Word of the Day... May 30, 2012

7 Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return.
Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt.
8 So don’t bother correcting mockers;
    they will only hate you.
But correct the wise,
    and they will love you.
9 Instruct the wise,
and they will be even wiser.
Teach the righteous,
and they will learn even more.

10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom.
Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.

11 Wisdom will multiply your days
and add years to your life.
12 If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit.
If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer. Proverbs 9:7-12

When Temptation Comes... Run away From It...

Trials are never easy things to go through. So why does God allow us to go through them? I think it's because He wants us to discover that God will meet us in the midst of our temptation. In the beginning, when Eve was tempted in the garden, her sin wasn't just in her eating of the apple, it was in not turning to God. When she ate the apple and then offered some of it to Adam, they realized that they had sinned against the Lord and felt shame and guilt. Then the blame game started.  Eve blamed the serpent and Adam blamed Eve.  Then when God asked Adam about the sin he blamed God for giving him Eve in the first place. I have to ask myself how different things might have been if Adam and Eve had fallen on their knees before God and admitted their sin and asked Him for forgiveness.  They never did that.

Temptation causes us to lose our perspective on things. When we see something that we really want, it is all we can think about.  We become obsessed with it.  This obsession is lust and lust leads to sin and sin leads to death.  I mean think about it, Adam and Eve had everything that they needed in the Garden of Eden. They had a relationship with God, food, shelter, and a purpose in life.  They believed that by eating that fruit it would make them happy.  Satan used their lust as bait to lure them away from the Lord.

Every single sin is an inside job.  It starts in the mind of the believer.  Does God give that temptation to us?  No, He doesn't.  Where, then, do these temptations come from?  First of all, they do not come from God, although He does allow them. James 1:13 says, “For God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.” In the first chapter of Job, we see that God allowed Satan to tempt Job, but with restrictions. Satan is roaming around on the earth like a lion, seeking people to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Verse 9 tells us to resist him, knowing that other Christians are also experiencing his attacks. By these passages we can know that temptations come from Satan. We see in James 1:14 that temptation originates in us as well. We are tempted when we are “carried away and enticed by our own lust” (verse 14). We allow ourselves to think certain thoughts, allow ourselves to go places we should not go, and make decisions based on our lusts that lead us into the temptation.  love is selfless and Lust is selfish.  It was sin that put our Lord Jesus on that cross, but it was love that kept Him there.

We need to decide what is leading us into temptation. What is luring us away from the Lord?  Our pastor taught us last weekend that there are cycles of temptation.  It starts with the attraction, the next step is the deception, ooh it looks so good.... I think having that could make me happy.  Then comes the preoccupation with it.  You can't get it out of your mind....  I just have to have this!!!! The next step is the sin is conceived. Then we become consumed by it.  If I took those drugs I would feel so much better, If I had that dress I could get that promotion,  That car could make all the difference in the world and if I had a woman like that all the guys would want to be me!!! The last step is desperation.  It is when we have made all of these bad choices that Satan comes and lies to us.  When we sow a thought we reap an action.  When we sow an action we reap a habit.  When we sow a habit we reap a character and when we sow a character we reap a destiny.

So what should we do when we are tempted?  We should ask the Lord to help us with it  and then we should RUN away from it like Joseph did.   Beauty either in men or women, often proves to be a trap both to us and to others. It allows us to feel pride, and requires constant watchfulness against the temptation that comes with it. We need to make a covenant with our eyes, so that the eyes do not infect our hearts. When lust has got the power, decency, reputation, and conscience, are all sacrificed. Potiphar's wife showed that her heart was fully set to do evil. Satan, when he found he could not overcome Joseph with the troubles, he assaulted him with pleasures.  But Joseph, by the grace of God, was enabled to resist and overcome this temptation. This sin was one which could have easily taken him over. The tempter was the captain of the guards wife, and she was a very beautiful and powerful woman. If Joseph gave in to the lust of his flesh she could have helped him. The time and place favored the temptation. The almighty grace of God enabled Joseph to overcome this assault of the enemy.  He thought about what he owed both to God and his master Potiphar. We are bound in honor, as well as justice and gratitude, not to wrong those who place trust in us, no matter how secretly it may be done. He would not offend his God, or himself.  He thought about who Satan was tempting. Joseph loved the Lord God, and in being a good Jew had a covenant with Him.  He thought about the sin he was being tempted with.  Others might look upon it as a small matter; but Joseph did not think it was small. He loved God and therefore he hated sin.  The grace of God enabled Joseph to overcome the temptation, by avoiding the tempter. He ran away from it as if he were running for his life. If we mean not to do iniquity, let us flee as a bird from the snare, and as a roe from the hunter. (Genesis 39:13-18)

