Word of the Day..... February 6, 2013

Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done,
And Your thoughts toward us;
There is none to compare with You.
If I would declare and speak of them,
They would be too numerous to count. Psalm 40:5

One of the things that I love so much about the Lord is how He thinks about us.  It is amazing to me that God is thinking of me. And yet we are told here that His thoughts towards us cannot be counted. God is continually thinking about you, His child.

Psalm 139:17-18 says that God's thoughts towards us are more than the grains of sand by the seashore. He is the Lord over all creation, yet He is so mindful of each of His creatures. Jesus said that He cares about the hairs of your head and the sparrows that fall (Luke 12:5-6). He is thinking about you now.

Sometimes I think He just wants us to breathe Him in, so that He can bless and restore us.  Lift up empty hands of faith to receive His precious Presence. The Light, Life, Joy, and Peace that will flow freely from the Holy Spirit when we turn our focus to Him. Today I am just going to rest in Him and be blessed!

Today is such a special day for me.  It is my only daughter Jean's birthday and she is one of the greatest gifts that the Lord has ever blessed me with. I want her to know how greatly she is loved.  Not only by the Lord, but by all of us who have had the privilege to know her.  The light that she has brought into my life is warm and bright and I cannot imagine my life without her in it.

 I wish all of God’s blessings on her today.  That He watches over her and blesses her life, her son and all that she does in this life.  That He meets all of her needs in every area of her life and that she will hold tightly to His hand and walk with Him, knowing that He will always be an ever present help in trouble and a warm light to guide her in this journey, trusting that the path she is following is the one that will her closer to the lover of her soul.  In Jesus name, I pray this for her, Amen. I hope that all of you have a Simply Heavenly Day!!!!
