~ Wanted: Savior of the World ~

I know many of you who read my blog get sick of hearing about the love I have for God.  Well I guess if you are sick of it you have never faced a life or death crisis as I have.  You will never know true fear until you face death and look it it straight in the eye.  In my experience the first thing I did when receiving my diagnosis was fall to my knees.  It was automatic.  I didn't even have to think about it.  There was an instinct deep inside my soul that told me that if I wanted to live I needed God right now to intercede!  Let me tell you that when I fell to my knees He was there for me to catch me in His loving arms and deliver me from death.  From that day on I was changed forever.  I knew for a certainty that Jesus Saves!  It isn't just something you see on signs, it is real. I made a promise to Him that I would share His love with everyone I met.

In my business, sometimes I have to place "Help Wanted" adds in the newspaper.  I like to imagine sometimes how I would advertise for my miracle working, all knowing and most loving God. Lets see MLG  (most loving God) needed to forgive me of all of my sins, heal me from lung cancer, fill me to overflowing with the HS (Holy Spirit) to live inside of me for AE (all eternity).  Must love idiotic humans so much that He would send His only son to die on the cross for a world of people that didn't deserve it and then rise from the dead three days later.  Then proclaim to the world that:  “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).  Then as He ascended into heaven, He would leave the HS (Holy Spirit) to stay on earth with us as a helper.  Not only that our MLG (most loving God) would tell us that all of the powers that Jesus had while on earth we could have as well as long as we had faith in Him.

Doesn't that just sound almost too good to be true?  But the best part is it is true!  Jesus is alive and will come into our hearts just for the asking!  When you ask Him to come into your hearts He will fill you to overflowing with His love!  He will never ever leave you and you will be filled with so much joy you will want to share it with the world.

These pictures were taken this morning on my walk.  Can you honestly look at all this beauty and tell me there isn't a God?  I didn't think so.  I couldn't either.  Hawaii is one of the places where I believe that God took His time and really enjoyed what He created here.  Right down to the very intricate colors in a single plumeria flower.  Praise Jesus!  He leaves nothing out  These are the lagoons in Hawaii Kai where I walk in the morning.  This is where I ate my oatmeal this morning after the first length of my walk.  After breakfast it is about a one and a half mile walk home from here.  I am so lucky I live in Hawaii!

I am so very lucky that I get to see all the beauty that God created here!  The palette He uses and the beautiful intoxicating smell of each flower.  every flower has their own perfume and it is a feast for your senses when you are our walking.  I feel so blessed when I am out there walking in all this beauty.  These are the streets where I live.

It is low tide right now and I am almost home.  This afternoon when I go to get my fish for dinner, this whole area will have gentle waves and canoe paddlers out there.  I think I will make a lime and ginger mahi mahi with a spinach and orange salad with Gorgonzola and walnuts in a light mango vinaigrette.  I found these tiny mini angel food cakes at Costco and I love to fill them with a mixture of berries.  I like to use strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. I add just about a tablespoon of sugar and toss the berries and let them sit in the refrigerator until after dinner and serve them with a dollop of fresh cream.  Can you say YUMMY?

I hope you all where ever you live take a walk and take the time to admire our most loving God on your way.  I bet that you will be as amazed as I am every time I step outside and see the beauty that He surrounds me with!

THis is an amazing blog. It's so true, the Lord is always there for us. I personally am not sick at all of hearing you write about your faith. I like the angle you're approaching it from, that a person who is skeptical might see. Keep it up!! God saves lives.

What a creativ way to talk bout the Lord. Like a personal ad. Inventive and true. I read your blog with much interest. I like how you incorporate your opinions and life experiences with how God has affected you as well. Thank you for making me want to visit Hawaii as my destination this summer, these pics are amazing, where are they taken may I ask?

Cheers.

The pictures were taken in Hawaii Kai. It is on the south east side of O'ahu. It is maybe a 20 minute drive from Waikiki. I love it here. Thank you for your kind comment I am not a pastor. Just a woman who loves Jesus Christ with all my heart. I am so thankful for everything He has blessed me with.

I found your site via digg and I have to say I'm so delighted that I have. It was the fact that you started your blog with a sentence addressing people who may be anti faith of any kind. I've been called a holy roller before. The first sentence made me chuckle and I'm glad you addressed the non believers. I don't think you'r a pastor at all I think that this blog is a brilliant example of someone who incorporates her passions for life and faith into her blog as you should!! Blogs are like diaries, they are supposed to be about you and from your perspective keep it up

Hi Kelekia, what a purdy name. What does that mean? Is that Hawaiin? My name is Melanie and I am a cancer survivor. I was healed from stage 3 lymphoma after the doctors told me my cancer was incurable and inoperable They told me they could only treat it but not remove it.