So what will be our destiny?  Shall we take our temptations to the Lord and ask Him to helps us through these temptations so that we may grow as men and women of God? Shall we run away from our temptations?   I say yes!!!  Receive His Word of truth and live it out!!!   God's Word is our refuge and our cover (Psalm 91).  We should apply His Word to our life and live it.  Set his heart to study the Word and then do it (Ezra 7:10). Lastly we are to share the Love of Jesus Christ with a dying world.  To stand up for the innocents who have no voice, to feed the poor, take care of the widows and orphans and to be the light of Jesus Christ in this dark and fallen world.  To be in the world yet not of the world even until His coming.

Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. 11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

Living Sacrifices to God
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  Romans 12:1-2

Living in the Light
This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts. 1John 1:5-10

Forgiveness Will Set Us Free...

When we read the Bible we learn that we are forgiven though the shed blood of Jesus Christ  So why aren't all Christians living an ecstatic happy and fulfilled life? Why aren't we sharing the great love of Jesus Christ with every person we meet while we still have the chance to? I think we don't share Jesus because we think we are not good enough to do this. I believe it's because we holding on to things from our past life.  Everyone have the past. All of us have done things that were ashamed of. Many of us have failed dreams, lost expectations and things that happened in our lives that we never intended. I think the key to a successful walk with God is knowing that we will never get it right on our own and to move on.

The secret isn't to be perfect but to be quick to repent, quick to forgive others and even quicker to forgive ourselves.  We need to quit holding on to all of that dirt from our past life, give it all to Jesus and let the Him set us free!  Many Christians use their past mistakes as an excuse for not doing what God has called them to in their lives right now.  When we do this, we are not trusting in God. The Bible tells us that nothing is impossible for God. So whatever it is from your past that is holding you back know this, it is not too big for God to handle. I like what it says in Jeremiah 31:34, that when God forgives us He remembers our sin no more.  It isn't that our all knowing God forgets about our sin, it is just that He chooses not to remember it. What a mighty loving God we serve!

So the question is, if God remembers our sin no more, why are we still wallowing in it?  If we truly want to live an abundant life in Jesus Christ we need to live in the here and now and not yesterday.  I like what Paul teaches us in Philippians 3:
Pressing toward the Goal
12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:12-14
Paul is telling us to take our past and give it to the Lord.  To keep our eyes on the prize.  Can you even imagine what kind of a life Paul would have lived if he had held on to his past mistakes?  He stood by and watched as Stephen was killed.  He hunted Christians down and persecuted them.  How could God begin to use Paul if he didn't repent, forgive himself, keep his eyes on the Lord and move forward?  as you read the New Testament you  never hear Paul whining about his past life.  He listens to the Holy Spirit and obeys Him.  Paul knew of the importance of letting his past go and moving forward in serving Jesus Christ.  He had a powerful walk with the Lord and I believe that is one of the reasons why. In Romans 8:1 Paul tells us that there is no condemnation for those who are IN  Christ Jesus.  That is powerful!!!  We  all have that power at our disposal.  We just need to believe it, step out in faith and use it.

So how can we have a dynamic spiritual life like Paul did?  We need to forget our past and live in the here and now.  When we do this we will be open to the Holy Spirit.  I think one of the reasons that Paul appeals to so many of us is that we can see ourselves in him.  In Romans 3:23 Paul tells us that he is no different then any one of us.  That we all make mistakes and we all need to take them to the cross of Jesus Christ and leave our sins there.  It is when we do this that each one of us will begin to live the dynamic life that i know the Lord has in store for each one of us.

