Stand Against Fear!

This was a wonderful weekend.  I had a great Bible study on Labor Day! It blessed my soul so very much! I am learning and growing in the Lord everyday! We were talking about fear.  Did you know that fear is not of God?  If you have a spirit of fear then you are not living in the spirit of faith.  In 2 Timothy verse 1: 7 it says:
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline."
Faith and fear are opposites.  We have to make the choice to live in fear or to live in faith.  I find that in my own life when I am living in the spirit of faith my life works.  I am calm and my choices are good ones.  I am dwelling in the word of God more and am more peaceful.  Think about it when we are at our happiest and most peaceful is when we are living for God.  We are reading the bible, praying and sharing Gods love with others. It is when our Lord shines through us the most.  When we allow fear to overtake us is when Satan has the chance to step in and wreak havoc with our lives.  There is no balance or good choices.  In our own lives we have to make the decision that we are going to live in faith.  In Romans 10:17 it says:
"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."
When Christ was on earth he taught us to live the "Law of Love" In Matthew 22: 37-40 Christ said:
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.  A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
Nothing in the Kingdom of God works outside of love.  Everyone experiences trials and tribulations, hardships and suffering.  No one is immune from it.  You have to keep your faith in God and not waiver. The night is always darkest just before the dawn.  Dawn always comes and the light overtakes the darkness. I like to think of God as my light!  He is the lover of my soul and I take all of my concerns to him and lay them at his feet. God is love.  He always leads me in the right direction. The best way that I have found to communicate with the Lord is through his word and prayer.

Sometimes I have to close my eyes and take a breath and say "Be still and know that I am God" You would be amazed at how that one scripture calms me almost immediately.  He delights in us and will never turn his back on us.  Do not believe the lies that the world tells you.  Fear is not natural.  That is a lie that Satan tells us to keep us trapped in sin. Faith in the Living God who created us is natural.  I serve a God who wants to be in every part of my life.  He delights in the time we spend together in worship , thanksgiving and prayer.  One of my favorite scriptures that I stand on especially in these last days is in Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
That is my God!  He lovingly cares for me in every single part of my life.  His plans are so much better for me than anything I could conceive or plan. I have been on this journey with the Lord on and off all of my life.  He is the only constant in my life.  I can honestly tell you that he has never let me down.  Even when I was lying on that operating table waiting to have the doctors put me under to remove the cancer from my lung. When I was wondering if I would awake He was there.  When I heard Him tell me "The Breath of Heaven is holding you in his arms" I knew that everything was going to be fine.

I will be forever thankful to my heavenly Father. I begin every morning by saying:  "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it"  I will be thankful for today and not worry about what tomorrow will bring because I know that my Father will supply all of my needs.  Lately,  he has placed a burden on my heart to tell everyone of his love and mercy.  That Jesus is coming soon!  If you don't know Jesus as your personal Savior ask Him to come into your heart.  I promise you he will change your life!  If you don't know what to pray then just repeat this:
Dear Jesus, Please come into my heart and change my life.  Please forgive me for all of my sins and let your Holy Spirit come into my heart. In Jesus name Amen!
If you prayed this prayer, I believe that you have been "born again".  Find a good Bible based church and read the Bible every day.  God will bless you and will help you every day!  If you ever want to talk,  feel free to leave me comments.  I will do my best to answer them all.  Remember Jesus is Emmanuel,  God with us.  May He bless you with His Presence and Peace in ever increasing measure!

very redundant but you make a good point.

I have been a Christian for dozens of years after being raised Hindu. I make mistakes all of the time and each time I say that prayer you put from Joel Osteen and the Lakewood Ministries, I feel fresh, renewed and born again. It's amazing that God forgives sins, how lucky we are!

God Bless you Zulu! I agree with you! We serve a loving God!

OMG I SO HAD TO READ THIS THIS MORNING. I HAVE DAYS WHERE i DON'T THINK THAT I CAN GO ON SOMETIMES BUT BEING REMINDED HOW MUCH GOD LOVES US AND HOW WONDERFUL BEING ONE OF HIS CHILDREN IS, HELPS ME TO FIND MY INNER PURPOSE. GOD IS MY SALVATION, MY PURPOSE, MY LIGHT. THANKS FOR HELPING HIM RELEASE ME FROM MY SELF PITY TODAY.
CHEERS

Joel Osteen is a heretic who is making you focus more on yourself and less on the Lord and how miraculous HE is. He is greater than us. You should stop focusing on yourself and focus on him.

