle who has the ability to lock its joints and soar effortlessly on the updraft, instead of flapping his wings.  I pray that as we wait upon the Lord, that He will help us to use the winds of adversity to soar above our problems.  After all, God promises “Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; and mount up with wings like eagles”  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love you all!!!  God bless You!!!

God, Our Refuge
Truth For Life

The eternal God is your dwelling place.

Deuteronomy 33:27

Dwelling place" may be translated "refuge" or "abiding-place" and provides the thought that God is our abode, our home. There is a fullness and sweetness in the metaphor, for our home is dear to our hearts, although it may be the humblest cottage or the tiniest loft; and dearer still is our blessed God, in whom we live and move and have our being.

It is at home that we feel safe: We shut the world out and dwell in quiet security. So when we are with our God we fear no evil.

He is our shelter and retreat, our abiding refuge. At home we take our rest; it is there we find repose after the fatigue and toil of the day. And so our hearts find rest in God when, wearied with life's conflict, we turn to Him, and our soul dwells secure.

At home also we relax; we are not afraid of being misunderstood, nor of our words being misconstrued. So when we are with God we can commune freely with Him, laying open all our hidden desires; for if the Lord gives favor to the humble, then they may share their secrets with Him, confident in His love.

Home, too, is the place of our truest and purest happiness: And it is in God that our hearts find their deepest delight. We have joy in Him that far outweighs all other joy.

It is also for home that we work and labor. The thought of it gives strength to bear the daily burden, and quickens the hands to perform the task; and in this sense we may also say that God is our home.

Love for Him strengthens us. We think of Him in the person of His dear Son, and a glimpse of the suffering face of the Redeemer constrains us to work in His cause. We feel that we must work, for there are many still to be saved, and we desire to gladden our Father's heart by bringing home His wandering sons; we would fill with holy laughter the sacred family among whom we dwell. Happy then are those who have the God of Jacob for their refuge!  God Bless you!!!

Word of the Day... November 25,2013....

I am perpetually with you, taking care of you. That is the most important fact of your existence. I am not limited by time or space; My Presence with you is a forever-promise. You need not fear the future, for I am already there. When you make that quantum leap into eternity, you will find Me awaiting you in heaven. Your future is in My hands; I release it to you day by day, moment by moment. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow.

I want you to live this day abundantly, seeing all there is to see, doing all there is to do. Don’t be distracted by future concerns. Leave them to Me! Each day of life is a glorious gift, but so few people know how to live within the confines of today. Much of their energy for abundant living spills over the time line into tomorrow’s worries or past regrets. Their remaining energy is sufficient only for limping through the day, not for living it to the full. I am training you to keep your focus on My Presence in the present. This is how to receive abundant Life, which flows freely from My throne of grace.   ~Jesus Calling~

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”  —Matthew 6:34

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”  —John 10:10

Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”  —James 4:13–15

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night....

Tonight I Pray that you take everything to the Lord in prayer.  He is working on our behalf and truly cares about our concerns.  He is a Lord that counts our tears and that is just how much He truly loves us.  I pray that you feel the warmth and security of Him taking care of you on this night.

I pray that you put all of your trust in Him and I pray that you get a real hunger for His Word so that you will grow into a more intimate walk with Him.  I pray that you stop trying to do things under your own power and release every part of your life to Him.   For it is when you give everything to the Lord you are released to fall back into the security of His everlasting arms.  Stand on that faith in the Lord and allow Him to teach you His ways.  For when you take the time to search Him out through prayer and His Word He will be found by you and there is no greater treasure than that!!! In Jesus name I Pray, Amen and Amen…  I love You All!!!  God Bless You!!!

A Heavenly View

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.  —2 Corinthians 4:16–17

In his final words to the elders of the church at Ephesus, Paul essentially laid down the principles that really mattered to him and said the desire of his heart was to finish his race with joy (see Acts 19:24). It was an emotional good-bye, and Paul left, sailing on to Caesarea. When he arrived there he stayed with the evangelist Philip, where he encountered the prophet Agabus. Agabus tied his own hands and feet with Paul's belt and warned him, "Thus says the Holy Spirit, 'So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles' " (Acts 21:11). In other words, "Don't go. Danger is waiting."

Paul responded and said, "What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus" (verse 13).

Now, what kind of a statement is that? That is the statement of a man who has been to heaven (see 2 Corinthians 12:2). Paul left this earth, went into the presence of God, and was called back to the earth again. That is why Paul was able to say that he had "a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better" (Philippians 1:23).

