Word of the Day July 31, 2012

Never take for granted My intimate nearness.  Marvel at the wonder of My continual Presence with you.  Even the most ardent human lover cannot be with you always.  Nor can another person know the intimacies of your heart, mind, and spirit.  I know everything about you even to the number of hairs on your head.  You don't need to work at revealing yourself to Me.  Many people spend a lifetime and a small fortune searching for someone who will understand them.  Yet I am freely available to all who call upon My Name, who open their hearts to receive Me as Savior.  This simple act of faith is the beginning of a life long love story.  I, the lover of your soul, understand you perfectly and love you eternally.

8 “I tell you the truth, everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, the Son of Man will also acknowledge in the presence of God’s angels. 9 But anyone who denies me here on earth will be denied before God’s angels. Luke 12:8-9

Pressing toward the Goal
12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:12-14

Jesus is your gateway to the heavenly Father. Without Him, access is denied. That is why it is so important that you receive Him as your Lord and Savior. Jesus is the bridge to the Father's love and when you connect with Him, you have access to every blessing promised in His Word (Acts 17:28).

A Great Teaching On The Holy Spirit by John MacArthur...

I love this teaching from John MacArthur.  A very Bible based teaching on the Holy Spirit today and how many groups are committing blasphemy.  As a Christian we need to get into the Word so that we can live our lives with Jesus Christ as the center and not men.  Use the Word of God as our handbook for these last days so that we will not be deceived, but grow strong as men and women of God.

Love and Joy Perfected
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another.  John 15:9-17

Morning Has Broken.....

As you get out of bed in the morning, be aware of My Presence with you. You may not be thinking clearly yet, but I am. Your early morning thoughts tend to be anxious ones until you get connected with Me. Invite Me into your thoughts by whispering My Name. Suddenly your day brightens and feels more user-friendly. You cannot dread a day that is vibrant with My Presence.

You gain confidence through knowing that I am with you—that you face nothing alone. Anxiety stems from asking the wrong question: “If such and such happens, can I handle it?” The true question is not whether you can cope with whatever happens, but whether you and I together can handle anything that occurs. It is this you-and-I-together factor that gives you confidence to face the day cheerfully.

In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
—Psalm 5:3

O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.
—Psalm 63:1 NKJ

I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
—Philippians 4:13 –

This is my devotional today from Jesus Calling.  It has blessed me so much that I wanted to share it with all of you.  It really speaks to my heart.  I hope that all of you have a blessed and wonderful day today!!!

13For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently. 1 cor. 10:13 AMP

I Am Always With You......

I am much nearer then you think present in all of your moments.  You are connected to Me by a love that nothing can sever.  However, sometimes you may feel alone, because your union with Me is invisible.  Never doubt that I am with you.  If you look closely you will find Me in every part of your life.  When you truly became  aware of this you will become the more secure you will feel.  Being with Me is not an escape from reality, but in actuality it is the ultimate reality.  I am far more real then the world you can hear, see, and touch.  Faith is the confirmation of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality, perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.

27 “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. 28 For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ Acts 17:27-28

Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].Hebrews 11:1

5 But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 1John  4:4-6

Operator, Information... Get me Jesus on the Line...

But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. – Psalms 13:5

Happy Sunday everyone!!!  I love this scripture so very much because it is the truth.  Jesus rescues me from myself every single day.  I love the fact that I can go to Him every morning and be filled to overflowing in His Spirit, so that I will have the strength to go out into the world and be His little light.  We all need to find our own little quiet place where we can be alone with Jesus daily.  We need to not only spend time with Him through His Word, but we need to talk to Him as well.  Our prayers are honored in heaven as precious jewels and God is listening to us.  Our words do not stop until they reach the very throne of God.

When we pray, it activates God's power in heaven, and God's will is done on earth as it is in Heaven.  The Bible tells us this....  Our prayers move God to change the world.  We may not understand it, but that is okay.  We don't need to understand it. Actions in heaven begin with one little prayer here on earth. We just need to find a quiet time every day and turn off the TV, cell phone and  get on our knees and talk to Jesus. There was an old song in the 80's by the Manhattan Transfer that we used to sing all the time that I love and one of the verses goes like this:
Operator, information give me Jesus on the line.
Operator, information I’d like to speak to a friend of mine.

Oh Prayer is the number and faith is the exchange
Heaven is the street and Jesus is His name.
Operator, information please give me Jesus on the line.