God Bless you Laura! I am glad that the Holy Spirit moved in you today!! Yes God does loves us and moves in us even when we are feeling low. He wants you to know Laura that he is going to move in your life! Let your beautiful light shine girl!

I wasn't talking about Joel Osteen. I was talking about the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible. I will pray for you.

Anyone who hates on Joel Osteen is just hateful and jealous that he has a lot of followers that he helps bring to and stay close to God. Joel is a servant of God and never claims to be anything more than that. He has inspired so many to open their minds, hearts and souls to Jesus Christ. How pathetic it must be to look at someone like Joel and find hate and jealousy when Joel has helped so many people with their path to the Lord.

God Bless you Jean, but again I wasn't talking about Joel Osteen. I was talking about how faith and fear were opposites. How God doesn't give us a spirit of fear but one of faith, power and love.

Amen Amen Amen sister!!! As long as we are living, we should be thankful for all that God has given us, to have faith that He will help us in the end and even though we lose sometimes, not to have fear and replace it for faith.

Girl this spoke to me so hard. I realliy want to thank yall for this, it was the Word I needed to day!!

Sometimes i feel such a burden in life on my h eart and my faith. i don't know how to overcome it and even when i pray i still have lingering doubt. what you say is beautiful but how do i get rid of all the doubt

Are you a precher or a pastor? You talk like you is. If u is then can u help me 2 know when to stop doing drugs n shit

Sister, we all must remember exactly what you wrote when we feel down. Life is too short to live it in misery and doubt. Your words and sentiments are so beautiful and valid. To the commentors that say Joel Osteen is a heretic, you have my prayers.

To the blog writer, don't ever let anyone keep you from spreading the Good News. The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is the best Good News we need!

Hi Latanya,
God Bless you! I Believe God has great plans for each one of us. We just have to stand on our faith in God and get into the word of God. I don't think we ever lose with God. I think those are opportunities for us to grow through Him! Praise God! Have a wonderful day girl!

How do you know the difference between true faith and fake faith like faith you want to have but don't really believe. How does one achieve true faith.

Rather have a man mad at me than the Lord. Preach on kelekia! Love this.

Is that a dog or a cat in the purse? Just curious

You say that nothing in the Kingdom of heaven works outside love. Well what about those who suffer? GOd doesn't see it because it's not happy love? So if I'm not happy, if I'm not in love and so lovey dovey happy with my fucking life that means God doesn't love me?

Denise,
You get rid of all the doubt by getting into the word of God. Get your Bible and start reading it. Ask God to take away all of your doubt and to show you what he wants you to learn through His word. I can't begin to tell you how important the Word of God is. I can't go one day without reading His word. If you don't have a Bible go to a good Bible based church and ask for one. There is probably a good Pastor or a Youth Pastor there that can pray with you. I will pray for you as well Denise. The Bible says Faith come by hearing and hearing from the Word of God. It is our spiritual food and we need it to live a rich life in Christ Jesus. God Bless you richly Denise!

Be still and know God. Some of the comments I've read are so sad they hurt my soul. Open your hearts people and accept Jesus as your personal savior. What the author writes is true!! Anything and everything is possible with faith and Love in God and Jesus!!

WHat do I do miss? I have a family who ares abusive of me. Will God help me/ is it like forest gump where the lil girl prayes 2 God and he takes her awy from the abuse daddy. I need a good home. I am 12. Dear God make me a bird so i can fly far frm here.

Anonymous,
I am not a Pastor. I am a Grandmother. Son you need Jesus Christ as your personal Savior! My son was on drugs for a time and the Lord God freed him from them. Just ask Jesus to come into your heart. Tell him you can't do it on your own. Ask him to forgive you and to fill you with his Holy Spirit. I promise you that he will free you from all of the Hell you are going through. Then get yourself in a Bible based church. Read your Bible every single day. Ask the Pastor at the church to lay hands on you and pray with you. The Bible says that when "two or more are gathered together there I am in the midst of them and anything they ask in my name it shall be done. I wish I knew your name I will pray for you. God know who you are. God Bless you and watch over you.

When they say give everything to God does that mean donate your money to a church and everything u own to the church in faith that God will provide for you?

Hi Valerie,
Of course it doesn't mean that. God loves us through all things. My life wasn't very "lovey dovey when I was going under the knife for cancer of the lung, or the chemo therapy I had to endure the whole summer after that. The difference is when the Holy Spirit lives inside of you you are filled with His love. Even in the midst of the hell of chemo, I have to tell you God filled me with more joy than I had ever felt in my entire life. He showed me that He would never leave me or forsake me ever. I know he can show you the same love dear, That is the beauty of the Kingdom of Heaven it works for every single person. God Bless you!