If you had been to heaven, it would change everything about you. It would change the way you see everything and the way you respond to everything. And certainly, it would change the way you view death.

I don't think that Paul had a death wish, but I do think he recognized that what was waiting for him on the other side was far better than what he was experiencing. The same can be true for you and me.  This is a great teaching by Pastor Greg Laurie.  What a great way to start my Sunday!!!  I hope that you are all blessed by it!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night…

I PRAY TONIGHT that you are not afraid, for He is your strength. I pray that you ask the Holy Spirit to immerse you in His power and His Love.  I pray that as He comes in and upon you that your walk with the Lord shall be changed forever!!!  His power is unlimited, and as you give all of yourself to Him, your consecrated weakness will draw His power to your neediness.  I pray you stand on your faith in the Lord and do not allow fear to stand between you and the Lover of your soul!!!

Fear can block the flow of His strength into you. Instead of trying to fight your fears, concentrate on putting all of your trust into HIM. When you relate to Him in confident trust, there is no limit to how much He will strengthen you.   He is your Helper the One who will teach you to pray and give you a mighty hunger for His Word!!!

As He makes your prayer life stronger and draws your loved ones back to Him in these last days. I pray that you sing out to Him with praises and thanksgiving!!!  He is your song and He will share His joy, peace and His blessed Presence with you. I pray that you journey with Him towards heaven.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!!♥♥♥

Word of the Day.... November 23, 2013...

I am with you and all around you, encircling you in golden rays of Light. I always behold you Face to face. Not one of your thoughts escapes My notice. Because I am infinite, I am able to love you as if you and I were the only ones in the universe.

Walk with Me in intimate Love-steps, but do not lose sight of My Majesty. I desire to be your closest Friend, yet I am also your sovereign Lord. I created your brain with capacity to know Me as Friend and Lord simultaneously. The human mind is the pinnacle of My creation, but so few use it for its primary purpose—knowing Me. I communicate continually through My Spirit, My Word, and My creation. Only humans are capable of receiving Me and responding to My Presence. You are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made!    ~ Jesus Calling~

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.    —Psalm 34:4–7

We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”   —2 Peter 1:16–17

“Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”    —John 17:3

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.    —Psalm 139:14

Word of the Day... November 22, 2013...

The story of David and Goliath in 1 Samuel 17 is a story of perspective—the perspective of faith versus the perspective of fear and pessimism. King Saul and his army were frightened, but David's perspective enabled him to encourage them: "Let no man's heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine" (v.32).

That's why it's great to be around people of faith. They lift us up. Faith is contagious—but so is pessimism. Ten of the 12 spies sent out by Moses discouraged the people with stories of giants in the land, while Joshua and Caleb said the Israelites could overcome them. And the ten prevailed.

David had big faith. He said, "The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine" (v. 37). Where did he get this almost reckless confidence in God? Simple: David had seen God vanquish lesser enemies in the past, so he figured, "If God could do that, I'm ready for giants now."

You don't start out in life slaying giants. You begin with lions and bears, with the daily hassles that come to you. How you handle those will tell a lot about how you'll handle something big in the future. If you flunk lesser classroom tests, you're going to flunk "Giants 101." But if you can handle lions and bears, you'll do fine with giants.

Jeremiah said to the people of Israel, "If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses?" (Jeremiah 12:5). If you can't handle it when it's easier, you won't be able to handle it when it's a lot bigger.

Faith and perspective are developed by lesser battles, as David demonstrated. He told Goliath, "This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand...for the battle is the Lord's" (vv. 46-47). David's perspective was to compare the size of the giant to the size of God.

If you're going to kill giants, you need a healthy view of the size of your God, not your enemy. You have to realize He's the God who created the heavens and the earth, and there's nothing that's too hard for Him (see Jeremiah 32:17). Martin Luther had it right when he said, "With God, one is a majority."

What kind of people will face the giants in their lives—the difficult sins, the fears and insecurities? People who have a healthy view of the size of their God. People who are prepared by God with the aptitudes He has given them and who are actively serving Him right now. People who have seen God deliver against lesser enemies in the past.

It doesn't begin on the battlefield; it begins in the sheepfold, the daily stuff of life. So face the challenges in your life now so that when something more intimidating comes along you'll remember how faithful God has been already. You serve The Mighty God. Have confidence, not in sword or in shield, but in Him. "For the battle is the Lord's" and "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4).

