On this Good Friday, I am reflecting on all that my precious Savior has done for all of us.  I couldn't help but sing that old gospel song  Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe, sin had left its crimson stain and He washed me white as snow.  During the life of Jesus, thousands came to Him for healing and teaching, but the religious leaders scorned Him. They were jealous of Jesus and they arrested Him and charged Him with blasphemy for claiming to be the Son of God (Luke 22:70). mobs who used to follow Jesus and profess their love for him, now cried out, “Crucify Him!” The Roman Soldiers beat, mocked, and crucified Him.
On the cross, Jesus bore the punishment of all sin for all time. At His death, He cried out, “It is finished” (John 19:30b). Jesus finished paying the punishment for sin, as the perfect Lamb of God.  It is finished, probably the most famous three words of all time.  The happiest three words a Christian could ever hear!  Now heaven is open to us and because Jesus paid it all we could go to heaven and be with Him for all eternity! What a happy debt we owe to our Savior, our Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!

Jesus died for believing sinners. We cannot reach paradise on our own merit. Remember, God will not let sin go unpunished. If we bore our own sins, we would suffer judgment in the flames of hell. But God sacrificed Jesus as the believer’s perfect Substitute.   When we go to be judged someday God will not see our sins.  He will just see the blood of our Lamb Jesus and we will get a free pass to heaven.

The Scripture says, “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified (made righteous/good) by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation (restored relationship).

“Therefore, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned. . . . So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men. For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 5:6-1218-21). Oh what a precious gift our Jesus gave to us!

God created us in His own image so we can know Him personally and have a joy-filled life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and a freedom of choice. Since the beginning of time, we have chosen to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God and ends in misery. The Bible says that disobeying God results in being separated from Him.  Our attempts can never unite us with God. Through the ages, people have tried many ways to bridge this gap and reach God – without success.  I believe that each one of us has a little puzzle piece in each of our bodies that only the love of God can fill.  We try to fill it with all kinds of things like sex, boyfriends, children, drugs, alcohol, education, clubbing, partying and everything else that you can think of.  The thing is, nothing fits right in there.  Only Jesus can quench the longing of your soul.
If you want a new life in Christ Jesus, ask Him into your heart today.  Simply pray this:  Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you took the pain of the cross to give me new life. I ask you to come into my heart and to give me your peace and joy. I confess that I am a sinner -- that I have gone my own way and have done wrong. Please forgive me for my sins. I receive you now as my Lord and Savior. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit. Help me to follow you and to serve you all my life. Thank you, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.  If you prayed that prayer you are a new creature in Christ Jesus!  You are Born Again!

Next, you really need to read the Bible if you are serious about your walk with the Lord Jesus.  The Bible is your spiritual food.  You need to read and meditate on the Word of God daily to be fed as a Christian.  When you don't spend time daily in the Word of God your spirit withers and dies.  Just like all “living things” your spirit needs food to thrive and grow.  God communicates to us through prayer and His word.  I would like you to set aside time every single day just for Jesus. I want it to be at least 15 minutes and I want you to read the Bible everyday during this time and pray.  If you need a little more direction go to (and no I don't work for them) they have a sight that I use every single day.  I signed up for their read the Bible in a year.  They will e-mail you 2 scriptures every single day.  One from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament.  I promise that if you do this you will see a marked difference in your walk with Jesus Christ.

As we reflect on the love of Jesus on this Good Friday, rejoice and be glad that the Kingdom of God is ours through the love and sacrifice of our perfect lamb Jesus Christ.  His love is precious.  He will never leave you, deceive you, forsake or hurt you.  he will be with us even until the end of time.  I think Jesus is coming soon.  May God bless all of you during this Easter season and remember that without that cross of Calvary there can be no salvation.  God bless you all! <3

Amen!!! How lucky are we? Jesus is the savior of the world!
