Basking In The Son Shine!

One of my favorite places to go to is the beach.  Watching the waves and listening to the sea birds is a favorite way of mine to relax and meditate on God and his word.  He restores my soul there.  The knowledge that I share this beach with dolphins and whales is a plus.  When looking at animals I marvel at how intricate God was with their creation.  It blesses my heart that he took even more time on us and actually made us in his image.  Animals do what they were created to do.  They don't have free will and choice as we do.  Sometimes I think they have it better.

Sometimes I get so bogged down in what I am doing wrong I fail to see what right and good things God is doing in my life.  I have to always go back to the word of God.  God doesn't dwell on the stupid things we do and believe me when I say that in my life there have been plenty of those.  God doesn't dwell on the fact that I lose my temper more than I would like to.  Or that sometimes I am disobedient to his word.  It is at those times that I need to seek his forgiveness and move on.  I am a work in progress and God is changing me every single day.
 We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:10

I am so fortunate to have a loving God who forgives my sin!  He sees what I can become through him.  The word workmanship tells me that I am not finished, that God is still molding and shaping me.  In 2 Cor 3:18 God tells us that we go from glory to glory as we are being transformed into God's image.  I know that there is a long way for me to go but as I grow closer to God through his word and prayer.  Hope grows in my heart and the Holy Spirit envelopes me in God's love.  As I go through my day sometimes I get discouraged.  That is when I take it back to God in prayer and dive into the word.  In Psalm 4:18 I find one of my favorite scriptures that nurtures my soul:
The path of righteousness is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
 So you can't let yourself get discouraged.  God is moving you on to greater things.  Your future is getting brighter with every step you take.  When I have even one little doubt and think "How am I ever going to make it?"  I just look at how far the Lord has brought me.  I may not be everything I want to be but thank the Lord God I am not what I used to be!

Lately Jesus has been impressing upon me the importance telling people about the great gift of salvation that he has given to all of us.  I know that there are many of you out there who are hopeless and alone.  Maybe you are in the grip of something that you think you can never get out of.  Trust me through Jesus Christ all things are possible!  Just say this prayer:  My dear Jesus I am so sorry for all of my sins, please forgive me and come into my heart and be the Lord of my life.  In Jesus name, amen.  If you prayed this, you are a new creature in Christ.  You are born again.  Find a bible based church where you live and get your hands on a bible.  Start with the book of John in the New Testament and read it every day.  Ask God to help you.  Jesus said in John8:12
 "I am the light of the world, Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life"
That light is right there with you all you have to do is reach out and take it.  I believe that Jesus is coming soon.  Many of you have tried everything.  Why not give Jesus a try.  He has been around for over 2,000 years and he is the same yesterday, today and forever!

Don't Let Your Heredity Stop You From Reaching Your Destiny

I had a nice fourth of July and was lucky to spend time with family at home.  I was preparing food for the get together and  I was so blessed by the Lord. I had the church channel on and I was catching the last half of a sermon.  I was so very blessed by it.  He was talking about how all families have some amount of dysfunction in them.  After all we are not perfect we are human.Wouldn't we all just love to come from a family like the Cleavers or the Cosbys.  Where fathers never fought with mothers and children were never neglected.  I can remember as a child coming from a broken home, having little money and having an abusive step father.  On the outside it may appear that I didn't have anything going for me.  That God didn't have a plan for my life.  I didn't get the chance to choose what family to be in or who my parents would be.  But my path did not start with my parents it started with God!  In Jeremiah 1:5-8 it says

5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
       before you were born I set you apart;
       I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."  6 "Ah, Sovereign LORD," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child."
 7 But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.
God knew who my parents were going to be.  He knew what kind of a home I was going to have as a young girl.  He knew it all and watched over me and loved me. Believe me when I tell you that there have been many times that I have said "I can't do that.  Not from where I come from.  I was wrong!  All of the trials that I have gone through in my life have brought me to the place where I am today.  I am a woman of God who has a purpose for being here.  I can't let where I came from dictate what my destiny will be.  I have to keep my eyes on the Lord and my ears open to hear his voice.  I believe that God hand picked all of us to born during this time in history.  Jesus is coming soon and there are so many souls that still need to hear of his love and his great gift of salvation to us. I was reading in the book of Numbers 22:12 and was so blessed by this scripture:

12 But God told Balaam, “Do not go with them. You are not to curse these people, for they have been blessed!”
 I believe that when God breathed life into us that he blessed us.  He wants us to listen for his voice and obey his commands. I believe that we stay close to God through praying and reading the bible.  Ask him what he would have you be.  Then just wait.  Be still and know that he is God and wait for his answer.  It will come.  Will I still have trials? Absolutely.  The difference is that now I have someone to help guide me through the mine fields. He will lift me up when I am down and he will not allow anyone to curse what God has blessed.

On this Independence Day share with me ways that God has set you free and is a blessing in your life.  By sharing your testimony with me maybe just one person will be touched by the Holy Spirit and find their way to Jesus!
