Word of the Day.... June 6,2013

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.   Ephesians 6:12

Have any of you been experiencing spiritual warfare like I have lately?  Every Christian that I have been talking to has been telling me their stories on how difficult their walks with the Lord are right now.

I think that Satan knows that his time left is very limited so he is pouring it on trying to pull us all away from Jesus.  However we need to remember that Jesus didn’t leave us as orphans.  Oh no He left us His Holy Spirit and His Word.

The Bible tells us that when the Holy Spirit has come upon us we shall receive power and we shall be His witnesses (Acts 1:8). When we are totally submitted to Jesus Christ and His will, we will feel His power come through us.  That is how Peter the weak became Peter the Rock.

We can be as weak as little lambs, but when we put on the full armor of God we will be strong, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17).

When we put on that full Armor of God and follow the example that Jesus set for us when He was tempted by Satan, he must flee from us!  I taught my grandson how do literally put on his full armor almost like a game, so that when he walks out of this house and into the world he will have the most powerful protection with him.  The Holy Spirit and that gives me the blessed assurance that I need to have a Simply Heavenly day.  God bless you!!!
