Word of the Day... June 8, 2013

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2

God tells us that we are to be imitators of Him.  We are to be copycats of Jesus Christ.  That makes so much sense to me, since He is God in the flesh. Though He was fully God He was also fully man.  He felt every feeling and emotion that we have, yet He never sinned.  Everything He did while on earth was pleasing to the Father.

So how do we become pleasing to the Lord?  Are we open to Him?  Do we have a teachable spirit? I think the very first step is to be in His Word.  When we visit Jesus He blesses us and leads us where He wants us to be.

When Jesus walked the earth we see that He spent a lot of time in prayer.  Many times I have read in the Bible that He would leave the crowd to go and pray.  That is what we should do as well.  Take some time out every day to spend in prayer.  Talk to the Lord.  Tell Him what is on your heart.  He will help you if you allow Him to.

Are you open to change in your life? Are you willing to risk? Are you flexible enough to innovate? Are you willing change the direction of your  life?

It may mean moving across the street. It may mean moving across the States. It may mean moving around the world. It may not include a move at all only a willingness to serve the Lord and be in His will and way for your life.  God bless you!!!
