Word of the Day... May 14, 2013

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

When we think of VIP we think of “Very Important Person.”  But I think that we as Christians can use this as a character test.

The “V” would stand for vision.  Where there is no vision, the people perish: "but he that keeps the law, He is happy" (Proverbs 29:18). As Christians we should be able to see what needs to be done and take everything to the Lord in prayer. He can show us what needs to be done and how we are going to accomplish the task. When we are in His Word, will and way the Holy spirit will flow through us and through Him we can accomplish all things.

The “I” would stand for integrity.  This is a person who is the same on the outside as they appear on the inside, someone who does the right thing when no one is watching them- just because it is the right thing to do.

The “P” would stand for Presence.  God’s Presence in our lives.  It is only through the saving power of Jesus Christ that we find our purpose for life,  both here and eternally.  It is when we are truly grateful for all that the Lord has done, that HIS Presence will shine  brightly through us in all circumstances. When we put the Lord first, the Holy Spirit can completely take over and lead us where He wants us to be. When this happens, we will experience the true joy!

So keep your commitments to the Lord and become a real VIP – A person with Vision… Integrity… and God’s real Presence in your life.  When you do this you will begin to experience the Simply Heavenly joy of the Lord in your life!  God bless you!!! :):):)
