Word of the Day... December 26, 2012

24 “The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”’ Numbers 6:24-26

This is an incredibly beautiful blessing, maybe even one that we have prayed over our loved ones.  What a powerful passage this scripture is.  “The Lord lift up His countenance.” “To look, to see, to know, to be interested in, to have ones full attention.”  Here is what God is telling us through this scripture:  “I will bless you, I will keep you, and you will have my full attention through the days of your life.”

Wow when I looked that up I was blown away by how much the Lord truly cares for each one of us!!!  Have you ever been hurt or distressed and gone to someone who you thought was your best friend forever and tearfully told them what was on your mind only to have them look distracted or worse yet answer a call and tell that caller they aren’t too busy to talk to them.  I think that all of us have been there.  Friends though they tell us  that they care for us, they really truly have their own interest at the center of their heart.

 I am so glad that that Jesus doesn’t take a call when I am pouring out my heart to Him!!  When I am talking to Him I have His full attention.  He is taking in every single word that I tell Him and weighing my emotions and all of the thought behind my words. When we go to Jesus We have HIM one hundred percent!  What a mighty Lord we serve!!!  As you go back to work and get back into the routine of life.  Jesus, home, children and work.  Remember to keep your focus on the Lord Jesus so that you can have a Simply Heavenly Day in Him.  God bless you!!! :):)