I really enjoyed this insightful teaching from Pastor Skip Heitzig.  He is so right.  The Lord meets us right where we are in our everyday life.  Start with the little tasks and He will give us larger ones to depend on Him for.  The stronger we grow as a Christian the more we realize our need for Jesus in all areas of our life.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!!! With this in mind, ask the Lord what He has for you to do today.  Then stand on that faith in God and do it.  Can you even imagine how the Lord could rock this world if every Christian shared the love of Jesus Christ with one person today?  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night….

TONIGHT I PRAY that all of us give up the illusion of a problem free life and that we come to the resolution that we live in a fallen world and we will face difficulties in this life.  I pray that we remember this is NOT our home we are only visiting here and very soon our Father will call us home.  In the meantime I pray that we pour our energy into seeking the Lord for He is the Perfect One. He will understand you when no one else seems to.  I pray that you don’t allow the hardships of this life to pull you away from Jesus and having a thankful heart. When we are thankful it takes the sting out of hardships and opens our heart to His Presence!!! It is the warmth of His love that will light our path to home with Him. Rest in that love that will never leave us or forsake us!!! In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night......

TONIGHT I PRAY that the love of God would cover and heal you in every wounded place that the enemy would try to operate through vulnerabilities! Lord, pour out your love and power over every seed planted of bitterness, indignation, wrath, and resentment from relationships that have ended in strife, anger, rejection, and separation! You are the One who binds and heals the brokenhearted. Let Your anointing destroy every yoke in the name of Jesus! I declare emotional healing and wholeness over you by the unconditional love and acceptance of God! MAY YOU FEEL HIS PRESENCE NOW!! Walk in the warmth of HIS LIGHT!!!! In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen.  I Love you all… God bless you!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day...November 21, 2013....

"OPEN YOUR MIND AND HEART--your entire being--to receive My Love in full measure. So many of My children limp through their lives starved for Love, because they haven't learned the art of receiving. This is essentially an act of faith: believing that I love you with boundless, everlasting Love. The art of receiving is also a discipline: training your mind to trust Me, coming close to Me with confidence.

Remember that the evil one is the father of lies. Learn to recognize his deceptive into your thoughts. One of his favorite deceptions is to undermine your confidence in My unconditional Love. Fight back against these lies! Do not let them go unchallenged. Resist the devil in My Name, and he will slink away from you. Draw near to Me, and My Presence will envelope you in Love."   ~ Jesus Calling~

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the [a]saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. ~Ephesians 3:16-19~

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. ~Hebrews 4:14-16~

You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. ~John 8:44~

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded
~ James 4:7-8 ~

Word of the Day.... November 20, 2013...

What We Receive
The Truth, Alistair Begg

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord… Walk in Him…  Colossians 2:6

The life of faith is represented as receiving-an act that implies the very opposite of anything like merit. It is simply the acceptance of a gift.

As the earth drinks in the rain, as the sea receives the streams, as night accepts light from the stars, so we, giving nothing, partake freely of the grace of God. The believers are not by nature wells or streams; they are just cisterns into which the living water flows; they are empty vessels into which God pours His salvation.

The idea of receiving implies a sense of realization, making the matter a reality. One cannot very well receive a shadow; we receive that which is substantial: So is it in the life of faith-Christ becomes real to us.

Until we come to faith, Jesus is just a name to us-a person who lived a long time ago, so long ago that His life is only a history to us now! By an act of faith Jesus becomes a real person in the consciousness of our heart. But receiving also means grasping or getting possession of. The thing that I receive becomes my own: I appropriate to myself that which is given.

When I receive Jesus, He becomes my Savior, so much so that neither life nor death will be able to rob me of Him. All this is to receive Christ-to take Him as God's free gift, to realize Him in my heart, and to appropriate Him as mine.

Salvation may be described as the blind receiving sight, the deaf receiving hearing, the dead receiving life; but we have not only received these blessings-we have received Christ Jesus Himself. It is true that He gave us life from the dead.

He gave us pardon from sin; He gave us imputed righteousness. These are all precious things, but we are not content with them; we have received Christ Himself. The Son of God has been poured into us, and we have received Him and appropriated Him. What a heart-full Jesus must be, for heaven itself cannot contain Him!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night....

