A Closer Walk With A Thankful Heart...

What a beautiful day it is today!!!  I can't help but be thankful for every single morning that I am alive!!! There is no place like Hawaii anywhere in the whole world.  We are so lucky to have pristine beaches, fresh air to breathe and the warmth of the sun that is like a healing balm.  I can't walk on a beach without thanking the Lord for all of the detail He puts into every part of His creations.  What a beautiful place for my devotions. This morning I was reading in Psalms. I love this book.  David was such a man after God's own heart.  I couldn't help but think that is the kind of walk I want to have with the Lord.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.  Psalm 100:4
It made me think how lucky we are to have Jesus.  When we are thankful, it opens the door to a closer walk with Him.  We need to remember that He is always with us and will never leave us or forsake us.  Sometimes when we go through trying times in our lives it is easy to forget that one.  When we trust in Jesus and His Word it opens the door between us.  He empowers us to have a closer and more intimate walk with Him.  I love how the Lord goes to great lengths to preserve our freedom of choice in our walk with Him.  He gives us the choice to have a very intimate relationship with Him or to only know Him as an acquaintance.  It is always our choice and that is one of the things that I love most about Jesus.  However, when we choose to open that door with a grateful heart and walk intimately with Jesus, the blessings that He gives us are greater than anything this world has to offer and helps to cushion the impact of the trials that we face while we are here.

I hope that all of you have a wonderful weekend.  I hope that each and everyone of you take a little time out in your busy lives to spend a little time with Jesus.  I think you will be blessed!!!
