Word of the Day... September 30, 2012

12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15 while it is said:
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion" Hebrews 3:12-15

Can you believe that the Lord loves us so much that he wants us to be HIS children and partake in everything with Him?  To me that just sometimes seems so unreal, but it is true.  He wants us  to be His children but so many times we let works get in the way of our walk with Him. When we have a legal relationship we always try to see just how far we can go before we break the law… That is why the Israelites got stuck in the desert for forty years.  They had a legal relationship with the Lord.  They continued in unbelief and disobedience. They were like employees instead of sons and daughter of the Lord. When you are working for someone you never have that close family type of relationship.

But when we are in a LOVE relationship we go out of our way to be with and do things with and for the one we love.  Nothing is too hard when we are in love.  We would do anything they asked of us and we would gladly do it just because we love them.  That is the kind of relationship that the Lord has blessed us with.  We get to have the Holy Spirit living inside each one of us.  That blows my mind when I think about it.  He wants us in HIS family!!!  HE wants to love on us!!! Sometimes it is really hard as humans for us to grasp that.  The really great thing is that it is true!!!  We just need to believe and love it!!!  I don’t know about you, but I would rather be a daughter of the Lord then just His employee!!!  Have a Blesses Sunday!!!

30 “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. 31 And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. Matt. 12:30-32

Finding Jesus Through Faith...

Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. Hebrews 11:1
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

Without having faith it is impossible to please God.  This may seem like it is totally obvious, but there are people who try to approach the Lord and His power without truly believing that He exists. I know that I did and I would throw in a prayer or two for good measure.  Then there were the times when something bad happened and I would be on my knees crying out to the Lord.  Yes the Lord would help me but when the crisis was over my time crying out to Him was as well.  That is not true faith and I don’t believe that it pleases the Lord at all.  I think that is why there are so many Christians out there living mediocre lives with Jesus. They don’t realize how powerful their walk could really be if they only opened the Bible and spent some quality time with Jesus daily.

It wasn’t until the Lord came through for me when I had lung cancer that I really began to understand the wonder working power in the blood of the Lamb.  How much He really does love us and really does want to spend time with us.  I think that the Lord truly rewards his children that take the time to genuinely seek Him out.  The best part about Jesus is He doesn’t expect us to be perfect.  He realizes that we are dust in the wind that He blew life into.  I know that my attempts are clumsy and I am not eloquent as some of the other writers are, but I truly love the Lord and am open to Him working in my life.  I think that is something He loves.

When I first decided that the first hour of my day was the Lords it was a life changing decision.  My day is more positive and as the Lord reveals Himself to me through prayer and His Word it is a great base for my entire day.  I have Jesus on my mind throughout my day.  I want to share Him with more people.  As I get into the habit of reading the Bible and just being still in His presence daily, I get hungry for more.  Overtime it begins to change the desires of my heart so that they are more in line with Lords.  So that I could be a woman after God’s own heart like David was.

I actually look back at my diagnosis of  lung cancer three years ago as a great blessing.  Had I not been given this gift I don’t think that I would have the walk that I do with Jesus today.  I will never forget the dread that filled me that day when the doctor said those four little words to me.  “You have lung cancer” it is a literal death sentence and the largest killer of men and women in America today.  My first immediate instinct was to fall to my knees.  I knew that in my heart the Lord Jesus Christ would be my equalizer.  He was with me through every step.  He taught me that in the midst of terror not worry that He would be with me through it all.  Boy was He ever!!!  Jesus truly met me right where I was and where I am at today.  He filled me with so much joy that my mind, body and spirit could not contain it.  You see no matter how great your husband or your family is when you face your mortality, you face it alone.  Or so I thought.  I didn’t have to face anything alone Jesus was right there with me through it all.  Today three years later after finishing a barrage of tests I am still cancer free!!!  Thank you Jesus!!!  You continue to bless me with YOUR love and that joy unspeakable!!!

He will be there for anyone who asks Him to come into their heart as their Savior. If you want a new life in Christ Jesus, ask Him into your heart today.  Simply pray this:  Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you took the pain of the cross to give me new life. I ask you to come into my heart and to give me your peace and joy. I confess that I am a sinner that I have gone my own way and have done wrong. Please forgive me for my sins. I receive you now as my Lord and Savior. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit. Help me to follow you and to serve you all my life. Thank you, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.  If you prayed that prayer you are a new creature in Christ Jesus!   I know that He will take my hand and lead me through every part of my life if I allow Him into it.  That He will provide me with everything I need to make it through each day.  His gracious love never fails me and when He is the center of my heart and life my spirit flourishes in His transforming light.  He will do the same for you, You only have to ask…

Do not be afraid. Stand still, and
see the salvation of the LORD, which
He will accomplish for you today.
Exodus 14:13 (NKJV)
I love how God does His most magnificent work when things seem to be impossible from a human point of view.  When we believe that there is no way out God simply tells us to move out of the way for a moment, rolls up His sleeves and does His amazing work!!!  It is when we are weak that He is strong. I love how He is always faithful time after time.  He never lets us down!!!