It was through faith and prayer that the Lord helped me heal and I have been cancer free for 5 years now. I wanted to comment on your blog so I thought I'd do it on the most recent post. Thank you for putting Cancer out there for the world to read> most of the stuff on the web is all aobut Doctors and their opinions. It's refreshing to see Cancer and God in the same thought and phrase. God heals cancer, I am proof of it as are you..

Bless you my sister in Christ and keep spreading the Good word! I'm sure God is looking down on you and smiling for spreading His miracles and greatness into an otherwise sad and evil web. You are doing the Lord's work by talking about cancer and how the miraculous healing of God helped you overcome it. Without blogs like this, people lose fact that God is a miracle maker. I am so enjoying this. Best of luck to you as well as prayers to you and your precious family.

Thank you so much for your comments. I feel so blessed. I love Jesus so much! I am so thankful for all He has done for you and for me Praise and glory to God!!!

Pretty site, great blog! Look forward to more of this. =O]

This is so true. Non believers will ignore things involving God because they know in their heart it's wrong or they are so filled with hate that they can't see. Good way to catch their attention! I come from a family that has cancer of the cervix, breast and brain on my mother's side and lung, pancreas and cervix on my father's side. Almost all of my ancestors died from it or due to complications from it.
I was told growing up that I would most certainly have a high likelyhood of getting cancer in my life time and that I would likely die from it as my parents before me as well as my older sister.

I got cervical cancer as well as lung cancer but thankfully they caught the lung when screening me for my cervical. I was told I had less than a year to live on this earth by a man with a degree. I did chemotherapy and the cancer remained until a woman came to the hospital in Virginia where I live and talked to me about Jesus and faith and brought me to open my heart and soul to God once more. I was mostly a negative non believer most my life and she helped me find the Lord.

Less than 3 months later the cancer remained and I prayed all day and night and went to church and sobbed and when I was going for my 3rd round of chemo, I was in the chair about to get the needle put in when the doctor came up to the room where we got our treatments and told me he had a feeling we missed a scan.

I left without chemo that day, came back the next and did all of the scans and the helatious process which I'm sure you know about and the next day he called me in his office. I was about to go get Chemo and he told me my cancer had completely disappear, both of them...that my blood count was normal and that I did not need chemotherapy.

That was 5 years ago and I had stage 4 cervical cancer and stage 1 lung cancer. Praise the Lord He healed me as he did you.

God bless you and your spreading his word. I agree with a previous comment, you are helping bring Christ to people who are so lost or sad or worried about cancer that they don't want to see it or are afraid to find God. May He continue to Bless you! He provides if you believe.

Who knew, delicious has cancer survivors who do more than say they're dead and that there is no hope!! Glad I decided to browse delicious today. Jesus is coming soon and I am happy He helped not only save you sister but heal you.

To the blog owner and to Melanie:

I too survived the big "C", 7 years clean and free now. God bless you both and my prayers to you your familys and anyone else with cancer that the Lord heal them as he did you and that you stay cancer free

BuMp ThIs PoSt if YoU LoVe ThE LoRd! He SaVeD mY mOm and SisTeR from CanCeR. Halleluia

God Bless all of you! Isn't it wonderful that we all serve a "Living God" who truly loves us and heals us. All glory and praise to Jesus!

I read about this site on one of the many Christian forums I go on where a person named Jiulani said that some "self righteous Christian" was trying to bully you into stopping what you write and trying to make you feel ashamed and bad about writing from your views on your personal blog. I was all prepared to comment back to jiulani thinking this was a bad blog or Anti Christian but I came and I see that it's anything but.

I absolutely absorb what you right and I feel the passion and love for God in your words. I commented back to Jiulani thank you for posting this that the site is so filled with faith and love for God and that any person who would call themselves a Christian and then turn around and judge you and cut you down, try to discourage you from talking about how God has touched your life is NOT A GOOD CHRISTIAN.

ANY CHRISTIAN WHO WOULD CONDEMN YOU FOR WRITING YOUR FEELINGS AND EXPERIENCES AND HOW GOD HAS CHANGED YOUR LIFE IS THE KIND OF CHRISTIAN I WOULD BE SAD TO KNOW.

Do NOT get rid of this blog. Keep writing.

Pray for the "Christian" who is trying to make you shut down your blog or stop writing because they feel it's not enough about just God and too much about you. GOD loves YOU and this is your forum to write about how HE touched Your life. Only a bad person in general would try to make you feel bad and it's even worse that they claim to be a Christian.

As Christians we should build our brothers and sisters up and NOT tear them down.

Jiulani, if you are reading this, a thousand times thanks. Marks4Christ (on the forum).

I am part of a Christian group in Maryland and I found this website from the sane forum Mark who posted above is from and I think that jiulani has it right. You are not doing anything bad or wrong, you are doing tremendous good so please don't stop!!
