Word of the Day... April 12, 2013

and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.” 2 Peter 3:4

I love to study prophecy in the Bible and the fact that prophecy makes up one third of the Bible I think it is well worth studying.  I believe that Jesus is coming back very soon.  When I say this I get a variety of reactions.  Some get upset and scared. Then there are many people who laugh and mock me and I just tell them that they are fulfilling Bible prophecy right now with their mocking attitude.

They only need to look up the Scripture in 2 Peter 3:3-4 which says:

"Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, 'What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.' "

It is absolutely true that we have heard this message before that Jesus is coming soon.  But there has never been a time in the history of the world that all of the signs are all happening at the same time. The great falling away from the church and the false teachings taking place in the churches that focus on what the people want to hear instead of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His sound doctrine. The earthquakes, strange weather, sink holes, animals dying at an alarming rate, storms and the escalation of wars all over the world. The push for global unity.  The dramatic change in world economics that is the beginning of the move to change us into a cashless society.  Just ten years ago we could never imagine these things happening all at once.

What is the significance of so many of these signs coming to pass in our time exactly as the Bible said they would?  Are we the generation that will see the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ?  The Bible says that it is very much like a woman having labor pains (1 Thessalonians 5:3).  If you have ever seen a woman in labor or been in labor yourself you know that the pains get more intense and increase in frequency until the baby is born.

There may be some disagreement  among Christians about the order of prophetic events,  but there is one simple truth that can no longer be argued among real Believers.  Jesus is coming whether you are ready or not.

I, too believe we are living in the end times and have for some time. It is clear that we will not know specifically when, so I will pay no heed to the dates people are predicting in the media, but I know HE is coming!

Amen Bekah the Bible tells us no one know the day or hour, but we should know the season and we are so in the season. God bless you!!!! :):)