Hey Wanda,

He is my little chihuahua. I found him in a pet store and there was something wrong with his scull. It had not grown completely together. I fell in love with him and he has been with me ever since. His name is Buddy and he is 3.5 pounds. Though sometimes I think he thinks that he is a big dog! God Bless!

Faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of God. You need to read your Bible Anderson. That is your spiritual food. You won't live if you don't eat. If you haven't asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart as your Savior, do it. Then start reading the Bible. I promise you God will change your life! God Bless you Anderson!

Oh Lord, bless these lost souls and bless even those that know You for we need Your presence in our lives all day every day.

Doll, it's me, Mathilda. Firstly, I hope all is well with you. Secondly, yet again I am finding the food for my soul today on your blog. Can I say a few things in general and to your readers/comments who are so lost and confused?

Well, I'll do it anyway ;)

Firstly, people, God is good all the time, even when life is bad. I was raised by 2 very strict Jewish parents and am myself a very strong and strict Jewish woman and mother who has recently come to know and love Jesus Christ.

Regardless of your faith or lifestyle, life will deal you a certain amount of tsores (troubles) that we have to deal with. No one is going to live a perfectly happy life. Don't lose faith in Abba just because you have problems in your life.

Abba (God) is not an "easy button" like the commercials. You have to pray, have faith and wait for the good to come, it always does eventually. My people suffered through history for hundreds and thousands of years and when they lost faith, their problems got worse. Those who maintained faith, were rewarded by God.

You have to gleybn (have faith/believe in) God and all his power and don't lose sight of what matters.

It took me many years to come to know Jesus as the Messiah and though I am and always will be a good Jewish mother, I realize that there is so much hope and love for God's followers if you allow Jesus to guide you in all you say and do.

Sorry doll, I went on for awhile but I love your blog and pray all the blessings in the world on you and your followers. May Abba be with you all and never let you fall or backslide on your faith.

Rosh Hashanah begins tomorrow (it's the Jewish new year) and it's a time to begin introspection, looking back at the mistakes of the past year and planning the changes to make in the new year.

Even if you aren't Jewish, it's always good to look at the mistakes you've made and decide to change for the better. My change for the new year is to have total faith in God. It will be hard but it will be worth it.

Yom Ha-Zikkaron (day of rememberance) is not only to remember the past so you can not repeat it, but to clean the slate for a great new year.

It's never too late to know God and love Jesus, join me in knowing and loving God this year!

lang lebn zolt ir! (God Bless)

No, They are talking about giving your heart and soul to Jesus. Ask Him into your heart as your Savior. Ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit. Read your Bible ever day commune and meditate on the Lord God. As far as giving money to God I tithe 10% of everything I make to the Lord. I give some to my church and some to some of the missionaries, and some to CBN. Read Malachi 3 It tells us to bring our whole tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me on this says the "Lord Almighty", and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much a blessing that you will not have room enough for it. That is a direct promise from God. Then pray to Him on where he would like you to send your tithes and offerings. I am an old fashioned girl and believe in tithing to God.

Good word Bernita!!! I praise God for you!

I don't know where you live child. If you go to school you need to tell a teacher what is happening to you at home. She can get you the help that you need sweetheart! I will be praying for you every day. No precious child should ever have to go through what you are going through. I will pray hard that you get a wonderful home with a loving family.

Happy New Year Mathiilda!! I hope that God blesses you so richly this year! Praise the Lord! I am so happy you found Jesus!!! You bless my heart every single time I write and I count you as my sister. I am teaching my grandson about Rosh Hashanah (the little I know) from the Bible and we are enjoying making apples with honey to have a sweeter year and to thank God for everything in our lives. We are also praying for Peace in Israel. All Christians need to stand with Israel in these last days and pray for her every day. He has also given tithes with me to help the widows and orphans in Jerusalem as God commands us to do. God Love you!!!

Who said the path to God would be easy? No one. Finding true faith is a long process but worth it. Some of the comments on here break my heart.

I agree. There is much pain in the "world" I am so glad that Jesus is a Savior that can heal all that pain. All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me.

Hi Catherine,

God Bless your heart! Yes the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ is all we need! I will never stop sharing of His love and His great gift of Salvation!