I believe with all of my heart that we are the generation that will see Jesus.  Do you realize how many people wanted to be living in the times that we are living in?  What an awesome opportunity the Lord has given to each one of us. We get to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with a dying world!!!  Don't let your past hinder what God has planned for your future.  Let it go, so that each one of you can become the mighty men and women of God that He intended you to be.

Loving God Under Trials
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of His creatures.  James 1:12-18

11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another.  John 15:9-17  God bless you!!! :):)

He Can Break Your Chains and Set You Free!!!!

This is a letter that I received this morning and for any one of you that do not believe that Jesus meets us right where we are and uses us for His glory read on.  It is so humbling when the Holy spirit allows us to be a part of leading someone to HIM.  Thank you so much Walter for sharing how the Lord has set you free!!!  I want to share this so that others may read your very powerful testimony and may be moved by the Lord as well.  I am just praising Jesus for you and your family!!!  I am so happy for all of you!!!  Here is the letter that Walter sent to me this morning.  I hope that you are all as blessed by it as I was.

I am writing you here because I don't know how frequently you check your Disqus on your tumblr. My name is Walter and I want to write you a short story about how you changed my life.  I just turned 18 and for the last 2-3 years have greatly struggled with homosexuality and the urge and desire for other men.  It was a struggle I had and suffered alone.  I was raised by a good family of Catholics who are now Christians because of the outcome of this story.   I had an easy life, no problems and no worries really but when I turned 14 a teacher I had in school who was gay was someone I could really relate to because he used to talk about how he had no friends (and I had no friends) and he would talk about getting bullied (and I was bullied) and all of that so I really could relate to him and then I thought well he is gay so maybe that's the problem with me...maybe I am gay.
So I sort of came "out" at school via dressing in really cute clothes and raising my talking voice so it was higher and changing my manerisms.  The bullying remained but I didn't care because I was fierce and the bullies couldn't get me down.   My dad noticed my change and my using some of my moms accessories and sat me down to talk to me.  I instantly rebelled and flipped out and I ran away and my parents found me and brought me home. I was gay and nothing anyone could say or do could change that.  Fast forward 2 years and a few boyfriends and I was feeling really empty and unfulfilled.  I convinced myself it would get better and that I just needed to graduate and get the hell out of San Diego and go to San Fran.  One day I was just in this dark and super depressing state of mind after having sex for the first time with a college guy (I was just turning 16) and I tried to kill myself.  I don't really remember why I did it but I just wanted to die.  My dad found me on the floor after he came home from work and rushed me to the hospital.
I woke up strapped down in a hospital bed with tubes in me and I was alive.  I was so angry to be alive.  I was forced to go on psych hold because I tried to commit suicide and it was there that I met this older man who was a Christian and had backslid and tried to kill himself because he was addicted to sex and porn (but he was straight).  He was talking about going back to church and all of that and told me I needed Jesus too.  Of course I was resistent to hearing this because I was gay and I knew everything.
Please know that from the time I was 16 my cousin Patrice showed me your website on Tumblr and I was going on it every day to fight with you about gay rights but I was reading what you wrote and I think to the depth of my soul it touched me.
So I got released from the institution and came home. I was still in a super dark frame of mind and I wanted to go online and take it out on someone so I signed on Tumblr and anon asked you a question about being born gay and you answered that regardless of how we believe we were born, we must be born again in Christ.  Those words touched me to the depths of my soul and infuriated me so I sent you quite a few hateful comments that you deleted and felt good for a few hours.  I went to bed and woke up sobbing and then I wrote you under anon that I tried to kill myself and you comforted me even though I was gay.  There was no hate there.  No evil there. Just comfort and love even though I was gay so I went online to bilbegateway and started reading the New Living Translation of the Bible the book of John.  I found it interesting and asked you questions about things I read in scripture. Then I saw your scripture pics with one from 1 Corinthians and when I read that book my life changed.
See miss Theresa, all the year and a half I read and hated you for being a Christian when I was gay, I was actually reading your page and somewhere inside me those words resonated.  When I tried to kill myself because I was gay and had sex and hated myself for it even though I had a strong facade, I came home and went on your site and said truly evil things to you and you still comforted me and gave me hope and scripture.  I was 16 1/2 then and I just turned 18.  I joined Calvary Chapel in San Diego Chula Vista the week after you answered me when I came home from the hospital, accepted Jesus into my heart and have never looked back.
That was 1 year and 23 days ago.  I just wanted to thank you for all you do and for being there for me and not abandoning me when I needed you and not showing me hate when I needed love and guidance.  You truly are a woman of God and you have changed my life.  YOU DO SO MUCH GOOD FOR GOD ON YOUR WEBSITE and I know that if not for the scripture you wrote or the words you say on your site, I would be either spiritually or literally dead today.
My family found Christ and we all became Christians and go to church and I gave my testimony about being an ex gay in our youth group and when I have days that are bad, I call my youth pastors and they really talk me through it.  God bless you miss Teresa.  God blessed me by sending me to your site.  I love you and wanted to thank you from the depths of my soul.
You may share this if you want.  I don't care.  I just wanted you to know that you changed my life and now I know God and my family all are Christians because of your little site and your kindness even though I wrote  you hateful and mean things.  You were the flashlight that guided me through my darkness to the true light of Christ and salvation.
God bless you.
Affectionately,
Walter aka Anon aka Waltie the Ex Gay