Word of the Day... September 23, 2012

Trust Me and refuse to worry, for I am your Strength and Song. You are feeling wobbly this morning, looking at difficult times looming ahead, measuring them against your own strength. However, they are not today’s tasks—or even tomorrow’s. So leave them in the future and come home to the present, where you will find Me waiting for you. Since I am your Strength, I can empower you to handle each task as it comes. Because I am your Song, I can give you Joy as you work alongside Me.

Keep bringing your mind back to the present moment. Among all My creatures, only humans can anticipate future events. This ability is a blessing, but it becomes a curse whenever it is misused. If you use your magnificent mind to worry about tomorrow, you cloak yourself in dark unbelief. However, when the hope of heaven fills your thoughts, the Light of My Presence envelops you. Though heaven is future, it is also present tense. As you walk in the Light with Me, you have one foot on earth and one foot in heaven.

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
—Exodus 15:2

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
—2 Corinthians 10:5

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
—Hebrews 10:23  Jesus Calling

The Lord is good, a Strength and Stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows (recognizes, has knowledge of, and understands) those who take refuge and trust in Him. Nahum 1:7 (AMP)

When I read that scripture it makes me want to shout Hallelujah!!!  I am so happy that i belong to Jesus and I am looking forward to His soon coming!!!  We serve an awesome Lord!!!  God bless you all and have a great weekend!!!

Word of the Day... September 19, 2012

Do not worry about tomorrow;
for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day
has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:34
Here's a question worth your time: What are we to do when worry comes knocking on the door of our mind? We just ask Jesus, can you get that for me?
By setting our minds on Jesus and His Word, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things (worry and stress) will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).  When worry comes knocking at our door we shouldn’t even allow it to come on the porch.  If we allow it to even have one step on the porch, before you know it will invite itself into our home.

No, worry must be stopped. We have to decide that we are going to commit this worry to God right now and refuse to entertain it, even on the front porch of our thinking. Have a great day today!!!  Go out there and give them Heaven!!!

Word of the Day... September18, 2012

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Meditate on These Things
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:4-9
Reading this scripture today really moved my soul!!!  I couldn’t help but think what a loving mighty Lord we all serve.  He gives us everything we need while we are away from home to stay close to Him and grow even stronger in our walk with Him. As I look out on this world, I am so very grateful and happy that I belong to Jesus!!!  Walk in Him today.  Experience real joy!!!  God bless you!!!im Him HH’h’;]df;h[dpolg[epotl]peotlp epotlpe;otlpetl

Casting all your cares on Him,
for He cares for you.
1Peter 5:7

How wonderful it is that our Lord cares about the things that worry us.  Isn't it wonderful that we serve such a loving God who cares about every one of our needs? He cares more about them then we do.  Nothing escapes His notice.  No matter how many worries or anxieties we have, He genuinely cares and is able to see us through each and every one. He is able to bear all of the weight of our worries and the very best part is that He cares so very much that we never disappear from His radar screen!!  Thank you Jesus!!!  I hope that all of you have a wonderful week!!!  God bless you!!!  :):):)

Word of the Day... September 16, 2012

Rest in me, My child. This time devoted to Me is meant to be peaceful, not stressful. You don’t have to perform in order to receive My Love. I have boundless, unconditional Love for you. How it grieves Me to see My children working for Love: trying harder and harder, yet never feeling good enough to be loved.

Be careful that your devotion to Me does not become another form of works. I want you to

come into My Presence joyfully and confidently. You have nothing to fear, for you wear My own righteousness. Gaze into My eyes, and you will see no condemnation, only Love and delight in the one I see. Be blessed as My Face shines radiantly upon you, giving you Peace.

“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”
John 15:13

“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17

“The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

Word of the Day... September 15, 2012

He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31)

Isaiah is another example of an Old Testament saint who lived by grace (that is, by depending upon God to work in the lives of His people). This dependence upon the Lord can be seen in Isaiah's proclaiming God's power for the weak. "He gives power to the weak…those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength."
God wants to give us HIS power "He gives power to the weak." Those who are of the world cannot partake of this power, because they do not know the giver of this heavenly power. Sadly, many of God's own children do not receive this divine enabling, because they are unwilling to admit their weakness. It is in our weakness that we get our strength from HIM. Actually, the privileged place for receiving the Lord's empowering is to confess that we have no might at all on our own. "To those who have no might He increases strength."
When we are young we are most convinced of possessing personal power and might. When we are young we never every worry about getting tired. Yet, the truth is that even young people shall faint and be weary and the young men shall utterly fall. Nevertheless, there is enablement available that the most promising days of youth could never supply. It is an empowering that only God can provide.
This God-given power is experienced only by those who will wait upon the Lord. Left to themselves, old and young alike will find human might so frail and inadequate, "but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength." Those who place their hope in God are strengthened by the Lord Himself. They are enabled by God to live above their circumstances, looking down on life from heaven's perspective. "They shall mount up with wings like eagles." When it is time to press energetically ahead, they can do so without becoming exhausted. "They shall run and not be weary." When it is more appropriate to plod along methodically and persistently, they do not collapse. "They shall walk and not faint." All of this results from the power of God working within those who wait upon Him.