Tonight I pray that the Lord will bless you as you thank Him through the storms of your life.  That He will blanket you with His peace and you will become aware of His Presence in your life.  I pray that as you release your worries to Him, it will clear the way for you to seek His face unhindered.  Let Him free you from the fear hiding deep inside you. Sit quietly in His Presence and allow His warm light to soak into you and drive out all of the darkness inside you. That your thankful attitude will open the windows of heaven and His blessings will fall upon you through those openings into eternity. In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!!♥♥♥

His Loving Presence
"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."  —Isaiah 43:2–3

Have you ever felt as though everyone has let you down? Have you ever felt abandoned or forgotten or forsaken?  When I read this I couldn’t help but think every one of us has gone through this at one time or another in our lives.

Paul the apostle felt that way. Imprisoned at Jerusalem, Paul must have been feeling discouraged, because we read in Acts 23:11, "The following night the Lord stood by him and said, 'Be of good cheer, Paul.' " God reminded him that he was not alone.

The great British preacher C. H. Spurgeon put it this way:

If all else forsook him, Jesus was company enough; if all despised him, Jesus' smile was patronage enough; if the good cause seemed in danger, in the presence of His Master, victory was sure. The Lord who had stood for him at the cross, now stood by him in prison. . . . It was a dungeon, but the Lord was there; it was dark, but the glory of the Lord lit it up with heaven's own splendour.

It comes down to this: I would rather be in a jail or in a storm or in a hardship with Jesus than anywhere else without Him. Better yet, I would rather be in a nice, happy place with Jesus—that is good too. But the thing is, He is with us wherever we go. That is what the Lord was saying to Paul: "You are not alone."

God says, "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. . . . For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior" (Isaiah 43:2–3).

He is with us in the good times, and He is also with us in the bad times. And as someone wisely said, "He can compensate by His loving presence for every earthly loss." Thanks Pastor Greg for another great devotional.  Have a Simply Heavenly day!

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night....

Tonight I Pray that whenever you feel distant from Jesus, whisper HIS name. For it is when you do this you are putting all of your trust in Him and this will help you to restore your awareness of His Holy Presence.  In this fallen world that we live in so many people claim to not believe in Him but use His name in cursing every day. I pray that we bless the Lord at all times; that we allow His praise to be continually on our lips, so that our souls can boast in the Lord! I pray that as we fellowship with others we will magnify the Lord and exalt His name together!!!  I pray that the Holy Spirit will move within us all and teach us that there is no fear in His Love which shines on each one of us continually.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen…  I Love You All!!!  God Bless You!!! ♥♥♥

Word of the Day... November 19, 2013....

Relax in My everlasting arms. Your weakness is an opportunity to grow strong in awareness of My Almighty Presence. When your energy fails you, do not look inward and lament the lack you find there. Look to Me and My sufficiency; rejoice in My radiant riches that are abundantly available to help you.

Go gently through this day, leaning on Me and enjoying My Presence. Thank Me for your neediness, which is building trust-bonds between us. If you look back on your journey thus far, you can see that days of extreme weakness have been some of your most precious times. Memories of these days are richly interwoven with golden strands of My intimate Presence. ~Jesus Calling~

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, “Destroy him!”
—Deuteronomy 33:27

I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
—Psalm 27:13–14

Word Of The Day.... November 17, 2013...

When I read this I knew that I was going to share it.  Pastor Skip Heitzig is an amazing man of God and he is a gifted communicator.  I hope that you glean as much from this as I did.

You've probably heard this one: If you drop a frog into a kettle of boiling water, it will jump out. But if the water is room temperature, you can turn the heat up very slowly and the frog will stay there and be boiled to death.

We live in a world that exerts a tremendous influence upon us. Whether we realize it or not, we are constantly inundated with messages, lifestyles, and examples that are opposed to the truth. And that same situation the frog was in, with the temperature slowly rising, is what Christians face in the world.

Our culture and our world strive to change us into a worldly church, an accommodating church, one that reflects the same morals, values, and standards as the world. So are we moving the world, or is the world moving us?

Here's a concrete example: England. At one time, Christianity so inundated that nation that it influenced the political and family structure. Laws were made based upon the centrality of the spiritual community, and it was a great missionary-sending country.

Now it's become a mission field where it is estimated that only two percent of the British population is considered Christian. More churches are being turned into mosques than fellowships are started that preach the gospel. Like a frog in a kettle, the church has withered and died. A friend of mine who went there to start a church said it's the hardest area he's ever seen in his life.

