Word of the Day.... January 5, 2013

Light Bearers
14 Do everything without complaining and arguing, 15 so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Philippians 2:14-15

"Do all things without complaining and disputing." Wouldn't you like to put that up in your kid’s bedroom? But it isn't just kids who have a problem with this. They learned from their parents.

Many non-Christians see Christians as people were always complaining and fighting, even among themselves. But we are in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, and we should be showing them what great attitudes we have as Christians so that they can see we are children of God, shining of the lights in a very dark world.

I can't tell you how many people I know who tell me “The last thing I want to be is a Christian.  They are such Hypocrites.”  What unbelievers fail to understand is we are still people and we still make mistakes. The only thing that makes us different from unbelievers, is we have Jesus to run to. We know how great his love is and how very blessed we are to have his forgiveness.

We need to be about our Father's business now sharing His love with a dying world. Not just giving it lip service, but really living it. Every time we leave the house we should not be hiding our light under a rock, we should be letting it shine for everyone to see.  “Giving them heaven." When they see us, they should want what we have. Think about it...  I hope you all have a Simply Heavenly weekend. God bless you!!!
