4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great
love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions,
made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised
us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace
in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved
through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a
result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that
we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:4-9
Grace is amazing!
It frees us from condemnation of the law and the tyranny of pleasing
people and adjusting our lives to the demands and expectations of human
opinion. It gives relief and the enjoyment of freedom along with all its
benefits. It silences needless guilt and removes self-imposed shame.
Grace is the gift that the Lord gives to us freely. They didn’t need the rope to tie Jesus arms
to that cross. He climbed on that cross
willingly for each and every one of us. The
death of Jesus Christ was not an accident but an act of devotion to us. You can
call it simple. Call it a gift. But don’t ever call it easy. Call it what it is: Simply Grace.
I hope that as all of you go out today, take just a
moment to stop and just say thank you Jesus!!!
For His greatest gift that we never deserved. Have a Simply Heavenly Day!!!