Discerning False Prophets
1Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. This is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God. But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here.
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them. But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception. 1 John 4:1-6

Word of the Day... May 11, 2012

Our Pastor read this poem in church and it really made me think about how I live my life day to day.  It is called “If Jesus Came To Visit” The author is unknown.  I hope that it gives us all cause to think about how we are living our lives and would we be ready if Jesus came to call on us.

If Jesus came to your house to spend a day or two
If he came unexpectedly, I wonder what you’d do.
Oh, I know you’d give your nicest room to such an honored Guest,
And all the food you’d serve to Him would be the very best,
And you keep assuring Him you’re glad to have Him there
That serving Him in your own home is joy beyond compare.

But when you saw Him coming, would you meet Him at the door
With arms outstretched in welcome to your heavenly Visitor?
Or would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in?
Or hide some magazines and put the Bible where they’d been?
Would you turn off the radio and hope He hadn’t heard?
And wish you hadn’t uttered that last, loud, hasty word?

Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books out?
Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about?
And I wonder if the Savior spent a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing the things you always do?
Would you go right on saying the things you always say?
Would life for you continue as it does from day to day?
Would your family conversation keep up its usual pace?
And would you find it hard each meal to say a table grace?
Would you sing the songs you always sing, and read the books you read,
And let him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed?
Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you’d planned to go?
Or would you, maybe, change your plans for just a day or so?

Would you be glad to have Him meet your very closest friends?
Or would you hope they’d stay away until His visit ends?
Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone?
It might be interesting to know the things that you would do?
If Jesus Christ in person came to spend some time with you.

Alive In Christ Jesus... Dead To Sin.

I wanted to share this post from one of my followers on Tumblr.  This young man is a mighty man of God and would like to be a pastor some day.  I found his post so encouraging that I thought all of you might enjoy it as well.

A good friend of mine once said,
When I guy says to his ‘future ex-gf’ WE ARE DONE. What he’s saying is that, ‘I just need space’
But, When a girl says to her ‘future ex-bf’ WE ARE DONE. She really did mean what she said.
Is this true? Guys, gals? I don’t know how accurate this is, but I’ve witnessed it. Guys would break up with their girlfriends, but later on they would go run after their ex’es, while gals when they say, ‘WE ARE DONE’, Boy, you better believe it. You and her.. are DONE.
Last Sunday Night I listened to our pastors message. He preached on Romans 6. What specifically stood out to me was verse 11.
So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. - Romans 6.11
How powerful and how true is this verse in our lives? Are we really declaring it in our daily walk with God that we are fully dead to our old self/sins and that we are alive to God and living for God because of Christ Jesus?
I have to admit, I have my days where I like the idea of righteousness, more than I desire to live a righteous life.
I like the idea of purity, more than I desire to live a pure life.
I like the idea of being a Godly Man, more than I desire to become more like a Man of God.
I like the idea of Worship, more than I desire to live a worshipful life. A life that’s full of constant offering and sacrifices to God through my actions.
I like the idea of being a Christian, more than I desire to die to my self everyday so that I can be like His Son Jesus Christ, everyday.

