Basking In The Son Shine!

One of my favorite places to go to is the beach.  Watching the waves and listening to the sea birds is a favorite way of mine to relax and meditate on God and his word.  He restores my soul there.  The knowledge that I share this beach with dolphins and whales is a plus.  When looking at animals I marvel at how intricate God was with their creation.  It blesses my heart that he took even more time on us and actually made us in his image.  Animals do what they were created to do.  They don't have free will and choice as we do.  Sometimes I think they have it better.

Sometimes I get so bogged down in what I am doing wrong I fail to see what right and good things God is doing in my life.  I have to always go back to the word of God.  God doesn't dwell on the stupid things we do and believe me when I say that in my life there have been plenty of those.  God doesn't dwell on the fact that I lose my temper more than I would like to.  Or that sometimes I am disobedient to his word.  It is at those times that I need to seek his forgiveness and move on.  I am a work in progress and God is changing me every single day.
We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:10

I am so fortunate to have a loving God who forgives my sin!  He sees what I can become through him.  The word workmanship tells me that I am not finished, that God is still molding and shaping me.  In 2 Cor 3:18 God tells us that we go from glory to glory as we are being transformed into God's image.  I know that there is a long way for me to go but as I grow closer to God through his word and prayer.  Hope grows in my heart and the Holy Spirit envelopes me in God's love.  As I go through my day sometimes I get discouraged.  That is when I take it back to God in prayer and dive into the word.  In Psalm 4:18 I find one of my favorite scriptures that nurtures my soul:
The path of righteousness is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
So you can't let yourself get discouraged.  God is moving you on to greater things.  Your future is getting brighter with every step you take.  When I have even one little doubt and think "How am I ever going to make it?"  I just look at how far the Lord has brought me.  I may not be everything I want to be but thank the Lord God I am not what I used to be!

Lately Jesus has been impressing upon me the importance telling people about the great gift of salvation that he has given to all of us.  I know that there are many of you out there who are hopeless and alone.  Maybe you are in the grip of something that you think you can never get out of.  Trust me through Jesus Christ all things are possible!  Just say this prayer:  My dear Jesus I am so sorry for all of my sins, please forgive me and come into my heart and be the Lord of my life.  In Jesus name, amen.  If you prayed this, you are a new creature in Christ.  You are born again.  Find a bible based church where you live and get your hands on a bible.  Start with the book of John in the New Testament and read it every day.  Ask God to help you.  Jesus said in John8:12
"I am the light of the world, Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life"
That light is right there with you all you have to do is reach out and take it.  I believe that Jesus is coming soon.  Many of you have tried everything.  Why not give Jesus a try.  He has been around for over 2,000 years and he is the same yesterday, today and forever!

arent you afraid of getting skin cancer after having lung cancer? i would be. otherwise beuatiful blog.

I don't care if that's a dolphin in that wave, I would have freaked out!! As always I love the sentiment and validity of your blog posts and your images are priceless!!

It's important never to lose perspective and not pay too much attention to our tragedies that we forget or discount our blessings!! God is good all the time!!

I wear a hat and sun screen when I am out in the sun. I also try to go out before 11:00am or after 2:00pm because the rays aren't as strong then. Dolphins are still scary even when they are further away than this one. They have massive power. The good thing is that their natural enemies are sharks, so if you see a dolphin it is pretty reasonable to assume that there are no sharks nearby. God Bless you Mathilda!
I agree with you Thelma! We have to keep our eyes on our Lord!

God is the creator of all things and the negative things and diseases of the world are NOT His doing, they're the work of the devil to try to negate all the beauty God has created. I love this blog entry. Don't focus on the dark, stay in the light of the Son of God!

Praise the Lord Gertie!!! You are so right. Our God is a good God. He didn't give me my lung cancer, but I am praising God that he healed it!!!