Prayer is the number and faith is the exchange and all we have to do is call upon Jesus name and He not only hears us.  He is faithful to answer us!!!  I hope that all of you have a wonderful and blessed week!!!

Word of the Day.. July 14, 2012

I want you to experience the riches of your salvation: the Joy of being loved constantly and perfectly. You make a practice of judging yourself, based on how you look or behave or feel. If you like what you see in the mirror, you feel a bit more worthy of My Love. When things are going smoothly and your performance seems adequate, you find it easier to believe you are My beloved child. When you feel discouraged, you tend to look inward so you can correct whatever is wrong.

Instead of trying to “fix” yourself, fix your gaze on Me, the Lover of your soul. Rather than using your energy to judge yourself, redirect it to praising Me. Remember that I see you clothed in My righteousness, radiant in My perfect Love.

In order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
—Ephesians 2:7–8

Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.
—Hebrews 3:1

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

JESUS was despised and rejected by men, therefore, we are accepted in the Beloved.
JESUS was A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, so that we have supernatural joy and comfort.
JESUS was despised, so that we are loved eternally.
JESUS was wounded for OUR transgressions, so that we are eternally forgiven and seen as righteous by God, our Father.
JESUS was bruised for our iniquities; so that God our Father sees us as pure and spotless.
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, so that we can have peace that passes all understanding.
And by JESUS’ stripes we are healed, so that we walk in health, strength, and restoration.
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the POWER of God!!! 1 Corinthians 1:18

3 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. 4 Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live.  Galatians 1:3-4

God desired to provide a way of reconciliation for us. This could only be done through His Son Jesus. Out of His love for us and obedience to His Father, Jesus died and paid the penalty for our sins. So rejoice you believers! Rejoice in the road to heaven paved with the grace and mercy of the heavenly throne!

But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  John 14:26
Jesus promised us the Holy Spirit. He describes Him as the Counselor or Paraclete (the One that comes alongside to encourage). The Holy Spirit is sent from the Father (in Jesus' name) and one of His ministry is to teach us all things and to remind us of what Christ has told us.

The Holy Spirit Will Wash Over Us...

I hope that all of you are having a wonderful day!  I was so blessed this morning when I was out walking and talking to the Lord, He reminded me of how strong we can be as a body.  As many of you know I have a blog on Tumblr, where I am a Grandma to many wonderful young people.  Sometimes they just need to talk to someone who has been there before them and I feel so blessed when I can help.  I always try to use the Bible and incorporate it in my answer.  I truly believe that as a Christian the Bible is our handbook for these last days.

Many of my young people have told me that when trouble comes their way they begin to doubt their walk with God because there faith seems so shallow.  I like to remind them to put on the full armor of God. I love how the Lord gives us everything we need through his Word.  The Bible says:
The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[c] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.  Ephesians 6: 10-20
I heard an old preacher tell us a story about the Roman guard.  How they used to put olive oil on their shields so that it would make the metal so bright that it would blind their adversaries.  When they would come up to a stronghold they would all stand together and lift their shields so that none of the stones that the enemy was throwing at them would hit them.

I thought wow we could learn so much from this.  Oil for Christians is the Holy spirit and when we get a crack in our faith their is nothing better then to have a whole group of Christians stand together in prayer with you to fill in the cracks in your faith until you grow stronger.  There is so much power in prayer.  When the Wind of the Holy spirit begins to blow it can work a mighty miracle.  I had a crack in my faith when I was diagnosed with lung cancer.  My sisters and brothers in Christ stood with me in prayer and I am free from that cancer because of my healing Jesus!!!

So when you feel like you can't go on, that you are weak and scared.  Take the hand that your brothers and sisters offer and lift all of your cares to Jesus Christ.  Where your world was dark, you will begin to see a speck of light break through.   Then that speck will get bigger and bigger until it fills you to overflowing!!!

Word of the Day..... July 5 2012

I AM ABOVE ALL THINGS:  your problems, your pain, and the swirling events in this ever changing world.  When you behold My face, you rise above the circumstances and rest with Me in heavenly realms.  This is the way of peace, living in the light of My Presence.  I guarantee that you will always have problems in this life, but they must not become your focus.  When you feel yourself sinking in the sea of circumstances, say “Help me Jesus!” and I will draw you back to Me. If you have to say that thousands of times daily, don’t be discouraged.  I know your weakness and I meet you in that very place.