Acts 17:16-34 tells the story of the injection of the antidote, as Paul the apostle comes into the worldly, pagan culture of Athens. Athens was the artistic and philosophical center of the world, but Paul wasn't the kind to do the tourist thing and take pictures of the Acropolis and try the Greek food.

Paul reasoned with people in the synagogue (with the religious) and the marketplace (with the people) and the Areopagus (with the political thinkers). He had no canned approach; he came to them, looked at their culture, found out what they were into, and preached the gospel to them on that basis. His message to the elites (vv. 22-31) was masterful, introducing them to "the unknown God" (v. 23) and this central concern: "God commands everyone everywhere to repent" (v. 30).

By the way, religious people are often the hardest to reach. Tell a religious non-Christian, "You need to repent," and their feathers get ruffled. You'll get lots of excuses like, "I've been going to church all my life."

You have to take them back to the central issue: their relationship to God, not church, not what their grandma did, not the tithes they pay, not how big their Bible is. "Do you know God? He commands everyone everywhere to repent. Have you repented?" It's a question of turning around and surrendering to God.

To move the world, while not letting it move you, learn how to see the world with compassion, beyond the veneer of the culture. Look at them with the eyes of Jesus, who was moved with compassion for people (see Matthew 9:36).

You will experience the same reactions to the message that Paul did (Acts 17:32-34). Some will reject. Some will reflect, and say, "Not now." And some will receive. But throw the net out and see what God brings in. Move the world; don't let it move you.

This really makes me stop to think about just how much of the world do I allow to come between Jesus and I.  I want the Holy Spirit to moving inside of me and not the world.  (1 John 2:15) Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

I don’t know about you, but I never want to be at this place where I am loving the world more than Jesus.  I find that the more I tune out the world and tune in to the Holy Spirit I begin to grow stronger as a Christian.  Truth be told.  It is subtle but you can feel Him leading you.

It could be out of a theater that blasphemes Him, it could be away from friends who are gossiping and talking trash.  Sometimes it can even be the choice of music you have tuned on in your car.  If the tune is nice we all just start singing.  But have you taken the time to really listen to the words? Like Pastor said move the world.  Don’t allow the world to move you.  I hope you have a Simply Heavenly Sunday…

Your Love Guard Me Through The Night.....

I Pray TONIGHT that you experience the Power and Victory of the Lord in every area of your life! That the power of the Holy Spirit will flow freely into the weak ones that are aware of their need for You Lord. I bind, plunder and render to naught every strongman assigned to you, your family, your finances and your purpose in the name of Jesus! Let all evil transmitting your progress to the world of darkness receive blindness in the name of Jesus. I declare supernatural breakthroughs - that the Lord would reveal heavens strategy and show you dreams and vision that would cause your advance! GO FORWARD BLESSED!! In Jesus name I pray,  Amen and Amen!!!  I love you all!!!  God bless you!!! ♥♥

Just in Time

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.  —1 Corinthians 10:13

In her book, The Hiding Place, Nazi concentration camp survivor Corrie ten Boom recalls the story of how, as a young girl, she struggled with the prospect of having loved ones die.

Her father wisely took her aside and asked, "Corrie, when you and I go to Amsterdam—when do I give you your ticket?"

"Why, just before we get on the train."

"Exactly," her father said. "And our wise Father knows when we're going to need things, too. Don't run ahead of Him, Corrie. When the time comes that some of us will have to die, you will look into your heart and find the strength you need—just in time."

Sometimes we wonder, What if I am tested above my ability to endure? What if I am tempted above my capacity to resist? You never will be because God knows your breaking point. As far as temptation goes, 1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us, "God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure." There is always a way out. Sometimes it is as simple as the door.

But what if God sends me a trial that I can't get through? Often I talk to people who are going through very difficult suffering, and I ask myself, Would I have the attitude they have if I were going through that? Here is my response: If God would ask me to do it, then He would give me the strength to do it.

God will give you the strength to face what you have to face. You will have what you need when you need it. So don't worry about it. Just trust God. He is in control. Thank you Pastor Greg for this devotional  it really spoke to my heart.

I was at this place where I thought I was being tested more than I could handle when the Lord allowed me to get lung cancer.  It was through this dreaded killer disease that I found a very real walk with Jesus!  It was in the midst of hell that HE met right where I was and filled me with His joy! I am four years lung cancer free and I give all of the glory to the Lord Jesus Christ!!!  Have a Simply Heavenly day!!!
