Word of the Day... February 5, 2013

33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

As Christians one of the most valuable lessons that we will ever learn is there are no hopeless situations, only people who have grown hopeless in their situations. At the heart of life's major struggles is the question, is God large and in charge or not?

I went through this in the middle of chemotherapy. What I thought was going to be hell on earth, turned out to be days where I was filled with so much joy, I simply couldn't contain it. The Holy Spirit came to me and filled me so full with his joy I wept! It was amazing, cleansing, and it set me free!!!! I wept, I laughed, and I never felt so loved in my life.

Here I was all alone in a hospital room with poison pouring into my veins and I was free! I knew that no matter what happened nothing could keep me from my Lord! Not this disease, not this world, Jesus is right there with me. In the fire with me I didn't have to be afraid any more. He was my Bridge. No one else could see Him, but I knew He was there, large and in charge.

Life can get scary and sometimes we can't see through the fog. It is in those times we need to stand on our faith in Jesus Christ. He is our Bridge in midst of the fog and all we have to do is hold his hand and let Him lead us into the light of His love!!!

I hope you all have a Simply Heavenly day!!!  God bless you!!!