We need a reality check folks. I know God did it to me last Sunday Night. Having all these knowledge without applying them.. is pointless. To continue in sin and abuse God’s grace and say, ‘I have freedom in Christ, He gives me grace, He will forgive me, therefore, I can just continue in sin.’ , - Well let me tell you, you are LOST my friend. Pray for a revival in your heart.
Being a Christian is not only just making all these decisions, but to make every decisions rooted in a burning DESIRE to please and glorify God. You are no longer slaves to SIN. When Christ died on the cross and He rose from the grave He did it all. When you put your faith in Christ, you DIED to your sins as well and you are no longer slaves to sin, but slaves to righteousness.
Just like relationships. If you know you’re in a bad relationship, but your flesh wants to stay with that person, but you know that it has to COME TO AN END, it’s hard isn’t it. But you know it has to be done. Because something better is coming and you have to be patient and be wise. Breaking up with old sins, habits, patterns, routiness and saying, ‘I AM DONE WITH SIN’ is a hard choice to make, but it’s needs to be done. Because only then we can be fully free from the bondage of SIN and start embracing our new identity in Christ. Saved & Redeemed.
Check your heart, Let God speak to you and desire Him more than anything in this world, then He will show you His glory and majesty and will use every bit of you for His glory.
In Christ,
Mark Muldez

That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead; so although they were destined to die like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit.  – 1 Peter 4:6

Word of the Day... May 7, 2012

8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Eph. 2 8-10

"Following Jesus is not an event. Following Jesus is a lifestyle. Jesus exampled His lifestyle to us so we can live even as He lived. Jesus said, "Those who believe on Me, the works that I do, they will do also, and even greater works, because I go to My Father" - John 14:12.

Word of the Day.... May 5, 2012

“My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times… Pour out your heart before Him…" (Psalm 62:5-8, NKJV).

Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. – 1 John 4:18

Walking in His Love and Light....

I believe that I live in one of the most beautiful places on the face of the earth.  I think that God took great care when He created the Heavens and the earth and we need to take the time to appreciate the intricacies and beauty of His creation. When I was having my devotion Ithis morning the Lord touched my heart with His love. I feel so lucky to be His child and I am eagerly awaiting His return!!!

Today I was thinking about the New Commandment that Jesus gave to us:
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40
We live in a fallen and sinful world. It seems so impossible that as a sinner, we can ever make this commandment a reality in our own lives.  I believe that Jesus gave us this New Commandment to show us our need for His saving grace.  Thankfully, as Christians we have the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit inside each one of us to teach us that we can do nothing without Him.  As we trust in Him, He will lead us.  It is His power that we need to do this impossible task.  When we first became a Christian we have that feeling of love and euphoria.  However, it is when the trials of life come that we realize the extent of His love. We see His faithfulness in our daily life meeting our needs and blessing us through the hard times.  As we move from day to day as a Christian our love for our Savior becomes a deeper more abiding love because of those trials.

So how do we grow closer to the Lord in our walk?  We are so lucky that we live in the time that we do.  Unlike our brothers and sisters who lived thousands of years ago, we have a completed Bible to use as a handbook for daily living.  The Bible tells us that Jesus is the Word made flesh, so it makes sense that if we want to be close to Him and begin to live and abundant life in Him we need to read and meditate on this Word.  As we get into the discipline of reading the Bible daily,we will begin to see ourselves grow into strong mature Christians who give all the glory to God every day as we live our lives.

Nothing touches my heart more, than to take a walk on our beautiful beaches here in Hawaii.  I can see the Majesty of the Lord in every grain of sand, every shell, the fragrance of the air and in the mighty power of the waves as they crash into the sand.  Sometimes when I am walking I can hear the Lord telling me to marvel at the power and beauty of His creation. I can hear the Lord tell me to hold on to His hand  and to let Him guide me through each day.  The light of His Presence shines upon us daily.  We just have to learn not to dim that light with worries and fear.  Holiness is letting the Holy Spirit live and work through us.  Pause before responding to people or situations, allow the Holy Spirit the space He needs to work through us.  He wants to inhabit all of our moments, gracing our thoughts, words, and behavior. Then we can truly begin to walk in His love and light!  What a Mighty God who loves us!!!
